By the time that the 7th Hunger Games had rolled around, the yearly festival of teenagers killing each other had become tradition. Those such as Cristatus Richards were absolutely loving it.

The District One boy's family stayed neutral during the war, but then quickly switched to the side of the Capitol as the final battles came to a close. This saw their wealth and prosperity soar, and transformed the young Cristatus into one of the most extreme rebel-haters in Panem.

During the bloodbath of his games, he smashed the District Five duo's heads together for destroying power plants during the war and began to torture the 12-year old girl from 8 for the massacre of Peacekeepers in her district that kickstarted the Dark Days.

The District 1 boy lapped up the applause from the crowd, a true showman, pinning his victim down and asking the spectators if he should have mercy.

As expected, they voted no.

He revelled in their support, instilling fear in the rapidly declining number of tributes.

He then proceeded to slay both tributes from 4,9, 10, and 11 whose districts worked together to cut off food supplies to the Capitol whilst keeping themselves fully stocked. Finally, he slit the throat of the boy from District 3, as punishment for the bombs that the technology region produced that devastated innocent Capitolians and their livelihoods.

Cristatus left the arena as a hero, patriarch and model citizen. As the Capitol tabloids nicknamed him, a truly honourable "Son of Panem."

He returned to his home district as a celebrity, inspiring many to volunteer for upcoming games, albeit with varying levels of success.

As the rebels came to discover, Mr. Richards was also a uniquely intelligent character. As much as he loved the games and all that they stood for, he knew that they could be the cause of a second rebellion that would bring anarchy to his beloved nation. Therefore, before his death during Finnick Odair's victory tour, he developed strategies that were used with overpowering effects during the so-called Mockingjay Rebellion that he predicted, most notably the firebombing of District 12.

Victor 7: Cristatus Richards, age 18, from District 1. 12 kills.
