The Hunger Games: Victors Retold

Inspired by The Victor’s Project by Oisin55 and Tales of the Hunger Games by Christian Blanco, The Hunger Games:Victors Retold tells the stories of all 75 victors of the Hunger Games, both canon and non-canon. Most chapters are around 500 words, which is perfect for any Hunger Games fans looking for a quick look into the archives of Panem.

5. Logan Ellendale

Logan Ellendale is a man celebrated in his own district, but despised by many others.

His path to victory saw him claim the lives of 7 and become the youngest Victor yet, at the tender age of 15.

Despite his age, Logan had already begun growing into an assertive and commanding figure. His almost unbelievable height of 6'4 made many tributes wish to ally with him, a decision that would soon prove to be fatal.

His team contained both tributes from 4 and 10, as well as the girl from 1 and boys from 3 and 9. The eventual victor decided to put his trust in his fellow outer district males (from 9 and 10) and so disclosed his plan for the arena with them, preparing to take full control of the alliance within the first few minutes.

A particularly gory bloodbath saw 12 tributes die, mainly caused by the huge group. However, one of these deaths was the girl from District 4, suffering a dagger through the eye by Axel, the male from 8, who was quickly dispatched of by Husk, from 9.

When the bloody scene began to calm down, Logan led his team into one of the arena's tunnels, where, without a word being spoken, he joined Husk and the boy from 10 in mercilessly stabbing their remaining allies to death. In a move that was not part of the plan, Logan then proceeded to kill the rest of his comrades, a look of shock forever stained on Husk's face as he collapsed, dead.

This left the boy from 11 alone against 4 other armed tributes, including the pair from 7, who looked promising again this year. For this reason, he made the decision to hide himself among the bodies of his former allies. This proved to be a wise choice, as the guy from District 6 virtually walked over him, allowing Logan to emerge and plunge his knife into his head without a second thought.

Logan continued hiding until the boy from District 12 had just about won his fight against the duo from 7, but was so exhausted from the clash that he fainted onto his own sword, killing him in a matter of moments. This left Logan as the winner of the 5th Hunger Games.

Logan returned to District 11 after his games and became a renowned mentor, bringing a significant number of victors to a rather insignificant district.
