Summary:
Saita Mitsuya keeps taking Ls. Coga Cota is there to give him Ws.
It was the same old story. The girl Saita Mitsuya liked hurried the heck outta there when he broke his crush on her to her.
Just like when he tried making friends over a mutual interest in Bottleman, he was unwanted.
And just like when he flubbed it making friends, Coga Cota was there to extend him his hand.
"You're an interesting guy, aren't ya?" Cota's cheer pops, and Mitsuya's heart is saved from being washed away with the tide.
For the third time in his life, this lonesome boy – this for some reason unlikable, allowance-challenged Bottle Battler with a repellent personality (it was other people's problem!) – owed his salvation to Coga Cota.
The first instance was when he tried to make friends.
The second was when he boosted Arrowcider to Tri-Arrow Mode and accidentally illegally swapped parts mid-Bottle Battle.
Cota was there to admit defeat as well. When everyone was muttering hatefully about Mitsuya's honest, spur-of-the-moment mistake, Cota was the bigger man, and gave Mitsuya the W with a sporting grin.
Whuh-ha-ha-ha! And now, once again.
The girl he was attracted to was fresh off the beach after he told her he liked her. Cota sprays him in his sullen face with the water gun in his hands, the water tank's cap shaped like a big red bottle cap, with Colamaru attached to the nozzle!
Cota could make the swimsuit edition!
"I don't know anything about having a boyfriend, but let's be boyfriends together, Mitsuya!"
They shake on it, as was established practice.
