Chapter 1: New World
The Multiverse is a unique concept in which any world can be created simply because of one decision. And this story is exactly that, due to one decision a new story shall happen with a Demon King and one of his wives alongside him.
"Honestly why is the library this far?" Complained a black-haired teen as he walked alongside a beautiful young woman with black hair tied into a ponytail.
"I know but remember Kaori asked us to get that novel, but I must admit though this library is surprisingly far." Said the woman.
You may ask yourself what in the world are they doing, and who are they? Well, to answer that question we must reveal who these two people are. The man is Hajime Nagumo, also known as the Demon King of another world, and the woman next to him is Shizuku Yaegashi one of his wives. And they are walking to the library because Kaori his other wife saw online, that the newest edition of her favorite novel series was now available in stores, but because she was busy she asked both Hajime and Shizuku to pick it up for her, and that's why we see them walking to the only that still has the novel available yet it is pretty far.
And to those who are wondering why he didn't simply teleport them there? That answer is simple, Shizuku wanted to walk with him, and as the good husband he is, he complied.
"Ahh, At least we can see it now." Said Hajime.
"Hey, it wasn't that bad." Said Shizuku with a smile on her face.
When Hajime saw her smile it honestly made his mood a lot brighter especially seeing Shizuku more open about her tastes in fashion. She was wearing a white button-up sleeveless shirt with a knee-length pink skirt which contrasted beautifully with his clothes which consisted of a black t-shirt and black pants.
"Yeah, I guess." Said Hajime with a small smile as he opened the door for her to enter.
As they entered the library they spent the next 10 minutes trying to find the book without magic until they finally found it in a section. Where they that there wasn't anyone except a black-haired teen with a green hoodie on.
"Ah found it!" Exclaimed Shizuku as she found the book.
"Finally I was getting pretty annoyed having to look through all of these books." Said Hajime as he approached Shizuku but at that moment a few books fell on top of the black-haired teen.
"Damn!" Exclaimed the black-haired teen.
At that, both Hajime and Shizuku approached him.
"Hello, are you okay?" Asked Shizuku kindly.
"Yeah I am, thanks for asking." Said the black the haired teen thanking Shizuku but then as he looked down at the books he saw one with a red cover.
"The hell?" Said the teen as he picked it up.
"What is it?" Asked Hajime as he saw the teen pick up the book.
"Nothing it's just the title of this book." Said the teen.
"The title?" Asked Shizuku confused by the importance of it.
"Yeah, it's titled the four Cardinal Weapons.
"Interesting title for a light novel." Stated Hajime while giving a suspicious look which didn't go unnoticed by Shizuku.
At that, the black haired opened it and started reading it.
"To save the world from the waves of apocalyptic catastrophe four heroes shall be summoned from another world." Stated the teen.
"Definitely light novel material." Stated Hajime.
"Definitely." Also stated the teen while Shizuku simply sighed by them being otakus.
"Each hero holds a distinctive weapon a sword, a spear, a bow, or a shield." Stated the teen.
"Pretty strong weapons in their own right." Judged Shizuku.
"Yeah that's true but the shield is more like armor than a weapon." The teen gave his opinion which made the other two shrug their shoulders.
"Any way where is the heroine in this thing? I doubt that it's this princess, she seems kinda bitchy." Stated the teen which made Hajime chuckle a bit.
"Oh come on she doesn't seem that way." Stated Shizuku.
"She does"They both stated.
"Ahh Whatever you say." Chastised Shizuku.
"Yeah well, at least these heroes guy looks pretty damn cool and impressive." Stated the teen.
"I'm not that much of a fan when it comes to heroes myself, but they do seem interesting." Stated Hajime.
"Yeah, I can understand that, from what I could tell all four of them are the main protagonists. It spotlights on sword, spear, bow, even the shield hero gets a-" As the teen was flipping the pages he saw that the story of Shield Hero was left blank which raised alarms for both Hajime and Shizuku.
"Hey man you sh-" As Hajime was going to speak a bright golden light suddenly appeared out of nowhere with it a sudden influx of magic power and it engulfed all three of them at that moment they all started falling. As they were falling Hajime tried to use the crystal key but at that moment he realized that he couldn't access it, and with that, they all fell to the floor.
"Fantastic the summoning was a success!" They heard a priest saying that as they looked up they saw a group of priests in front of them.
"Brave he-" As he was speaking Hajime went up and grabbed him by his shirt collar and said this.
"Send me and my wife back home now." He stated with venom in his voice.
"Please her-" As the priest tried to explain himself he was cut off again.
" .Now." Stated Hajime.
"We can't!" Said the priest.
"Why do you mean you can-" As Hajime was going to say something he was interrupted by Shizuku.
"Hajime your appearance!" Stated Shizuku in shock which caused him to look back at her with a confused face.
"My appearance?" Asked Hajime which caused her to point at his arm.
As he followed her gaze he saw that his entire robotic arm was exposed, also his white hair and pale skin were exposed and he had his eye patch on. At that moment he let go of the priest and muttered.
"The hell is this world?" Asked Hajime mostly to himself.
"Hajime!" Screamed Shizuku as she came out of her shock, and realized an important detail.
"Yes, Shizuku?" Asked Hajime in concern by that scream.
"What did you ask that priest to send us back home if you have the crystal key?" Asked Shizuku fearing the worst.
"I can't access it." Said Hajime pissed off.
At that moment Shizuku simply remained quiet in shock but her thoughts were interrupted by someone.
"Um, Are you guy's okay?" Asked the same black-haired teen while the other three were looking at them with confused faces as well, even though a blonde-haired prick was staring at Shizuku a bit too much.
"Yes, just surprised." Answered Shizuku for both of them.
"Wait Shizuku is that your old sword?" Asked Hajime when he noticed the sword strapped to her hip.
Just like Hajime, she was confused at why her old sword that got destroyed in Orcus was now there.
They all remained silent until the priest spoke again.
"As I was trying to say. Please oh, brave heroes our world is in dire need of saving." Stated the priest.
As they heard him the other four were confused, while both Hajime and Shizuku didn't believe the priest, especially how he looked at the black-haired teen.
"Is this for real?" Asked the black-haired teen skeptically.
"Why do you mean that is in need of saving?" Asked a light brown-haired teen after checking the string of his bow.
"The story behind it all is long and complicated but to say that you are the Four Cardinal Heroes and you were summoned here using an ancient ritual, but as it would seem we accidentally also summoned two more heroes as well." Said the priest while gesturing at Hajime and Shizuku.
"Cardinal huh, so he thinks that the four of us are what? Heroes of Legend?" Thought the black-haired teen.
"Damn you Kouki this is your job, not mine!" Thought Hajime in anger.
"Our world is in the most fragile state and teeters on the brink of destruction. So we beg y-" As the priest was going to speak he was once again interrupted by Hajime.
"I don't care about your circumstances just send me and my wife back." Stated Hajime again coldly, and caused the black-haired teen to look at him in shock.
"He's right!" Said a blond-haired young man with a ponytail holding a spear.
"I also refuse." Agreed the light brown-haired teen.
"You can send us back to our home world, right? Do that and maybe we'll talk." Again said the blond-haired young man.
At that moment the other black-haired teen with blue eyes raised his sword towards the priest and said this.
"You brought the six of us here without our consent, don't you even feel the least bit guilty about it."
"Not to mention if you throw us out as soon as we restore peace. Then it would mean that we'd had done all that work for nothing." Stated the light brown-haired teen.
"How willing are you to accommodate our requests? Depending on your answer we may become your enemies instead of your allies." Stated the blond-haired young man.
"What's with these guys? Except for that guy and his wife that simply want to return home, the other three they're not only taking this in stride, their already demanding respect and rewards." Thought the black-haired teen.
While he was thinking that both Hajime and Shizuku thought the same thing when they heard the other three's demands.
"These jackasses/fools think this is fake."
"Good sirs and miss before I say anymore, we'd like you to have an audience with the king of Melromarc. You can negotiate your rewards with him directly so please." Stated the priest.
"Alright fine." Said the teen with blue eyes as he lowered his sword and started walking.
"I suppose we'll consider their offer." Said the light brown-haired teen as he started following the blue-eyed teen.
"Sure doesn't matter who we talk to our demands won't change." Said the blond-haired teen as he followed them.
"Yes, could these guys be any smugger?" Chastised the black-haired teen.
"And idiotic." Said Hajime.
At that moment the black-haired teen jumped when he realized that both Hajime and Shizuku were there with him as well.
"Man you scared the hell out of me." Said the black-haired teen.
"Sorry about that also are you okay?" Asked Shizuku.
"Oh yeah I'm fine I'm just a bit overwhelmed about all this." Said the teen.
"Understandable given your first time being summoned to another world." Said Hajime knowingly.
"What do you mean b-" As he was going to ask he was interrupted by the blonde-haired young man's voice.
"Hey you guy's coming or what!?" He yelled.
"Will continue later on okay." Stated Hajime as he started walking away with Shizuku right beside him.
The teen simply sighed and started following them up the stairs.
As they were walking up the stairs they saw a window which showed a view of the town.
"Woah look this is really another world huh?" Said the light brown-haired teen.
"Sure is." Said the blond-haired young man.
"Even the air feels different, it's like how you'd expect to see it described in a travel brochure." Said the teen with a smile on his face as he looked back at his companions.
"Does that mean that you've never traveled outside of Japan before?" Said the light brown-haired teen.
"Judging by the breeze, I'd say this place has a fairly standard Mediterranean climate." Said the blue-eyed teen.
Seeing that he was embarrassed Hajime decided to help him out.
"Still he's right, the air feels a lot purer here than in Japan." Stated Hajime which made the teen smile a bit while Shizuku chuckled at her husband's consideration.
"Yeah, I guess your right." Stated blond-haired scumbag while looking at Shizuku a bit too much which didn't go unnoticed by Hajime.
As they exited from what they could tell was a basement of sorts, they entered the courtyard, Hajime and Shizuku noticed a red-haired woman looking at them from one of the buildings. Which made them feel that this woman was planning something which caused them to give her a serious look, but the woman didn't notice them as she left the window.
After that, they walked for a bit until they entered the throne room, where an old man dressed in a purple cape, black, gold, and white garments with a golden crown with a big purple jewel in the middle of it sitting on it with an empty chair beside him greeted them.
"So you four young men are the Cardinal Heroes of ancient legend, and you young man and young woman are new Heroes of this World. This is the land of Melromarc, and I am her King Aultcray Melromarc the XXXII welcome brave heroes and heroine. Please identify yourselves."
At that, the first one to introduce themselves was the blue-eyed teen.
"Ren Amaki, I'm a Highschool student and I'm sixteen years old." Said Ren.
Next was the blond-haired young man.
"I'm Motoyasu Kitamura, College student twenty-one." Said Motoyasu.
Next was the light brown-haired young man.
"I suppose I'm up next. Itsuki Kawasumi still in Highschool and I'm seventeen." Said Itsuki.
After him came Hajime.
"Hajime Nagumo, College student, nineteen, and I'm Shizuku's husband." Stated Hajime in a serious tone.
At that, they all looked at him when he said that he was married to someone.
"Shizuku Yaegashi, College student, nineteen, and I'm Hajime's wife." Stated Shizuku with a blush as she said that she was Hajime's wife.
At this Aultcray had a happy expression as he then spoke.
"Oh, you two are married, congratulations then."
"Thank you." They both stated.
"Damn it" Muttered Motoyasu after he heard that they were married, which both Hajime and Shizuku heard.
At that, the teen with dark hair decided to introduce himself.
"Guess that leaves me. My name is N-" As he was trying to introduce himself he was caught off, by the King himself.
"Good, Ren, Motoyasu, Itsuki, Hajime, and Shizuku." Said Aultcray, which caused Naofumi to be confused by him not even addressing him, which also confused both Hajime and Shizuku.
"Yo King, aren't you forgetting someone?" Said the teen while pointing at himself, which made Aultcray look at him with a bit of coldness in his eyes that didn't go unnoticed by anyone.
"Oh yes forgive me." Said Aultcray with a fake apologetic tone in his voice, which was noticed by both Hajime, and Shizuku.
"Hey you can't say "Yo King", you have to address him with a little respect!" Said Itsuki towards Naofumi, while the others simply remained quiet.
"So what then? His majesty?" Asked the teen, while the nobles presented there simply had a distressed look, which was noticed by both Hajime and Shizuku. At this, they both thought at the same time.
"Something's wrong here."
As they both thought, that something was going to happen the other four continued with their conversation.
"That might be too formal." Said Ren, which caused Aultcray to cough to gain their attention.
"King is fine." He said, and at that, the black-haired teen stepped forward.
"All right whatever you prefer. I'm Naoufumi Iwatani, a College student, twenty years old." Said Naofumi with a small smile.
At this Aultcray remained quiet as he closed his eyes, as he then opened them and spoke.
"Now then, I suppose I need to explain. Why we brought you all here." Said Aultcray.
"Is he ignoring me?" Asked Naofumi in a confused manner.
"I think so too." Said Hajime towards Naofumi, while Shizuku simply remained quiet as she heard Aultcray's explanation.
"My beloved country of Melromarc and the entire world surrounding is heading down a path of certain ruin."
After that, he started to explain about the ancient prophesy about a calamity called The Waves, which turned out to be true, since not too long ago a Wave appeared in the country, and even though they fend it off they received heavy casualties. They then soon learned that the Waves will only continue in growing in strength and power, so they decided to summon all Four Cardinal's Heroes with the inclusion of Hajime and Shizuku.
Also, all of the countries including Melromarc have an item called the Dragon Hour Glass, which indicates how much time is left for the Wave to come. And speaking of the next Wave, it appears that it'll commence in less than a month.
"We underestimated, the potency of the waves. Once we experienced, the first one and barely survived. We realized that only the Four Cardinal Heroes, could counter them." He said in frustration as he looked at them.
"So we followed the legend and summoned you four and even though we summoned both Hajime and Shizuku by accident we still are grateful that you all are here. But now we have no time to lose." Said Aultcray in a serious tone.
However at that moment Hajime. Shizuku, and Naofumi all thought.
"Isn't this the same story as in the book?"
As they all thought about that detail, Ren hit the ground with his sword.
"Okay, I guess we get the gist of it. Anyway, I'm sure you didn't bring us all here, thinking that we've saved you all for free." Said Ren which caused both Hajime and Shizuku to glare at him.
"Of course not. Once you repel all the Waves, we assure you all that we will reward you handsomely." Said a noble, with a grin.
"Yeah, well it seems that we have no choice, but to take you at your word." Said Motoyasu with a smirk.
"Long as you don't betray us, we'll work with you. But don't think for a moment, that you can tame us." Said Ren with a serious look.
"Exactly, we won't put with you guy's looking down on us." Said Itsuki with a smile.
At this Naofumi could only think tiredly.
"God, these guys are full of themselves."
After he heard them Aultcray was going to speak once again, but he was beaten to it by Hajime.
"Well, we don't care." He said which caused all of them to give him a surprised look.
"H-Hajime what do you mean by that?" Asked Aultcray as he stumbled in his words at first.
"Simple, we don't care about your world's circumstances, just send us back." Said Hajime coldly.
At this, the other three simply looked at Hajime like he was insane, while Naofumi simply gave him an intrigued look.
"But why is that?!" Asked Aultcray in confusion while raising his voice, after hearing him Shizuku answered him with a serious look.
"Because we have loved one's in our world that is waiting for us."
After he heard her Aultcray simply let out a breath and with a melancholic tone he told them.
"I am afraid to inform you, that we cannot send you all back until the Waves are defeated." He said which caused both Shizuku and Hajime to glare at him.
"And why is that?" Asked Hajime.
"Because, until the Waves can be defeated any return back is prohibited. And believe many of past heroes have tried but they all failed." Informed Aultcray.
At that moment Hajime was going to retort him, but Motoyasu spoke out.
"Hey, dude, can't you see that we too more about our powers, so why won't you just stop asking these questions, and let the King talk." Said Motoyasu in a nonchalant tone while the other two nodded their heads.
At this Hajime was going to tell him to fuck off, but Shizuku grab a hold of his robotic arm and gave him a look that told him to wait for now.
Because of the look she was giving him, he calmed down and simply nodded his head. Which caused her to give him a beautiful smile much to Motoyasu's jealously.
"Ahem Now back to what I was saying. now that we've all agreed to an arrangement. I would like to ask all of you to check your status." Said Aultcray which confused Naofumi.
"Wait what's a status?" Asked Naofumi, which was followed by Itsuki.
"Yeah?"
"Are you guys dense? It should be the very first thing you see when you got here." Said Motoyasu arrogantly.
At this Naofumi, and Hajime simply glared at him, until Ren spoke up.
"It's in the bottom left corner, of your view." Informed in which they all did what he said. "And when you see it, concentrate on it." He told them, and when they did it they were all surprised by what they saw.
"It's like a status plate." Thought both Hajime and Shizuku as they saw, that while they still retained all of their skills, and magics before coming here. They couldn't truly have all of their weapon's in the case of Hajime and Shizuku's case the sword that Hajime gifted to her. That and it says that they're also in level one, yet they have a lot of HP, MP, SP, and they had all of their skills, which made them grateful for that detail.
"Level one, that's a bit discouraging." Said Itsuki as he saw his level.
"Yeah, hey King why won't give us the cool stuff?" Asked Motoyasu while twirling his spear like a fool.
"It is said that weapons will evolve as you all grow stronger. So you all must go on an adventure to train, and to evolve your respective weapons." Informed Aultcray which made the other three have discouraged looks.
"So we have to train then." Said Itsuki with an excited smile.
"I guess so if it means we can become stronger." Said Ren with a calm look.
"Yeah, we can all team up and grow stronger together." Said Naofumi but the same noble as before spoke up again.
"About that sir heroes, you cannot be near each other when you all go on your respective journeys. Due to weapon's nature in repelling each other." After he said that all four of them gained a notification which confirmed his words.
"However for the extra Heroes, that is not an issue." Said the same noble as they looked in both Hajime and Shizuku's direction, as they scowled at being called extras.
"Ah yes about that Hajime, Shizuku could you tell us what your abilities are?" Asked Aultcray.
As he heard him Hajime looked at Shizuku to get her opinion, to which she nodded at him. Indicating to him that it was all right to inform them of their powers since they need to work with them to return home.
"Mine is Synergist." Informed Hajime while crossing his arms together.
"And mine is Swordsmanship." Informed Shizuku with a serious gaze.
"Synergist and Swordsmanship hmm what interesting Heroes we know have among us. But no matter, since the more help that we have the better. But for now, I request that you all eat, and take some rest since the sun is falling. Tomorrow we'll sort out who shall be with you as you party." Informed Aultcray, as a maid came up to them all.
"I will guide you all to the dining hall." She said with a smile which caused the four idiots to nod their heads in affirmation.
While Naofumi simply stayed behind trying to process all of this until he felt a hand on his shoulder. When he looked back he saw that it was Hajime and Shizuku who were giving him small smiles.
"Come on let's go eat, and later I'll explain something to you." Said Hajime as he and Shizuku knew what Naofumi was feeling. And in comparison to the other three, he seemed like someone they can get along with.
"O-Okay.." Said Naofumi confused as he then followed both Hajime and Shizuku to the dining hall.
However what they didn't know at that time, was that this will be the starting point for the one who shall be known as the Synergist Hero, and Demon King, and for the one known as the Shield Hero, and Holy Saint.
"Man that tasted good!" Exclaimed Motoyasu as he fell onto his bed, with a satisfied expression.
" I do admit that the food here was good, even if we're now in the pre-industrial age." Said Itsuki as he sat down on his respective while Ren nodded at what he said.
This was all seen by Hajime, Shizuku, and Naofumi who remained quiet as they sat in their respective beds. As they were all thinking about everything they've seen thus far. Hajime and Shizuku were thinking about their family and that depending on how time works in this world they might come to get them sooner or later, they'll have to wait.
While Naofumi was thinking about how all of this was still shocking since he never imagined being summoned to another world like in the Light Novels that he had read before. He was starting to feel overwhelmed by all of this, especially when he started to think about his family. He also feared the fact that he might never see them again, however before he could continue that thought he heard Shizuku's voice.
"Naofumi don't be afraid." She said in a soothing tone.
He then looked at her in surprise at how calm she was in this situation, as he looked at Hajime and saw that he was giving him a smirk.
"Wait!" He remembered at that moment what they told him before eating and seeing the looks they were giving him it was like they'd experienced this before. Which confused him even more, but before he could continue with that thought he heard Motoyasu's voice.
"Hey, guys why are you all quiet? He asked while the other looked at them with raised eyebrows.
"Nothing we're just thinking about all of this." Answered Hajime since he knew what his wife was thinking as he also knew what Naofumi was thinking by the look on his face.
"What there's to think? Like, come on we're in a fantasy world! Let's enjoy our time here." Said Motoyasu as he waved his hand lazily.
This caused all three of them to frown at his disregard for the situation their in, as they then heard Ren speak as well.
"He's true you know, even though it may seem unbelievable but we should enjoy our time here."
"Yeah, I agree with the two of you especially since we're the Heroes that this world needs, we need to stain calm and collected since we need to save them." Said Itsuki with a smile as the other two nodded at him.
As Hajime, Shizuku, and Naofumi heard what they said all three of them had one thought in their minds.
"They're all dumbassess/fools."
They all said in their hearts while hiding the grimace that was going to be shown on their faces for somewhat different reasons.
For Naofumi it was the fact that they all acted like they don't care at all about the people they left behind. This made him realize that these guys were truly idiots since anyone in their right mind would think about those whom they care about, especially knowing that they were in a different world than their own.
While Hajime and Shizuku thought that they were idiots because of how relaxed they were in this situation, that they would have never expected before coming here. This makes even Kouki's reasoning to help Tortus back when they were summoned seem reasonable due to his past sense of justice. But these guys didn't have an albeit flawed sense of justice, no these guys don't even care at all about this world. And even though neither did them but it was because they cared about their family more than anything else, these guys only care about the fame they can get by being heroes.
This made all three of them think that this world was doomed with these guys as the heroes. Since these guys can't be heroes by the way they act at all, hell they can become comedians than heroes.
"Well, it isn't our problem." Thought Hajime, as he saw that Shizuku was giving him a strained smile since she also thought the same. At that moment they sensed multiple people outside their door, which caused them to look at each other for a moment and made them realize that the King wanted information on them for some reason. But then they heard Ren talking.
"Honestly it's still surprising how this world is similar to Brave Star Online."
As he finished talking it caused the grand majority of them including Hajime and Shizuku to raise an eyebrow as Motoyasu spoke in a confused tone.
"Dude I don't know what game you're talking about. Since this world is definitely the same as Emerald Online, so I don't know what you mean by that game, since I've never heard of it."
At that moment it caused Hajime and Shizuku to be confused since they haven't heard of either of those games either. Then they heard Itsuki as he raised his voice.
"No! Your both wrong! This is an exact copy of Dimension Wave!"
As they heard them Hajime and Shizuku were further confused, as they thought about what they just heard from the three of them, which confused them even more since they noticed that they weren't lying by the expressions they were having. And it was weird since Hajime knows about these types of games, and yet he's never heard about any of them before.
"What! How can you both not know about Brave Star Online it's the number one game of the year!" Shouted Ren as both Motoyasu, and Itsuki both had confused looks.
"The hell you saying, man! The number one game of the year is Emerald Online!" Shouted Motoyasu as Itsuki glared at them both.
"I don't what you guys are thinking but the game of the year is Dimension Wave!" Also shouted Itsuki as all three of them started arguing.
This was all seen by Naofumi who was confused since he's never heard about those games before but seeing how they were acting made him realize that they aren't lying, which confused him even more. While Hajime and Shizuku were still thinking about what this all meant, however, as they thought about a crucial detail in their summoning.
"We were all at different places."
Except for them, the other three were in different places when they were all summoned, however, they were all Japanese which meant that they all came from the same country. But then why do they all have different information, at that moment they all realized something which caused them to be wide-eyed.
"It couldn't be..." Muttered Naofumi as Hajime and Shizuku remained silent in surprise, which gained the other three's attention.
"Hey what's wrong?" Asked Itsuki as the two were confused.
After hearing him Naofumi asked them a question that confused them, while both Hajime and Shizuku gave him a look of approval.
"Hey who's the Prime Minister of Japan?"
This earned a raised eyebrow from the three of them as Motoyasu spoke out.
"What does that have to do with our discussion?"
"Just answer the question, there's something I have to confirm." Said Naofumi in a serious tone, which confused them even more but they shrugged since they thought that he might have been living under a dense rock but they answered him.
"Daichi Satou." Said Motoyasu.
"Hikaru Yamamoto." Said Ren.
"Jun Nakamura." Said Itsuki.
As they all heard their respective answers all three of them looked at each other with wide eyes, as Hajime spoke out.
"Well, it seems that our theory might be true."
This caused the three young men to look at him with questioning gazes as Shizuku spoke out.
"We thought that we all may come from different versions of Earth by the information you three gave us in regards to the games you all played. But thanks to Noafumi's question it has been confirmed."
As the four of them heard her it gained two reactions, for Naofumi it was embarrassment by the praise, while the other three were there staring at her in shock as Itsuki spoke.
"T-This is..."
He sat down with a shocked look as the other two didn't know what to say, Naofumi also remained quiet as he thought about the multiple possible versions of their world out there.
At seeing this display Shizuku let out a breath as she looked at her husband for a moment and with her eyes, she asked him to help them out. In which he simply shook his head for a moment at the thought of her motherly attitude, as he then gained their attention.
"Look I know that you all are having a million thoughts coursing through your heads, but remember you all need to remain calm, or else you all won't think things through correctly." He advised them which from what he could tell worked since they all calmed down.
"Yeah your right Hajime, but still man knowing that we all came from different worlds is surreal." Said Motoyasu as the other two nodded while Naofumi spoke.
"Well about that me, Hajime-san, and Shizuku-san came from the same world." He informed them which made the other three have wide eyes as Shizuku spoke out.
"He's correct while both my husband and I were looking for a book for a family member of ours, we stumbled upon Naofumi-san who had some books fall on him. As we went to help him we found a book that caused us to be summoned here."
At this, the others were surprised as Ren spoke in a confused tone as he rubbed his side.
"Now that is interesting."
This act confused Hajime, Shizuku, and Naofumi while Motoyasu said indignantly.
"Interesting! Dude, I was killed before coming here!"
This caused all of them to look at him with wide eyes as Itsuki spoke.
"Wait you were also killed?"
This caused all of them to now look at him as Shizuku asked him in confusion.
"You died?"
"Well yes, I did die before coming here. You see as I was coming home from school a truck hit me." Said Itsuki as he recalled the traumatic moment of his death.
This caused all of them to remain quiet as they didn't know what to say, well everyone except for Motoyasu that is.
"Woah dude you too!"
Even though he sounded surprised both Hajime and Shizuku knew that he was lying, by the way, his hands shook even though it was sutled they still saw it.
"But this now begs the question, why didn't Naofumi, Hajime-san, and Shizuku-san we're summoned here without dying?" Asked Ren as held his chin.
"I'm also curious about that, but I'm curious about something else." Said Itsuki as he looked at Hajime, or more specifically his right left arm, as the others except for Shizuku did the same.
"What?" Asked Hajime in confusion by their gazes as Shizuku's face palmed by her husband's lack of not reading the room.
"Um, Hajime-san if you don't mind me asking but why aren't you questioning your appearance?" Asked Naofumi for all of those who also thought the same.
"Oh about that, we'll you see this is my normal appearance." He answered him like it was obvious much to his wife's ever-growing frustration.
This left everyone shocked as Motoyasu said in a shaky tone.
"Dude I know that we're in a fantasy world but you don't need to lie like that."
"Well, Motoyasu I know that what I said may seem impossible, however it is the truth since it'll be a cold day in hell when I lie." Explained Hajime with an amused smirk.
"But how is that possible?!" Asked Itsuki as Ren remained quiet waiting for Hajime's answer.
However, Hajime didn't answer him as he looked at Naofumi with an amused smile, which confused the young man for a moment as Hajime spoke.
"Hey, Naofumi have you ever heard about The Returness?"
This caused Naofumi to have wide eyes as he looked at Hajime and Shizuku. As the others were confused by his sudden reaction as Ren asked him.
"Naofumi what's wrong?"
At this Naofumi gulped as he answered Ren's question.
"In my world over three years ago, there was a huge case where an entire classroom and their teacher suddenly vanished from their school. No one managed to find them during their time of disappearance, many people were starting to lose hope of finding them. Until one day, a year after their disappearance they suddenly reappeared, it was shown in every news outlet around the world, as the media dubbed them "The Returness", and every time they asked them where they were they always answered that they were in another world." Finished explaining Naofumi as the other three had wide by this sudden revelation, as Itsuki then said with a shaky tone in his voice.
"So that means that you two..."
"Yes Itsuki-san, this isn't our first time being in another world." Finished Shizuku for him as she had a knowing smile.
This caused all of them to remain quiet in shock at her confirmation which caused them to have a thousand thoughts in their heads. However, Hajime spoke up interrupting their thoughts.
"Look I know that you all have questions but we need to get some rest since tomorrow is going to be a long day. And I would prefer not being late, to what the King wants to say to us."
This calmed them down a bit as they realized that he was right since tomorrow the King was going to announce something to them. Hajime nodded at them as he gently held Shizuku's hand which caused her to blush a bit, much to Motoyasu's annoyance.
"Well with that said goodnight everyone." Said Shizuku as both she and Hajime went to sleep.
This caused the others to let out a breath at the couple's action as Naofumi spoke while yawing.
"Goodnight then guys." He said lazily as the others did the same as they all slept in their respective beds.
While the other four heroes were falling asleep Hajime had deployed some Grim Reaper's specifically some Arachnids. To investigate the entire castle, as had one singular thought, as he drifted to sleep.
"Let's see what this world has in store for us."
Hey, there guys, this is my new story with Arifureta, and Shield Hero mixed with it. I enjoy both stories so I wanted to make both Hajime and Naofumi meet since they can be friends due to their personalities. So I do hope that you all enjoy this new book that I made.
