We have arrived with the first based level from Spyro 2 appearing on the countdown. I found Spyro 2 to be my overall favorite of the three based games from the trilogy. I enjoyed the new gameplay elements from the game such as the underwater, headbash and climb elements with so many times playing through where so many unique styles involving the new gameplay elements taking in place in Spyro 2, were enjoyable and fresh to do and always enjoyable to perform, no matter how many times you would go through for a level in Spyro 2. What made Spyro 1 great, had Spyro 2 mastered on more on the gameplay and made Spyro 3, even more unique and mastered well in gameplay to the other two games.

If there is however one thing that I disliked from Spyro 2 that I wound up getting disappointed with is, the poor based bonus ending world of Dragon Shores. Once you are done collecting all of the gems and orbs from Spyro 2, you earn the award in Dragon Shores to take in part of bland and simple carnival based games. My mouth dropped in disappointment and sadness.

Unlike the unique flight based bonus world to collect the big and cool yellow and purple based gems in Gnasty's Loot from Spyro 1 and finishing in part with a big finale battle with the Sorceress from Spyro 3 in the Super Bonus World, the player is given seen as a "big" award for working hard well in the game for completing 100% in for Spyro 2 with an infinite super flame. I don't know about anyone else but, I find that to be a VERY lame bonus gift for doing big and hard work collecting every gem and orb from Spyro 2. You have finished collecting everything in a level with nothing much else to do for so what purpose are you going to do with the super flame?

Overall, Spyro 2 was a fantastic and beautiful game through and through but, I am and still disappointed in my heart that the player is awarded with lame extras that mean nothing special of anything to the player. No super boss bottle with Ripto? For big Spyro fans like myself and among others, this leaves a sour note in my heart to the greatness that is of Spyro 2 with the terrible extras of the Dragon Shores based carnival games that are boring then over half of the mini-based orb games in other levels of Spyro 2 and given a near worthless extra based super fire infinite power-up to the player. Ugh.

If it wasn't for the fact that Spyro 2 was my favorite game of the PS1/PSX Trilogy, I would likely have Dragon Shores ranked even lower on the list but, thanks to in part of how disappointing the extra based world in which Dragon Shores is, causes me to rank it in part of the bottom 10 levels from the PS1 Spyro games on the countdown.
