Katniss Everdeen stands in front of him, her red mockingjays garb replaced with a black version of it, her eyeliner pointed like a cats; so fitting that she wears it like his now deceased cousin Tigris. She draws her bow and he thinks of the flock of mockingjays who ruffled their wings after he had unloaded a barrel of bullets upon it in a manic state. She aims her arrow at him and he closes his eyes thinking of the orange scarf on the ground and the day that he became the villain and how today would be his last.
He hears a hum of air above him followed by a guttural cry, he opens his eyes, he sees Katniss, the bow she carries no longer holds the arrow which she shot at him and she is left unharmed. He looks up at the screen above him and notices that Alma Coin clutches the podium in front of her before slowly falling to the ground breathless. A smirk forms along his face and he begins to chuckle watching as Katniss lower her bow and the crowd splits around her as they run to him clouding his vision. He thinks of the snakes that followed "her" in to the arena, how they danced around her in a rainbow of colors akin to her dress, the same way the people in front of him fade to nothing more then blurs as they surround him, landing punches upon him like the poison which leeched from their veins. He laughs harder as each hit makes contact, a broken nose here; a few broken ribs there. Ahh she would tell him how good the world could be; how humans weren't bad and yet as he lay there being beaten to death he thought of how evil, corrupted, and selfish they were just like himself.
Before he loses consciousness he hears her song in his mind.
"Roses are red, violets are blue, birds in the heavens know I love you…"
He blinks, he sees Lucy and the Covey on stage, below are him and his advisors at their table, Lucy offers her hand to him, he reaches for it, his suit melding into an old peacekeepers garb along the arm as he does so, and then he looks back at his advisors and how their faces melt, he thinks of who he was before and drops his hand to his side, Lucy Gray Baird and the stage which she's on disappears.
The scene around him continues to melt as he sinks through a void until he reaches the bottom of a lakebed where an orange scarf is weighed down by several guns, he reaches for it but the water around him has begun to freeze paralyzing him, Sejanus' dog tag sinks into the water in front of him, swirling with hundreds of photos of children lost to the games, a picture of Primrose Everdeen catches his attention before he looks up and sees Lucy swimming up from the water leaving him to rot in his own personal hell for all of eternity.
