Indominus Rex Area
1615
Mr Masrani (walking with Claire back to the helicopter): Don't worry about Aldridge, Claire, I'll call him myself and reschedule it, he's a little old fashioned. (Removing his jacked and placing it over his arm) Claire there's that inspection tomorrow and I'd like you to bring the raptor trainer here so he can check out the Indominus Rex, her enclosure, the security measure get a sense of what if anything needs to be improved.

Claire (Raptor Trainer oh right, that Raptor Trainer): You mean Owen Grady or Barry Sembene. They're both responsible for the Raptors.

Mr Masrani (unsure): I believe that Owen is the one who trains the raptors, he did the same thing for the military, training animals.

Claire (typing the information and setting up the appointment): There are some concerns about the Indominus Rex's make up. I was not informed of the genetic makeup or sequencing even when I was sent the forms granting permission to go ahead on a project.

Mr Masrani (stopping; facing Claire): Claire, we've been over this. The Indominus is a feat in genetics, Dr Wu and his team have far surpassed what we've accomplished. You signed the necessary forms for the research and the project to proceed and that is all there is to that. Everything else as far as the actual DNA is, is nothing you need to worry about. Relax, Claire, the Indominus is going to ensure this parks future.

Claire (not liking things one bit): There are safety concerns, regarding…

Mr Masrani (patting her shoulder): The paddock is the most advanced and safeguarded we have so far. Also when you talk with Mr Grady tomorrow you'll see it's perfectly safe Claire. The paddock that is, the Indominus isn't getting out, no one's going in, relax Claire.

Claire (figuring she wasn't going to get any further information on the Indominus and that more than anything else worried her): I'll speak to Mr Grady before the inspection tomorrow. My nephews are here for the weekend so it'll be after breakfast with them.

Mr Masrani (holding his hand out): I know and family is important Claire, but I need you to do this so when we go in front of the board on Monday we're all set, especially with the contract and sponsorship. They'll be ecstatic with Verizon's new investment plan.

Claire (making a mental list for the board meeting; she also needed to print the notes from the last time): I understand sir.

Mr Masrani (helping her into the helicopter): How are you and your assistant getting along, Claire? Ms Young's lasted the longest out of the few you have had, highly educated too, she's a good fit then (smiling knowingly?)

Claire (wondering just what that meant; nodding): Zara, she's great, and she's lasted this long because she does her job (actually Zara went above and beyond) doesn't require me to explain things more than once, keeps her head down and has more initiative drive and motivation then my previous assistants.

Mr Masrani (pleased and getting to his point): It's hard to find a good working chemistry let alone a true partner (he watched the shock on her face) eh relax Claire, you work well together, in fact you work much better with Ms Young as your assistant than without her.

Claire (swallowing around a lump of emotion; there was that word again): Yes she's very good at what she does (Claire could definitely attest to that on so many levels.)

Mr Masrani (performing his pref light checklist): Relax Claire, I'm not going to do anything or change anything. As long as the park is running smoothly and visitors are happy and it doesn't affect a persons job I won't get involved (warning) if it does I will get involved. I don't have to worry about you, you're fantastic at your job, I never have to worry about things I shouldn't have to worry about. (Adjusting a few toggle switches) I know you've got a lot on your plate, and Ms Young does as well, and I appreciate the hard work you both put into running this place. (Setting the controls) do you think she would take a promotion or consider another career path?

Claire (nervously): You said you weren't going to change anything.

Mr Masrani (missing a flying bird): Not in regards to you as the Operations Manager or Ms Young as your assistant I'm not. But I have an idea for something down the road. I think she would be an excellent fit and yes (firmly) it would change things, but that's not why I'm doing it. (Adjusting another switch) it's a department and infrastructure I'm still researching and working out, finalizing the details. Just a thought Claire, just a thought. (Looking around) you know what though take Monday off both you and Ms Young, on me, you both probably have accrued so much time but eh anyway I'll tell the board to move the meeting to Tuesday. Now then back to the Command Center, shall we and we'll keep this between us the idea I have.

Claire (gripping the metal frame of the chair for support; Mr Masrani was getting better at flying, but he was definitely not someone she wanted to fly with for very long): Yes sir. (Thinking over the conversation, on one hand it would a great opportunity for Zara, she deserved it, more than deserved it and Mr Masrani was right she was highly educated, very talented and driven, and the reason Zara stayed instead of transferring was well the obvious of course, their relationship, two Zara was loyal to a fault and three Claire had tried finding another assistant before, someone to help Zara, ease up the load and that was no less than a disaster, even Zara had lost her patience with the girl. Maybe it was time to try again and try harder, train someone else and give Zara a chance to really step up and out.)

Zara finished towel drying her hair and started a pot of coffee; picking up her phone, letting out a frustrated yell at the missed messages and texts she threw the phone on the couch and started pacing. Once the coffee was finished she sat on the couch with a notepad and pen in front of her, dialing the familiar number; she winced at the tone and greeting of the person on the other end.

Isla Nublar to London, England
London England to Isla Nublar
London Time 2345
Alec: Well look who decided to call. It's been what a week Zara, you're my fiance, I don't hear from you and when I do hear from you...

Zara (gritting her teeth): We've had this conversation before Alec and I've explained myself.

Alec (anger evident in his tone): Let me see oh yes you're extremely busy, you have a lot on your plate, you work long hours. (Silence, rustling in the background) have you heard of what a bloody weekend is? (Silence then) are you allowed time off in that swamp or is that scheduled in as well?

Zara (taking a breath): Alec it's an island between the Pacific and Caribbean Oceans. (Rubbing her hands over face) I've already been over this with you. I'm not repeating myself or doing it again.

Alec: Ding, ding we have a winner, (silence) no Zara there's the word, not doing it again (louder.) You're not doing anything. You haven't even bothered to look at a venue for the wedding, you haven't bothered to set a date for the wedding and you ignore my calls. (Pause) you're phone goes straight to voice mail, you don't do me the courtesy of calling me back. Do you know how to send a text message, because I text you and I get nothing. I ask for a picture of you and I get nothing. I get bloody fucking nothing in regards to communication from you.

Zara (squaring her shoulders; yes she was guilty of all of the above, but he could at least try and be civil): Alec first off a nude picture of me is extremely inappropriate (how dare he had asked for that.) Secondly there is a bloody fucking seven hour time difference between us. (Taking a breath) and you know what Alec, there isn't going to be a wedding (letting out a breath feeling the weight come off her shoulders. For a moment there was silence and then unfortunately as per usual his volume rose and the things he said made her more grateful to call off the wedding and break the engagement.)

Alec: What the actual bloody fuck? What the bloody fuck? That's it you, you're calling off the wedding. You're breaking the engagement (laughter.) You...

Zara (no turning back now): That's what it means yes (hearing his nervous laugh.)

Alec: Do you hear yourself? So we're over is that it, is that what your saying. (Another laugh) you're determining the fate of our relationship and ending it. That's bullshit, that's utter rubbish.

Zara (fighting back): I told what I said (her voice rising) do I need to repeat myself, I said (yelling) we're over, I'm breaking off the engagement. (The blunt questions and statements made her cringe.)

Alec: I see (silence) so who fucked who first? Were you fucking your boss this entire time? Or was it the other way around? (Silence) I knew I thought maybe it was an affair or a fling, maybe due to your long hours, being away from me, from home, being away from the man you're supposed to be with and fucking instead. (Silence) I thought you would move on and pick me. No Zara, you chose to pick some women (yelling) whom you work for (anger in his voice) are you her conquest one of of her playthings...

Zara (angrily): That is enough, Alec (biting her lip she wanted to reach through the phone and slap him for his foul, demeaning, bullshit.) That is more than enough, don't you bloody fucking talk like that you bastard. You have no right, none.

Alec: No, you lying cheating bitch, it's not enough. You, you fucking cheated on me, you let someone else touch you how many times did you tell me no. How many did you say no that you didn't want to be touched, or used some piss poor excuse. You wouldn't let me have you, yet some woman who is obviously using you, can and did. (Silence) I'm done talking on the phone, do a video chat with me, now Zara. You owe me that much and I want to see you, see your face you owe me that much.

Zara (sighing): Half the time when you wanted to touch me it was inappropriate, other times your touch was not kind and caring it was about your needs and your wants. (Angrily) I'm not doing a video chat, not now, not with you like this and there's is no need to. We can…

Alec (yelling): Need I needed you to be an active participant in this relationship Zara. Not a bystander. Don't make piss poor bloody excuses, a man has needs yet you couldn't be bothered with not only no sex but everything else that there is in a partnership.

Zara (not wanting to recall a few rather difficult times): It takes two Alec, it takes two people and what about you. You're no innocent party here either…

Alec: You're blaming me, you're the one who ran, you're the one who took off. You need to own up to your shit and do bloody video call (loudly.) Do a video call with me, so you can go back to whatever job you have to do. It's the least you can do come on let's do a video call.

Zara (angry; hurt and just wanting to get things over with): Fine give me a minute (grabbing her tablet and entering in the information. Should be up now (ending the phone call.)

Alec: Well there you are, and what are you wearing? You're not properly dressed what's wrong with you? What happened to your hair? Why aren't you dressed? I knew that dam swamp would get to you. You need to be home, get a doctor, a proper doctor to check you over or maybe you need some medication.

Zara (dragging her hand down her face): No I'm not sick, nothings wrong (he had always cared more about the way she looked or dressed then she did) and it's not a swamp it's an island, island jungle. I'm in the middle of something and am working from the apartment.

Alec: Let's see no makeup, your hair isn't done, you're wearing a t shirt you've gone to pieces Zara. You know maybe you should take a few days, come to London, we can sit down talk things over, set a new date. I get it you've had your fun, your romp, you wanted to enjoy your life for a bit. We can sit down, talk things out, and put all this behind us. At least you didn't cheat on me with a man, a woman it's okay.

Zara (squaring her shoulders): I don't always wear make up or dress to impress. There is nothing wrong with me. And I'm not returning to London (she adamantly refused) there's nothing wrong with me. I'm enjoying my life, living my life and I'm happy. And for your bloody fucking information there is nothing wrong with me and there's nothing more to talk about Alec, nothing.

Alec: You know what you need, no blasted I'm getting a flight out, to see you, we'll talk things over then. You won't come to me I'll come to you and I'll be there Monday we'll talk things over and for Gods sake wear a dress or something. You're too beautiful for the grunge look, or whatever look your going for and do your hair, it's too pretty to be that messy.

Zara (angrily): I don't want you here and I certainly don't want to see you and I'm not changing for you and I don't give a bloody dam what you want or you think.

Alec: Can't hear you, must be all that interference from the jungle and all that. I'll send you my flight info and I definitely will see you Monday Zara (the call ended.)

Zara let out a scream of anger and slammed her hand into the wooden coffee table. Great just fucking great. Well she had until Monday she could have security escort him off the island, she could ignore him and let him know through email that she wasn't going to see him. What a mess? She had time and she could figure something out because she didn't want to see Alec, didn't want to deal with him, his temper and his demeaning attitude.

Claire Dearing's Office
1700
Claire (she was busy reviewing the piles of reports on her desk, which were beginning to resemble a small colony, she also had to approve the requested technology and equipment for ACU, find a backup vendor for the nursery and also check on the ferries operation, inspection and monthly safety checks, the outer intercom to her office buzzed, pressing the button): Yes

Vivian: Claire it's Viv (the door buzzed and Vivian walked in, notepad in hand.) Where's Zara (motioning to the unusual empty desk? If Claire was here and working then Zara was too, usually.)

Claire (motioning): Taking care of somethings. We have all the extra monitoring in place, alerts set up and queries running in the background. If someone tries again, or when they try it again we'll know.

Vivian (sitting down): Claire I was thinking and also I spoke with Alex. With all the issues going on, the cameras going off line, Alex is going to stay over into 2nd shift, I'll probably come back around 2200 hours stay until about 3AM and then come back in at 7AM.

Claire (already having thought of an idea;): Viv, no I'm sorry and that's against HR, corporate and the labor board.

Vivian (smiling; Claire was called the Ice Queen but she wasn't, not really, she was a tough but fair manager and valued her staff): Not necessarily. See it's exigent circumstances and all and if I put things down as on call and such…

Claire (thinking): No, because it's a labor violation and I need you on regular shift to help sort through these reports, and because no one else has the authorization either. (Pulling up the departments and looking at employees) how are Renee and Franklin regarding their work, responding to emergencies and writing reports?

Vivian (realizing it had been a long shot): Renee is solid, still reviews her notes at times but she's got a good head on her shoulders. Franklin a little on the nervous side, really good with the tech side and can explain bits and bytes better than I can.

Claire (typing a memo): Here's what I would like (leaning back) pull them both off shift now, have Renee come back in at 2200 hours and Franklin come back in at 3AM and you leave at 2000 then resume your shift at 6Am. Also anyone not regularly scheduled for this weekend is getting time and half.

Vivian (smiling): That's awesome thanks Claire. They'll appreciate that especially with numbers projected tomorrow, lost and found, heat related, you know.

Claire (pulling up the command center team): Let me see, who else, have Lowery leave at midnight, and come back in around 8. He'll ask a thousand questions as he usually does...

Vivian: He will but I'll tell him that Zara asked him to (chuckling.)

Claire (was well aware of Lowery's harmless crush on Zara): Anything else you need?

Vivian (mischievous): No, no I was just trying to think of a prank to play on him.

Claire (smirking): I'll deny everything.

Vivian (laughing): Come on Claire, it's so much fun to watch him practically fall over her.

Claire (maybe she needed to sit down and talk with Lowery about appropriate employee relationships, no especially as she didn't have room to talk herself, shaking her head): I'm not hearing a word (organizing her papers and locking her desk drawer, then moving over to the cabinets and locking them one by one.)

Vivian (shock): Wait am I hallucinating you're leaving before 2100 on a Friday. (Concern) wait hold it are you okay, is Zara okay. There's nothing wrong is there?

Claire (rubbing her face): Vivian calm down everything is fine. It's been a long week, I'm fine, Zara she's fine (or so she hoped) and my nephews are here for the weekend…

Vivian (excited): You have to bring them by Claire, I would love to meet them.

Claire (maybe Vivian needed to cut down on the coffee as well): We'll see. (Grabbing her purse and tablet) now come on you can walk me out for a change.

Vivian (putting her hand on Claire's arm): Claire you and Zara (seeing Claire stiffen) I know you're working a lot (squeezing gently) are you sure there isn't something wrong because she was in one foul mood earlier. I've known you for a long time Claire are you sure there's nothing going on? I know you're under a lot of pressure and Zara is too. (Looking at the woman she had watch grow professionally and move up the ranks faster than anyone else because of her business sense and intelligence and hard work, and a lot of blood sweat and tears, and she felt proud she had been with her since almost the beginning) don't worry this stays between us Claire, I wouldn't betray that confidence.

Claire (squeezing her hand): I promise you nothing is wrong. I appreciate your concern Viv, Zara and I it's like you said it's a lot of pressure, We're fine and thank you for that. We don't need any more rumors or complications. (Viv was one of the few that had started around the same time she did. She worked hard, often didn't get the credit from corporate that she deserved and was one of the few people she could call a friend and not worry about her stabbing her in the back. Squeezing her shoulder) and you know my answer Viv if people ask about anything or give you a hard time direct them to me. (A gentle smile) come on then, you can walk me out.

Vivian followed her boss out of the office, well she would probably spend the next minute yelling at everyone to mind their business and get back to work. Claire didn't deserve to be talked about behind her back and neither did Zara and she would make dam sure Lowery didn't start gossip this time either.

Claire's Apartment Suite
Isla Nublar to Ashford Ireland

Ashford Ireland to Isla Nublar
12 AM Ireland
Zara (dialing): Mum it's late I know but I said I would call you.

Emily Young: Hello Zara, my girl there you are. I'm glad you called me back, don't worry about the time difference honey. I don't get to hear from you that often, you could call more.

Zara (leaning back): Mum I work long hours and with the time difference…

Emily: Yes, yes I know you work very hard and is everything all right, are you well?

Zara (despite some of the strain in their relationship): I'm fine mum (silence) well not really. It's (oh forget it) I broke off the engagement and wedding with Alec. I'm not getting married, I'm not marrying Alec. It's over between us.

Emily: Honey did you have a fight (silence) every couple fights, look at your father and I, it doesn't mean he loves me any less. You and Alec, this comes down to, this is about your job Zara, your job and the longs hours and working on that island. You're so far away, maybe, maybe you should come home for a bit, take a few days off and come home, talk things out.

Zara (what is it with everyone wanting her to be where she didn't want to be): Mum I don't want to come home and I don't want to marry Alec.

Emily: Well you're young honey, wait why did you meet someone, have a fling with a nice guy…

Zara (chuckling; her mother was blunt and held nothing back): No mum it was…

Emily: A girl then, I've heard about these things I'm old but I know these things happen. You're very pretty with that hair of yours and your eyes, those green eyes of yours. And you're still young, I understand. Twenty five in January and at your prime, you want to enjoy life, experience things. Zara, Alex he loves you, you just need to sit down talk to him, tell him what happened, be honest. Have you thought about this, maybe postpone the wedding. That's it there's a lot of pressure with weddings Zara.

Zara (at her breaking point; pacing the living room): Mum listen to me, please listen to me. I'm not marrying Alec, I don't love him he's not right for me and he's not who I want to be with.

Emily: Zara are you is there…

Zara (pouring her heart out): Mum I've met someone, someone incredible, who respects me, cares for me and she loves me for who I am, I'm happy mum, isn't that what you've always wanted for me.

Emily: I want you to be happy, I haven't always made it easy for you to believe that. But have you thought about this, thought things through. Things, things are hard, people don't always understand.

Zara (firmly): Mum I, she is everything I didn't know I was looking for until she came into my life. You know that story I loved to read about the soulmates, about there being someone who is the pieces of you, mum she is my mo anam cara, mo ghrá, mo cuishle, mo gach rud.

Emily: Are you sure? I know you loved that story that poem but that is, that is, those are old tales, tales from a time long ago. They were fairy tales, things like that don't really exist, Zara. You may think they do but eh those are tales honey.

Zara (looking around): You used to believe in the old tales as much as I do. You would read them to me in Gaelic and mum I do believe in them, in her. She's all that and more. I love her.

Emily: You are an adult, you're a grown woman free to make your choices. I want you think about this though Zara, think things over are you sure, absolutely sure of this. Love, soulmates that's not going to put food on your table, or put a roof over your head.

Zara (firmly): I am and it's what I want, what I feel is right, I feel so much with her and she loves me. There's nothing to reconsider, I'm happy, I'm happy and I'm in love with her mum.

Emily: Well you'll have to talk with your father and I guess its what you choose, but I hope you know what you're doing. Things aren't always easy you know, people aren't always accepting, and understanding. Please think things through very carefully, that's all I ask.

Zara (relief): Thank you, it means a lot for you to say that.

Emily: I'll talk with your father, give him a bit then you need to tell him Zara. You know he'll listen to you. He wasn't always easy to deal with but he did end up listening to you eventually.

Zara (sighing): I will mum, I've got to go I've got a call coming in that I've been waiting on.

Emily: I'll talk to you soon Zara, take care of yourself.

Zara (softly): Talk to you soon mum, (softly) I love you (the call ended and she felt better, a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. Her relationship with her parents wasn't exactly the best, she had a lot of demands placed on her when she was younger, they didn't always listen to what she wanted but she knew her parents loved her and given time they would come around. Eventually they would meet Claire now that was an idea, a trip to Ireland for a bit, show Claire where she had grown up. Take her out to some of the old ruins, share the old tales and have Claire meet her family. Zara knew one thing was for certain they would not be staying at her parent's house. No, no definitely not. Zara made a mental note to start looking at some of the old taverns and guesthouse nearby.

IT Office
1700
Alex (reading the new query results, then the report on her desk; looking up at the screens mounted on the wall, she saw that everything was working as it should be, there were no alerts or flashes to indicate a problem; finding something in the new query, she smirked, typing in some code and attempting to capture whatever or whoever it was): Well there you are you bugger? No, no dammit (rerunning the program) hmm let me see no, that's not it and here we are (another false lead) what in the seven levels of Hades is going on here?

Vivian (knocking and entering; Alex's office was in a constant state of organized chaos; between the books, reports, various pieces of technology piled up, it almost resembled Claire's, almost): I don't know you tell me, you're the expert.

Alex (chuckling): I'm no expert Viv and I wish I knew, this is the damnedest thing (watching the scripts running in the background.) Whoever this is, they're good (switching screens and reviewing the monitors and the alerts) but not good enough. Good thing that Claire and Zara started locking out unnecessary badge access, at least until Monday.

Vivian (reading off her own notes): And you should hear people complaining. Did you read Claire's memo (Alex nodded?) Watching the multiple monitors for a minute) well they're not that good, so far, they're not getting in and the cameras are stable and online. So what are we looking at?

Alex (typing): Vivian besides the dammed bloody obvious what else could be someone after?

Vivian (sitting down): You mean besides embryos, eggs, dinosaurs, data, research that's all I can think of. We have 256 bit POS's, visitors have those bands which report their location, ride, attraction, building and that's constantly monitored.

Alex (answering her phone): Hi (listening) I'm going to put you on speaker so Vivian can hear you.
You there Zara?

Zara: I'm here, (silence) hi Vivian.

Vivian (moving her chair closer to the desk): Hey Zara Claire just left, and we were just discussing the headache we're having.

Zara: I read through the reports, I also rechecked and looked back on the issue with the cameras, security locks what if this is a test. Testing our fail safes and security systems looking for a weakness in the system?

Alex (booting up her laptop): I've thought of that but it doesn't appear that way. Whatever this is, whoever this is, looks like they're trying to get in someplace.

Vivian (leaning over): It still doesn't answer the question of what are they after?

Zara: It might, if we take into account, everything going on at every single moment in the park, and every single piece of equipment, information and so forth then maybe that's an angle to look into. It's a lot of information, and if someone is testing something to see if they can remove that information, something that no one else has then it's an idea. And it might explain what I just mentioned, whoever is testing our systems to see if they can uncover a blind spot, line of code, fault anything that could be a weakness they could use to remove it or get into something they're not authorized to.

Alex (typing): That makes sense. Now I have to figure out what would be the most valuable out of your listed variables, besides the obvious and try to find it.

Vivian (thinking of something): Zara, could they be trying to take a critical system offline. Gods forbid but that's another angle I thought of.

Zara: I have and so has Claire and I don't think it's one whole critical system. They wouldn't be able to either, between the generators, UPS systems, and backups it would be a minor glitch. We wouldn't even notice it if it did happen. That information is only known to Claire, Mr Masrani and one other person the Captain of ACU, Tom Blane, no one else, not even me, Claire told me about it when I started. Alex do you have any idea about it? Vivian?

Alex (shaking her head and looking at Vivian): No. It was mentioned to me when I was on boarded because I'm head IT but nothing other than, ensure all the data backups are done twice a week, double check badge access etc.

Vivian (shifting): No and it wasn't mentioned to me during on boarding.

Zara: All right well the best we can do is continue to monitor, keep things as they are until Monday.
I'll probably pop in tomorrow grab the reports and go over everything that comes in from 2nd and 3rd shift.

Vivian (remind Zara): Did you get the email from Lowery?

Zara: Yes. I'll grab the AP and repeater and some tools and go out to the maintenance shed myself…

Alex (knowing ACU was supposed to be with any employee when they were outside of the main park and near any of the animals): Who's going with you?

Zara: No one. It's just a run out there, do a little tinkering, install a box. Besides they won't be able to spare anyone with training and the projected tickets sales for tomorrow, rather have them on hand instead of escorting one person to one of the old maintenance sheds.

Alex (knowing Claire was not going to like that one bit): You're one brave lass, better you to face Claire Dearing's wrath then me, good luck with that.

Vivian (chuckling): Zara you know she's not going to be happy.

Zara: Don't worry about Claire, I can handle (silence) yeah anyway have a good night call me the minute something comes up and see you both tomorrow.

Alex (teasing): Good luck with Claire and we'll see you tomorrow.

Vivian (smirking): Night Zara.

Alex (ending the call): I know someone's going to be in a wee spot o trouble when Claire hears what Zara has planned (mischievously.)

Vivian (getting up): Well better Zara then us, if Claire's temper flairs Zara will soothe and calm Claire with that little lilt of hers and those green eyes. (Stretching) I'm going to get coffee, coming with.

Alex (smiling at the little message that popped up): Yeah sounds good. Let's go (standing stretching) leave this query running. Chris just messaged me (Chris was her wife, Royal Navy currently finishing out a six month tour which would be up Monday. She would be back to Isla Nublar Wednesday.)

Vivian (waiting as Alex locked her computers, then the door, then the key code pad): And…

Alex (excitedly): Chris will be here by Wednesday, depending on how the flights are from whatever port they land in to Costa Rica and from Costa Rica to the Isla Nublar by ferry.

Vivian (yelling in excitement she was so happy for her Alex; Alex had been part of the original onboard at the park's beginning. Alex was also the one to give her, her job offer. Alex and Chris had only been married for over 5 years. They met here on Isla Nublar when Chris and her team, started training beginning and intermediate search and rescue training. Planning): We have to plan a party, get everyone from IT and Command, obviously Clare and Zara of course, a few of the ACU guys and girls (most of which who were former military and, Alex had stopped, she was smiling) come on we have to plan.

Alex (agreeing): Chris has been at sea for six months, let's hold off on the party until the weekend. She's probably going to spend the first two days eating and sleeping (and lots of reconnecting.)

Vivian (grinning ear to ear): And well you two have some catching up. Please tell me you requested a day or two off when she gets home. If not I'll tell Claire, worse I'll tell Zara who will tell Claire then which…

Alex (guiding Vivian out of the way of visitors): I did and Claire told me and I quote I had better not hear from you until the following Monday. Barring an emergency of course (grinning ear to ear.)

Vivian(opening the door to the Jungle Bean): Awesome. So (teasing) four days just the two of you, whatever shall you do?

Alex (laughing): Well besides a party on Saturday, the other days well (grinning) that's for me to know and you to get your mind out of the gutter (playfully shoving her.) Come on I'm buying.

Vivian (teasing): Maybe you should start eating more too, build up your energy for all that…

Alex (exasperated, enjoying the moment of playful banter, this whole mess with the badge and cameras had her on edge): Vivian…

Vivian (smirking): I'm just saying (Alex was laughing and smiling so different than when she was in her office and working on all the technological devices and tools for the park and its employees, the constant monitoring and all the other things she did) And I'm buying it's good to see someone happy and in love and just being able to be.

Alex (agreeing): Everyone should just mind their dam business and do their jobs and leave the rest of everything be.

Vivian (patting Alex on the shoulder): Amen, sister, amen.

They bought their coffee, playfully fighting over who would pay the bill then headed back out into the park. They sat at one of the outdoor tables watching visitors and guest scurry along to an attraction or to one of the hotels or to one of the cafes or restaurants. Even this late in the afternoon the park was running full throttle and wouldn't likely slow down until after 8 or 9 PM. Tomorrow, Saturday would be even busier based on ticket sale projections and pre orders.

No one in the park neither employee or visitor knew what would happen tomorrow for if they had, they would have slowed down, enjoyed the moment, taken their time of hurrying along to the next thing and the next thing. They would realize that their once in a lifetime opportunity would all come to a horrifying end.
