Chapter 5: Final Egg
After their short vacation in Apotos, Amy, Sonic, Cream, and Tails were in his workshop in Mystic Ruins. They found out that the Onyx Compass needs someone with magical energy to control it and allow them to pinpoint the location of the piece of the Rift Spector. Amy is the only one with magic as she takes the small device and places it in her hands.
"How are you feeling Amy?" Cream asked.
"I am calm and centered. I can feel the magic flowing through me," Amy's hands glow with magical energy for the compass to come to life showing them the location. "Wait a minute, Sonic the location of the piece is on South Island," Amy said as Sonic can't believe this.
"You can't be serious. The piece of this staff is on my home island," Sonic said as he has not gone there since he left after destroying the Scrap Brain base.
"Sonic, are you okay?" Amy asked to be worried about him for he has nightmares of his home Knothole Village being destroyed by Eggman and his nephew.
"Yeah, I am fine. Just thinking about things like my home and my mother," Sonic said as Amy remembers Sonic telling her about his mother Bernadette Hedgehog.
"Oh, poor baby. I know you miss her," Amy goes to hug her boyfriend.
"Well, we need to head for South Island and secure that device," Tails said.
"I will call Knuckles to meet us back at Station Square Airport," Cream said as Sonic gathers his nerves to head for the gathering place.
Elsewhere Witchcraft is holding a Chaos Emerald she managed to find for she has a plan. "Zeena place this emerald into that old base. I can sense them heading for the second piece of the Rift Spector on South Island," Witchcraft said.
"Oh, we are setting up a trap?" Zeena asked to be happy about this.
"Yes, my dear. I noticed my Onyx Compass is detecting a piece on South Island. We bait them with the Chaos Emerald and get two birds with one. Place it inside Scrap Brain, there will be a surprise waiting for them there," Witchcraft said.
'Yes Mistress," Zeena takes the Chaos Emerald and teleports away.
"The blue rat wants to face his arch nemesis for the last time. I will give him what he wants," Witchcraft said with a devilish smile.
Back with Team Sonic, they are waiting at the private hanger with Knuckles showing up. "What's up guys," Knuckles said as the big guy comes up for everyone and greets him.
"Yo Knuckles. How is Shade doing lately?" Sonic said lightly to make him blush.
"She is doing fine, she is doing well in Tiara's Treasure Team. She is getting along with them," Knuckles aid.
"How about you are living with Shade on Angel island?" Amy joins in the teasing as Knuckles glows in the face.
"Well, we have our little house by the Master Emerald Shrine. She beings life on that lifeless rock," Knuckles said showing a deep fondness for Shade. After the events of the Nocturnus Clan crisis, Shade rebelled against her group and joined up with Sonic and the crew.
Soon enough Knuckles and Shade befriend each other and soon became a couple watching over Angel Island together. "You feel comfortable coming with us?" Cream asked.
'Yeah. The tech Shade used to cloak Angel Island puts my mind at ease and allows us to come down to join you guys in some adventures," Knuckles said.
"Cool that Echidna tech is no joke. Pretty advanced even by today's standards," Tails said as he is amazed despite the Echidna civilization being wiped out 4000 years ago, what remains of their technology surpasses everything by a vast margin.
"It's so interesting," Amy said as she is deeply interested in Echidna's history.
"Let's get going, did you guys find out where Eggman went?" Knuckles asked.
"Not really, there is no activity at all which is so not like him," Tails said as they find Tails' shuttle which can hold up to 8 people in the holding area with two seats for the pilot and co-pilot to use. "Hold on tight guys. Next stop South Island," Tails said as they fly off into the sky for Sonic Team comes together to head for Sonic's original home.
"Back home where it all started. What will await me there," Sonic said as he looks outside the window for Amy to notice this.
"Baby," Amy turns to him to place her hand on his shoulder.
"It's cool, you guys are here with me now," Sonic said as he remembers being so alone when he went on his first quest to defeat Robotnik and his evil plans to turn his home into a base of operation to fight the human-led United Federation.
Amy goes to hug him tightly to kiss him on the lips. "Of course, we are. We are your friends. You don't have to do this alone anymore," Amy said.
"Yeah bud, we got your back," Knuckles comes over and pats him on the back which made Sonic flinch a bit from his raw strength.
"Yeah Mr. Sonic, we are in this together," Cream said.
"Come on Sonic. You can't always take the glory," Tails said as Sonic smiles at his friends and girlfriend around him.
"Thanks, guys. Well, let's see what we can find there," Sonic said as they fly towards Isles in Pearl Sea which was called the Caribbean Sea in the ancient past.
Soon enough they land by a set of ruins as Sonic and Amy get out of the hatch to be within a familiar place. "This forest is near Green Hills and this is where my old village is nearby," Sonic said as he feels comfortable for he uses to play in these woods when he was a kid.
"Oh; very interesting. I hope it doesn't bring bad memories," Amy said.
"Don't worry about it. Now let's go pay a visit to the ruins of Knothole," Sonic and Amy run swiftly to see the forest becoming quite dreadful and dead trees everywhere.
"We will hold the fort here for you two to check this place out," Tails said with Amy having a bad feeling about this. They enter the perimeter of the Knothole ruins to see old buildings being taken by nature. Moss and vines growing all over the place.
"Wow, seal in time. Seems like it would be a nice place to live," Amy said for she imagined in her mind that this village was a beautiful place to live.
"Yeah it was but egghead showed up and destroyed everything. He killed some and took the rest to make them into robot slaves," Sonic said as they begin to walk through the old village ruins to spot a building there. "Oh, that used to be the old school where all the orphan kids go to learn and study," Sonic said.
"I don't think you are a school kid," Amy said.
"Not really," Sonic said casually as Amy sighed.
"I knew it but I was homeschooled to prepare for taking over the family business. So, I have no right to judge," Amy said as they looks over to see a burned-out well which has been dry for years.
"We used to pull its water from an underground lake," Sonic said as Amy looks down the well to see no water down below.
"This checks out but no one would be using it anyway," Amy said as they see another building which is the supermarket.
"That place had so much food and serve some amazing chili dogs," Sonic said as he remembers Ms. Buckbeak buying his favorite foods there.
"Does this place have farms?" Amy asked.
"I guess, there were fields filled with corn and wheat before Eggman burned them down," he said as they finally find the building of the orphanage. "This is it," they enter the wrecked building to see all the memories flowing through his mind.
"So, this is where you once lived for most of your younger days," Amy is awed by this for her inner fangirl is flaring up.
"Yep, my mother's friend Buckbeak took me in and raise me here. It was very simple until it wasn't," he said as he headed for her room with everything still there for it seems like this place is frozen in time.
"How is the piece of the staff connected here?" Amy questioned.
Sonic checks her old room to see a weird coin placed on a desk with dust covering it. He takes it and blows on it to clean it up. "This is weird, this isn't a credit coin," Sonic noticed a weird set of engravings on the back.
Amy looks at an old photo to see a bunch of Mobian kids looking happy and filled with life. She sees her boyfriend Sonic as a 12-year-old kid for she finds him very adorable. "Hey baby, you look so cute here," Amy said as she goes over to show him the photo.
"Oh yeah, did I always look that pudgy?" Sonic wondered as Amy playfully pokes his lean stomach.
"Now you are very handsome now," Amy said.
"Damn straight but I found this thing in Buckbeak's room," Sonic shows her a coin that is nothing like the credit coins they are used to.
"Weird, it could be used to open something like a secret door," Amy said.
"Oh, that sounds like spy stuff," Sonic said as they look around to find something that can match this coin. Amy goes into Buckbeak's room to look under the bed to see a coin shape dent in the wall.
"Sonic, come over here," Amy uses her hammer to smash the bed to see a secret door there.
"Good work, seems like this is a key," Sonic inserts the coin into the dent as the secret door slides open to reveal a fleet of stairs.
"Interesting, let's go inside," Amy said as they go into the hidden room to see there is a box. Sonic opens it as they find something they didn't expect.
"The piece of the Rift Spector," Sonic said as the purple part is in their hands now.
"Why is it here?" Amy questioned as something else is here as well.
"This is a holo diary," Sonic said as he looks at the disc-shaped device to see his mother's name displayed on the back. "My mom's holo diary is here," Sonic said as Amy is very interested in what his mother had to say.
"Come on, let's go back upstairs and check this out," Amy said as they go into the main area to place it on the table. Sonic clicks the button as a large hologram appears with a young 21-year-old Bernadette Hedgehog sporting a simple purple dress fitting her shapely figure with her blond tuft of hair on her head matching her blond highlights at the tips of her purple quills. Her sky blue eyes were filled with warmth and understanding as she is sitting on a bed.
"Hello Son, I gave this to Buckbeak so she can give this to you when you are old enough. I wanted to say more but I don't have much time. I am going on a mission from the village elder to find out about a weird human who had landed here on South island without permission. I use my speed and gear to sneak into the base unnoticed," Bernadette said as Sonic can feel the sweetness and gentleness within her voice.
Sonic's heart is swelling with happiness to hear the beautiful sounds of his mother's voice which he barely remembered as a child.
"Gee, this is so hard but I don't know how this mission is going to go. I am operating in unknown waters. South Island has suffered terrible pain from fighting bandits groups and human pirates. I did my best to protect our home to make sure you are safe. Now I made this to make sure you remember that I deeply love you Sonic," Bernadette said to continue her message.
"You are gifted with my speed. I had it since when I was little. People used to make fun of me and think I was a freak. Now people see me as a hero with her speed being used to protect my home. I hope you use my gift to you to protect those you care about. The time is near for my mission, just always remember I will always be in your heart and watch over you. You can be a hero like your mama, I hope I see you soon," Bernadette said as she give a lasting smile for the hologram turned off.
Amy looks in awe as she looks over to see Sonic looking so somber with tears going down his face. "Sonic, are you okay?" she asked as Sonic tried to act cool and wiped away the tears from his eyes.
"No, I got something in my eyes," Sonic said but Amy sees through this to grab him tightly and hug him close.
"Sonic, it's okay. Stop trying to act cool and let it all out," Amy said as she felt him crying onto her shoulder.
"Mom, you didn't just leave me like that," Sonic wept with his girlfriend feeling hurt by his crying. She is not ashamed of him for showing weakness.
"Yes, she loves you very much," Amy soothed him to let him flow out his feelings.
Within 30 minutes, Sonic collects himself to put his mom's holo diary in his bag. "Thanks for the hug, I needed that," Sonic said as Amy kisses him on the cheek.
"No problem. I am not the only woman who loves you deeply," she said.
"Yeah, mom is something alright. It's nice to have something from her to remember by," he said.
"Indeed, it is a very sweet gesture and I wish I could have met her. it would be cool to know the mother of Sonic Hedgehog," Amy said.
"I would like to know too but we need to know about her last mission to find out what happened to her," Sonic said as Amy is curious about something.
"I wonder why she was holding this," Amy wondered with the piece of the Rift Spector.
"Who knows, I don't even understand where this thing even came from?" Sonic questioned.
"It is weird since it has no records of where it was created. It's just here in this world," Amy said.
"Another world or dimension?" Sonic asked.
"From all the adventures we've been to together I wouldn't be surprised at all," Amy said.
"Guys, we found something pretty interesting," Tails said on the comlink.
"What is it?" Sonic asked.
"There is a Chaos Emerald within the old Scrap Brain base," Tails said as Sonic and Amy are confused by this.
"That seems too easy to me," Amy was very cautious at this.
"Well even if it's a trap. With all five of us, we can handle this," Knuckles said.
"Yeah, come back here guys. We are heading for the base," Cream said as they get into the shuttle to head into the sky to fly over Green Hills.
"Gee, talk about nostalgia," Sonic said as he remembers being a kid speeding through those lust hills of green and brown to strike down Eggman's Badniks for the first time to come to a learning process for him to fight his robotic forces.
Within a short while, Tails lands his shuttle right next to the broken Scrap Brain base which has seen better days and has been taken over by the elements. The hatch opens for Team Sonic to exit to witness the rusting broken complex in front of them.
"This place has seen better days," Knuckles said.
"It's so eerie," Cream said as Cheese feels awful about this place forming a frown on his face.
Sonic looks at the towering buildings for they looked scary back then and now they are a hollow part of the past. "Let's go inside and search for the emerald," Sonic said as they go inside.
"Oh shit," these are the only words that came out of her lips as everyone is seeing something that will never leave their minds.
The group sees the scattered disfigured body of Eggman displayed on the wall like a trophy. "Oh shit. I don't believe this," Sonic kneels before the corpse as his body is in utter shock at this. "I took it upon myself to put an end to your crazy schemes and now I can't get the final straw," Sonic looking on in horror at this gruesome scene.
Sonic is in shellshock as a small hand is gripping his shoulder as Amy crouches beside him and gives him a comforting hug. "I know you wanted to beat him once and for all but he's gone now. That's all that matters right?" she asked in a comforting voice.
Amy snaps Sonic out of his shock as he tries to remain focused. "Yeah, but we got bigger moles to stomp on now," Sonic regaining his cool.
"Gee, this is pretty brutal," Tails looks over the corpse touching the severed head. He touches the eyeball as the head jerks a bit as everyone got spooked by it. "Guys relax, and it's just a reflex," Tails calm their nerves.
"Oh man, I thought that head came alive for a second," Cream calmed herself down along with Cheese.
"Let's spread out and search for the Chaos Emerald. Be careful of traps," Tails said as everyone splits up to cover more ground. Amy and Sonic head for the main command center to see if the screen has power left in them.
"Sonic, we can search for that data feed from 18 years ago to see if we can find your mother going to this base," Amy said as she is searching through the records. Amy looks on with interest for she brings up a feed that matches what they wanted to find.
"You got it?" he asked.
"Yep, we can see what happened to her. Time to look this over," Amy said as they watch the video of the last day of Bernadette Hedgehog was last seen.
-Flashback Begins-
The young 21-year-old Bernadette or Bernie for short gets out of a vent to land in a storage room of the Scrap Brain base. Bernadette checks her holo rings on her wrist as she sneaks into the base. "Time to check this place out," Bernie said as she noticed several Badniks like Buzz Bombers and Crabmeats patrolling the area.
"Well, time to take them apart. Piece by piece," Bernie said as she swiftly go through the hallways to activate her holo rings to summon one blade per holo ring to dual-wield energy wrist blades. She goes behind a Crabmeat to slice up the robot with ease. She frees the little animals inside as she is disgusted by this.
"Who can use small critters as a power source? So sick," Bernadette thought as she focuses on the task at hand.
She uses her speed and agility to avoid detection and destroy the robots without being noticed. She heads for the next room to see it's a large warehouse as a camera managed to pick up this small purple hedgehog.
"How interesting, uncle we are detecting an intruder here," Snively said as Doctor Robotnik is in his chair in the central command center.
"Impossible, we have not begun our attack on the towns on South Island yet," Robotnik said as Snively shows him on the screen with Bernie sneaking into the warehouse area. "So, one of the rats has come to check out my masterpieces. We don't need her to alert the others before my conquest of this region," he commanded his forces to be on high alert.
Bernie sees the room has gone flashing red. "This isn't good," she said as Motobugs and Caterkillers appeared trying to surround her.
"So, you think you can come to my house and get away with it? I think not," Robotnik said on the intercoms with Bernadette going into combat stance to slash a charging Motobug.
"So, you are going to give me a welcome party. Mister…" Bernie eggs the mysterious doctor with his name.
"Doctor Ivo Robotnik, the greatest genius in the world," Robotnik said to enjoy the sound of his voice.
"Oh yeah, you're an egg guy on the news from the United Federation," Bernie teases him as Robotnik dislikes this woman calling him out for his appearance. "A disgraced GUN researcher who did illegal experiments on Mobians and animals," Bernie said.
"I am a genius beyond your understanding with an IQ of 300. I am above the common folks in the United Federation. They are below me now and I am going for bigger things like making a proper Empire in my image on this pathetic world," Robotnik said as Bernie is holding off the groups of Badniks.
"You love hearing yourself talk do you?" Bernie joked as Robotnik is quickly finding this woman very annoying. Bernadette performs a Spin Dash to knock down several enemies with her kicking a Caterkiller into a wall and seeing it break apart on impact.
The Motobug fire their laser cannons with Bernie avoiding the energy blasts as she slashes the robot to free the small critter inside.
"Because I am brilliant. Of course, I love the sound of my voice," Robotnik said.
"It's so wonderful sir," Snively said dryly as Bernie is clearing out the forces inside. Bernadette lets out a sonic boom to go deeper within the Scrap Brain base.
Several Buzz Bombers are chasing after her and firing their stinger lasers at her. She is bouncing off the walls to avoid their attacks with her launching at them hard to bash them with a Homing Attack. She rolls into a ball with her two holo rings emitting energy to cloak herself into a shell of energy to bash through a group of Motobugs.
Bernie used her Shield Dash to protect herself while enhancing the striking power of her Spin Dash. Then a huge Crabmeat is blocking her path as she smashes into the robot to destroy it easily. She lands on top of another Crabmeat to use Shield Bounce to crush the metal monster.
Then a large Caterkiller appears to block her path as it screams at her. "This is where your journey ends. Rodent, goodbye," Robotnik ordered his Badnik to attack with it shooting its flamethrower as she curled into the ball to activate the Shield Dash to block the incoming attack.
She hits the metal beast but she gets knocked backward. "Well, this isn't going to be easy," Bernie dodges the incoming lunges from the giant Caterkiller. She slashes the head leaving some damage on it as it back away to lob laser blasts from afar.
Bernadette is running and sliding away from the explosive bolts. She kicks off the wall to use a Homing Attack to strike its head to give it a dent. The Caterkiller slams its head onto the floor to emit shockwaves to knock Bernie onto the floor as it's going to eat her.
"Oh no, you don't," Bernie curls up into a ball to activate her holo shield for the robot to grab her trying to bite her but her shield is holding up against its large jaws. "Repulse," Bernie made the shield break unleashing a burst of energy to destroy its jaws.
She launches off the head and uses her Bounce attack to begin pounding its head and with each blow force it closer to the floor. The Caterkiller tackles Bernadette to send her flying across the room as Robotnik is getting angry at this.
"Are you kidding me, try harder you stupid machine," Robotnik said as Snively is laughing at this.
"What's wrong egghead, not happy with me breaking your toy," Bernie joked as this got under his skin.
"Kill her Caterkiller," Robotnik ordered as Bernadette is getting ready for her next move with her rushing at the damaged machine. The robot is lunging at Bernie with her curling up into a ball.
"Spin Slash," she uses the energy from her holo rings to empower her quills to be pointy and sharp like spikes. She hits her mark and slices through the huge machine in half as she lands behind it.
"I don't believe this," Robotnik is outraged by this as Snively is laughing at his uncle's failure in the background.
Bernadette brushes the dust off her combat suit to smile at the camera. So, did you like the show egghead?' she teases as Robotnik tries to regain his cool.
"I will soon," Robotnik said as suddenly tons of Caterkiller Jr models came out of the heap of the broken machine.
Bernie looks behind her to be overwhelmed by the machines as she was worn out from the last battle. The machine stuns her with electricity for her vision starts to blackout and collapse onto the floor.
"Hmm, this woman is more trouble than she is worth," Robotnik said.
"What are you going to do sir?" Snively asked his Uncle for he has a nasty smile on his round face.
"Oh, I have a perfect test subject for my new machine," Robotnik said as his Badniks grab Bernie to take her to a certain room where there is a special machine Robotnik is working on.
Snively tosses the hedgehog woman into the tube as she tries to move but she has a taser collar on her neck. "What are you doing?" she asked.
"You are going to be part of an experiment my dear, a one-way trip to another dimension. Once I conquer this world, I would like to go to other worlds and take those over as well to be part of my new empire," Robotnik said as Bernie is horrified by this.
"You are mad," Bernadette said as Robotnik laughs at her.
"Well, only I have the brains to control all things. It's how nature works, Snively prepare to send her to the Lost World," Robotnik ordered.
"Of course, sir," Snively said as he begins to charge up the machine for Bernie is unable to stop this.
"Any last words before I send you to another dimension?" Robotnik mocking her.
"Yes, you can go bite yourself. Eggman," Bernie mocks him with that name as Robotnik gets quite upset to trigger the machine to send the mother into another world never to be seen again.
-Flashback Ends-
Sonic and Amy were stunned, when they finished watching a video feed from the past, that Sonic's mother is not dead but got sent into another dimension. "Gee, that Eggman was bad even back then," Sonic said as his mind is filled with relief. "My mom is not dead but sent to another world," Sonic said.
"Eggman managed to send her to a world called the Lost World," Amy said.
"Another world, kind of like Blaze's world?" Sonic asked.
"Correct, it would be like that. Good to know, Eggman didn't kill her. Gee, she was the first one to fight against Eggman's forces," Amy said as she is deeply impressed by Bernadette's skills in combat.
"Yeah, my mom is pretty cool. I can get where my cool factor came from," Sonic said as he was impressed with his mother's speed and skills in battle.
"Yep, like mother like son," Amy said as they got what they came for and take the live feed putting it into a disk. "I can hold this, just in case we need it," she said as she puts it into her bag.
Tails and Cream went into a room to see the Chaos Emerald which is the red one sitting there. "Well, this is weird," Tails said as Cheese grabs the Emerald but something makes the area shake violently.
"Oh crap," Tails said.
"Well seems like you enjoy the sights here," a sultry female voice said which echoed throughout the base. Everyone gets back to the entrance to see a bright image of a tall curvaceous human woman clad in a black robe dress and a purple witch's hat on her head.
"You are the one behind all this?" Sonic asked as the witch has a cruel smile which made her lovely face much uglier than it should be.
"Of course, I am Witchcraft and you just met my Zeti. The Deadly Six who are operating my monsters the Unbound to gain the emeralds and the pieces to the Rift Spector. You are caught into my trap and now you will die here," Witchcraft said as she zaps Eggman's corpse with dark magic.
"What the hell?" Sonic questioned.
"Very curious, Rat. I can't help but hear you plead to fight Robotnik one last time. I'm happy to oblige to that request," Witchcraft said as the whole corpse suddenly starts floating in front of the group converting into an energy ball.
"This is nuts," Amy said as she goes into an attack stance with her magical dress forming on her body to be ready for battle.
"With his essence, I'll form a monster for you to play with," Witchcraft said. Eggman's soul takes shape and its form is made of crystal standing 18 feet tall and a round bulky body with stocky arms and legs. The front part of the monster has an imprint of round eyes, an imposing mustache, and a large grin. "Now's your chance but a word to the wise, he's not happy to see you," Witchcraft said with a devilish grin for her image disappears.
The Eggman Giant roars in anger as he shoves its arm into the ground summoning a wave of crystal heading for the group. They try and scatter but the crystals explode like bombs spreading shrapnel.
"Damn, this wizard turned Eggman into a monster. This is fantastic," Knuckles said sarcastically for him to roll out of the exploding crystal for him to try and score a hit. The Eggman Giant defends himself by extending crystals into his arms and blocking the Knuckles' blows.
The monster unleashes a massive amount of energy in the form of an explosion blowing away Sonic and the others into walls.
"Yeah but this is a new level of craziness even for us," Sonic said as the giant summons a pillar of crystal beneath him as he rose upward trying to impale the duo. Both Cream and Amy rush in to bash the legs of the beast to cause some pain to stun it.
Knuckles slamming his fist into the chest of the monster to knock it several yards away to slam into a pillar breaking it on impact.
Tails toss mines on the floor as he pulls his laser pistol to set it to explosive to let out explosive energy bolts trying to dent the thick hide of the Eggman Giant. "Big jerk over here," Tails taunts the monster for it leaps toward Tails. He rolls backward for the Eggman Giant lands onto his mines to take some damage and fall through the floor.
The monster summons a crystal pillar below him to make himself jump out of the hole to land back on the floor. Tails leave behind a flashbang grenade to let out a powerful light to blind the monster. Sonic uses a Spin Dash to slam into the legs of the Eggman Giant to get it on its knees. Knuckles and Amy attack the beast with powerful blows to knock it backward with Cheese covering himself in energy to tackle him knocking the monster back further.
"Water," Amy casts a spell to unleash a bunch of water bubbles to act like cluster bombs. They crash into the Eggman Giant to unleash smaller bubbles doing even more damage.
"Deep Impact," Knuckles supercharges his right fist to hit the Eggman Giant's chest so head he let out an explosive force that sends the monster through several metal walls until he crushes onto the grass outside.
"Pretty good right hook Knuckles," Amy is impressed.
"Thanks, I was working on that one for a while now," Knuckles said as Team Sonic goes outside to see Knuckles managed to crack open the front part of the monster to see a weird crystal there.
"Gee, this thing comes out coming," Cream said as she opens her umbrella to act like a shield to protect them from an energy beam. Cream's special umbrella deflects the beam away with Tails tosses freeze bombs to slow the monster down.
Sonic runs around the monster to create a tornado with Amy casing fireballs to mix with the tornado becoming a super-heated twister damaging the Eggman Giant further. Amy snaps her fingers to cause the fiery tornado to explode to see the giant still keep going.
"Gee, I never thought my final battle with egghead would be like this," Sonic thought as Knuckles is now engaged with the Giant as he throws multiple Thunder Arrows at the monster. The Eggman Giant creates pillars of crystal blocking Knuckles' attacks for it to make its left arm into a blade swinging it at Knuckles.
Sonic launches a powerful spin dash to smash the crystal blade to scatter it into pieces as the monster pushes it back several yards away. "No more of that nonsense," Tails said.
The Giant latches itself onto the wall for it to raise its arm and spray a shower of needles at the group. Tails toss an orb onto the ground to emit an energy bubble shield to protect them from harm while the crystal spikes stab into the floor around them.
Cream is flying around the incoming crystal towers with her baton umbrella to hit Cheese like a ball. He uses his energy to cover himself in an orb to slam into the head of the beast.
"I hate that Hedgehog!" the giant screamed with rage to punch Cheese to unleash a barrage of crystal spikes to tear up the ground. All of them destroy the crystals with their attacks for Sonic is going to finish Eggman off once and for all.
"Guys hold him back for me. I am ending this," Sonic said as Amy can see the strong look in his eyes to nod her head.
"Come on guys, let's get Sonic some space," Amy said as she tosses her hammer to slam into the giant's arm with Knuckles punching the left arm doing some damage.
Tails tosses freeze bombs to turn the legs frozen solid and Cream flies in to deliver a double kick with Cheese to stun the monster.
"Time to end this Eggman, Light Speed Attack," he unleashes his move cutting through the air for the Eggman Giant to release a very powerful energy sphere at Sonic. He collides with the energy ball trying to overpower it but soon slices through it and punches through the Eggman Giant destroying its power supply. "Your done Egghead," Sonic sends him the last insult he will ever give him.
The monster leaks large amounts of energy as it breaks apart into a large pile of rubble. "Finally, we did it Sonic," Amy gives her hero a big kiss as the Scrap Brain base is falling apart from the battle.
"Yeah, it's finally over with Eggman. Everything started here and now it's done here too. But sadly, his nephew Snively and his wife Regina is on the loose as well along with Breezie as well," Sonic said as he finds peace to see Eggman is gone forever.
"Yeah we will reach that point but we got a Chaos Emerald and Rift Specter part. 1 out of 7 for emerald and 1 out of 8 for the staff parts," Tails said as they win a big victory against this new threat for them to take the shuttle and leave back to Station Square.
Within a few days later, a Mobian Dog pop idol Ren-Ren is doing a show at the Station Square National Mall Complex with Human and Mobian fans cheering for her on stage. A cute 21-year-old Ren-Ren wearing a pink frilly dress is surrounded by her adoring fans. "The sweetness of the heavens. I love you, Ren-Ren," a male fan said as Ren-Ren sported a cutesy smile to melt his heart.
"Thank you, sir. I am very grateful you like my music. Remember everyone I am doing a charity concert in Central City within a week. I hope you support me along with my employer Breeze Media. With your help, we will make Mobius a better place to live. After we deal with the bad guys of course," Ren-Ren gives her fans a cute little wink as the crowds go wild.
"We love you, Ren-Ren," a female fan shouted.
"I know, I know. I need to go," Ren-Ren said as she speeds through the crowd to be within a limo for her driver to pull her away from the crowd.
She is within her limo as she lets out a fat sigh along with her fake happy smile disappearing. "Gee, good grief. I am finally away from those losers," Ren-Ren said as she turns on the TV screen to contact her boss Breezie.
"So how did the meet and greet go?" Breezie asked to broadcast herself on the screen.
"It's all coming together boss, they are eating my words out of my hands like the degenerates they are," Ren-Ren feels dirty from being around so many desperate men.
"Well, you can sell their lungs if a pretty face tells them to do it," Breezie said as she can feel her profits soaring from her number one pop idol to help sell her products.
"I know right, show them a pretty fantasy wife, and they each drop 50,000 credits per order. It's insane how crazy these weirdos are. So how is gaining Eggman's old assets going?" she asked.
"Perfectly due to the news of Eggman's recently. I have managed to gain several machines and other things which will prove useful to my private military forces," Breezie said.
"You are cutting a good deal. All this drama from this event has generated a lot of views and views turn into cold hard cash," Ren-Ren said.
"Indeed, I will keep my ear to the ground. I'm not a woman to be played with. Keep going my favorite pop star," Breezie said as the CEO cuts the line with Ren-Ren being concerned with Honey Cat.
"Miss Sunshine, my rival. I need to step up my game so I would be the true top pop idol in the world," Ren-Ren has a nasty look on her face to come up with a plan to put down Honey's singing career for good.
