Tributes from District Five had been slaughtered by victors too many times for Celsi Pithorn's liking. From Becca Langford, the very first tribute to die in the games, to good old Sam Lander who had made it all the way to the finale of the 9th Hunger Games before being killed rather quickly by Phyllip Tupelo. Celsi had had enough, and so when he was reaped, he vowed to take revenge for those that he saw die.

His games took place in a grassy field which was infested with mosquitos. These mutated insects would give incredibly painful and lethal diseases to those unlucky enough to suffer their bites. However, 24 Capitol-manufactured vaccines were also visible at the centre of the cornucopia, one for each tribute, which offered instant and vital relief.

Celsi realised that if these unusual items were so readily available, they would probably be very important and so chose to sprint directly for them, managing to avoid most of the chaos and hoard ten vaccines for himself, as well as a sickle and a backpack before slashing the throat of the girl from 3 and running away to a river at the edge of the arena.

Most of the remaining vaccines were guarded by the Career pack with ease, as other tributes were too focused on grabbing weapons and supplies, and killing each other, to realise the importance of this medicine.

The mosquitos rapidly began taking lives, including those of an outlying alliance that looked especially promising up to the point that they were literally vomiting their guts out, as well as the poor boy from District 4 who was denied a vaccine by the rest of his group in order to "conserve resources." The Careers left him to die without a word being spoken, continuing their hunt for other tributes as if nothing had happened.

Meanwhile, the boy from District 7 named Branch had managed to make his way to the river where it was safe from the insects. He noticed Celsi from afar, as well as his collection of vaccines, and decided to ask to trade some of his food for a vaccine. Surprisingly, the boy from 5 accepted, placing a vaccine in the water for him to collect before leaving the area. However, as soon as Branch had stepped into the river to collect it, he was devoured by a huge swarm of piranhas. Celsi laughed at the scene, his first act of revenge having succeeded perfectly.

By Night 2, all tributes who did not get a vaccine at the Cornucopia had died, leaving only Celsi, the remaining Careers, and the girl from District 6 left to fight. As the group of five embarked on their hunt for the District 6 girl, Celsi snuck into their camp and stole their supplies, throwing them onto a wooden raft that he had constructed and, being careful not to let his body touch the water, pushed it out into the middle of the river.

When the Careers returned, bloody and missing two members after the gory battle, they were so frustrated at their missing supplies that they charged down the path that Celsi had intentionally left all the way down to the riverbank. At this point, it was clear to the most observant Capitol viewers that the boy from 5 had won, and some were even lucky enough to place an in-play bet on his victory in the few seconds it took for the Careers to sprint to the riverbank and for them to slip on the mud and slide into the river where piranhas were waiting.

The celebrations of Celsi's victory lasted for almost 9 months in his home district. During one of the many parties thrown for him, he tried the drug for the first time that would ruin his life: Morphling. District 5's first victor practically lived off the addictive substance until he died of an overdose, coincidentally during the bloodbath of the first Quarter Quell.

Victor 12: Celsi Pithorn, age 15,from District 5. One kill, and four other deaths caused.
