Chapter 6: Green with Envy
A few days after their mission to South Island found some interesting things like a Red Chaos Emerald and a part of the Rift Spector. Amy, Sonic, Tails, and Cream are coming to the Station Square National Mall Complex to see Honey who is a longtime fashion designer and becoming a pop idol in recent times.
"Gee Honey is getting popular over the months huh?" Amy wondered as they see her posters all over the walls
"I am proud of what Honey did," Sonic said.
"Yes and her music is pretty good," Cream said.
"Some people think it's sugary nonsense," Tails said to see some of her haters online were quite vicious in their reviews.
"Those dumbasses have no taste in music. Her music is so good, full of energy, and hopes to inspire others," Amy said.
"Seems like you are a big fan of Honey's music," Tails said.
"How can I not be, it's my jam," Amy said as they also see another pop star coming to perform here in the mall who is called Ren-Ren dressed up in a cute pink pop outfit. "Oh goodness, not this girl," Amy said.
"Oh yeah, I've seen her posters and ads everywhere online and in the cities," Tails said.
"She is awful. She seems so fake to me," Cream said as Amy nods her head.
"I know right, she is the worst and her music sucks too," Amy said.
"Sounds like noise to me. Honey is doing a show here along with her rival Ren-Reb doing another concert on the other side of the mall," Sonic said.
"I am so hyped to see Honey's performance," Amy said as Tails nods his head.
"Yes, I hope that Ren-Ren girl doesn't do anything underhanded. She posted some nasty rumors about Honey online like her being a cultist member or being a loose woman," Tails said.
"Yeah, that was very mean of her. She is just jealous Honey is a genuine person who is relatable and has a killer voice," Cream said.
"I know right, we can keep her safe if she tries to make her show look bad," Sonic said.
"A rivalry huh, sounds pretty toxic," Cream said.
"Yeah on Ren-Ren's end. We don't need more crazy girls sticking around us," Sonic said.
"Yep or I will smash her into next week with my hammer," Amy said.
"You picked that outfit huh?" Amy asked as Cream is wearing a purple top, blue shorts, and black shoes along with a purple cap on her furry head.
"I thought it looked good right?" Cream asked as Amy pats her on the back.
"It's very cute on you," Amy said as Cream nods her head.
"Does it look good, sweetheart?" Cream asked to give Tails her best puppy dog eyes with Tails blushing from this.
"Well, of course. You always look good Cream," Tails said.
"Whipped," Sonic joked.
"Sonic, that is rich coming from you," Tails took a light jab at him.
"Yep I bend over and he looks like a deer caught in the headlights," Amy teased him as Sonic blushed in the face.
"You got me with that one," Sonic said.
"Okay, let's head for Honey's concert," Cream said as they managed to see Ren-Ren going to her concert on the other side of the mall.
"Oh, that yellow bimbo. They care about her looks, I will show her what real music looks like," Ren-Ren said as she approaches her stage to perform one of her songs. "Hello everyone, Ren-Ren here. I hope you enjoy my performance today," Ren-Ren noticed her crowd is less than half than it was before.
"Seems like people know who the real star is here," Tails said.
"Yeah, Honey is drawing about 5 times the size, and it's not full yet," Cream scans the room to see the crowd is only getting bigger.
"No amount of Breezie's money can buy skill and talent," Sonic said as Ren-Ren looks over at the gang to have a nasty look on her face.
"Oh, those idiots. There are here and that yellow bimbo is here as well. It's perfect for our plan to begin," Ren-Ren thought to cook up Breezie's plan.
Sonic and the others are within a huge area to see a stage in the middle of the room. Honey is in her idol outfit consisting of her remarkable red dress ready to perform her music. The four friends wave to Honey as she smiles back at them. She feels more energized than before to see the cheers of her fans shake up the whole area.
"Alright everyone, I am the Sunshine Honey speaking, are you ready to have a good time?" Honey sound as the crowd roars with cheers as she begins singing and dancing on the stage.
"Look at Honey go," Amy said as Honey is enjoying herself pleasing her adoring fans.
"She is so bouncing up there," Cream said as Sonic leers at Amy's deep cleavage exposed from her low-cut top.
"Amy is way more bouncing," Sonic said slyly as Amy elbows him in the stomach to compare Amy's F Cup boobs to Honey's C cup boobs.
"Sonic," Amy said as Sonic has a cheeky smile. "Is that what you like Sonic, big tits?" she asked.
"Part of it is why I love you so much," Sonic said as Amy sighs at this.
"You and Shadow, only going after big-breasted women," Amy said as Rouge and Amy are very mature-looking females.
"I think you are going about this in a surface-level type of way. You were smaller back when we started dating, I still love you regardless but you are looking like this is a big bonus," Sonic said.
"Yeah Sonic has a certain type of body shape he likes," Tails said as Sonic playfully hits him on the shoulder.
"Gee Tails, trying to be cool about it," Sonic said as they resume watching the show.
Both shows have stopped with Ren-Ren looking on with anger. She sees Honey has gathered much bigger than she did. "Well, at least she is here now," Ren-Ren said as she calls on her phone to talk with Breezie. "Boss, they are here. Sonic and Honey are here inside the mall," Ren-Ren said.
"Good, taking out the competition and the hero all in one go. That is what I call a good business move," Breezie said. "Now use that computer virus and put it into the mall's mainframe. It will take care of the rest," Breezie said.
"Indeed, the whole mall can be controlled through the mainframe and the sentient virus will turn this place into a death trap for them," Ren-Ren said as she go towards the control room with the USB drive holding the virus inside. "I would love to see the look on Sunshine's face when her life flashes before her eyes while I gain the real title of Mobius's top pop idol," Ren-Ren said as she sneaks off from her crowd of fans.
Back with Honey coming off the stage to see her fans wanting to take selfies and get her autographs signed for her fans. "Did you guys like the show?" Honey asked to dust off her red dress fitting her slender figure.
"Pretty good," Amy said.
"Well done Honey," Tails said.
"You were impressive," Cream said.
"Pretty neat," Sonic said as Honey giggled from their praise.
"Thanks, guys. I am glad you like it. I look killer in my red dress on stage," Honey said as she whips up her long black hair tied in twin tails. "Come on, let's hit the food court and I will treat you all," Honey said.
"Cool, I love free food," Amy said as they head down the hallways to see Ren-Ren walking by them.
"Oh, hello there Ren-Ren," Honey said as she speaks with her rival.
"Oh, hey there Sunshine. I see you managed to surpass your last outing, you must be so proud of yourself," Ren-Ren said in a dry tone.
"I should, I owe it to my loving fans and my close friends," Honey said as Ren-Ren brushes it off to be sickened by her cutesy demeanor.
"Sure whatever. you are just a cute face with no talent," Ren-Ren said pointing to her chest trapped in her red dress as Honey is offended by this.
"How rude, you have so much fake stuff like your eyelashes, the facelifts, and a butt lift," Honey said as she knows that everything about Ren-Ren's body is paid for to be used to push Breezie's products.
"It's all to make me flawless," Ren-Ren said as Honey feels pity for her to think her fakeness is a strength.
"Well, I need to eat with my friends. So have a good day," Honey said as the five friends head off to the food court. Ren-Ren has a nasty smile on her face.
"Oh, I will have a good day. When you all drop dead," Ren-Ren said to head over to the control room.
Honey takes her group to the All-Stars Buffet as they get a seat inside. "Well, it's an all-you-can-eat buffet at lunch hours. Go nuts," Honey said.
"You are talking my language, Honey," Sonic said as they begin to grab their shares with them taking in their surroundings in a warm comfortable setting with families, friend groups, and couples.
Amy is going to pick up her food as a male hawk Mobian is checking her out from his table. "Hey, look at the sexy little hedgehog," the male hawk said as he goes over to Amy who is picking up some buttered rolls onto her plate.
Amy feels someone checking her out as a weird male hawk is coming over to her. "Oh great, some creep," Amy thought.
"Hey there sweet cheeks," the hawk said as Amy is trying to hold herself back from slamming his head in with her hammer.
"What do you want?" Amy asked as she feels the leers of this pervert looking at her large tits in her crop top and also checking out her curvy legs.
"I was wondering if you can hang out with me for some yummy food," the hawk said.
"I am with friends here and I have a boyfriend already. Look somewhere else," Amy said as the guy is pushing up on her. Tails and Sonic noticed this as they moved toward her.
"Hey maybe we can get to know each other better and then you can feel more comfortable," the male hawk said as he grabs Amy's arm.
"Don't touch me," Amy summons her hammer to scare off the creep with Sonic and Tails approaching her.
"Amy, are you okay?" Sonic asked.
"Yeah, that guy was being very weird," Tails said as Amy puts her hammer away.
"Yeah, he was being a weirdo. Give me fuck me eyes, thanks for coming to my defense guys," Amy said as Sonic pats her on the shoulder.
"Anytime babe," Sonic said as Amy smiles at this.
"My knight in shining armor," Amy said as she sees them both gathered their food already. "More chili dogs Sonic?" Amy asked as he has a plate of onion rings, French fries, cheesy breadsticks, and two chili dogs.
"Hey, it's all part of a balanced meal," Sonic said as both Tails and Amy sighed at this.
"Sure Sonic, whatever you say, buddy," Tails said as Cream is gathering some food on her plate to head back Tails is bothered by something.
"Hey, sweetie. What's wrong?" Cream asked being worried about how serious his face looked.
"Oh, I was thinking about Cosmo's disappearance," Tails said.
"Still didn't figure it out yet?" Cream asked as Cosmo did come back taking over 2 years to regenerate back to normal in her adult form but she was too late for Tails to begin dating Cream.
"Yeah, when she came back. She was pretty angry with us, she said I stole you from her despite our grief for her almost dying. We found each other in that sadness," Cream said as she grabs onto Tails' hand to hold it tenderly.
"Yeah, but she went off into the Mystic Ruins and there is no trace of her like she vanished into the ether," Tails said.
"Well keep trying. She is still our friend regardless," Cream said as she hopes she will be found soon.
"Yeah," Tails said as everyone place their plates onto the table with Cream noting all the foods on her plate like cheesy breadsticks, slices of cheese pizza, chicken mini sandwiches, and shreds of BBQ chicken.
"Quite the spread," Cream said as Honey nods her head.
"Yep, yep. I am so hungry," Honey said as she chews into her mini burger. "Sorry about Ran-Ran being a bit of bitch out there," Honey said.
"It's okay, she is just jealous of your success in the Idol business," Amy said.
"Yeah dealing with Breeze is like dealing with the dark side. You never come back from the greed twisting your mind. That is why I choose to be Indie in terms of my fashion business and Idol career. I don't want to deal with corporate types like Breezie" Honey said.
"I know right? That lady got some nerve. She keeps going to my mom to sell our restaurant and replace it with some soulless coffee shop. That place is in my family for generations nothing can replace that, I hate her guts," Amy said.
"That lady comes from the same cloth as her former boss Eggman," Sonic said.
"Yeah and we need to deal with them sooner than later with all this news of Eggman's death coming out," Tails said as they all enjoy their meal together.
Elsewhere Ren-Ren is in the control room to plug in the USB drive to install a living virus in the mainframe of the mall.
"Now Havoc, do some damage. The plan is to let Havoc activate the sleeping gas putting everyone inside to sleep while triggering the generator to overheat and explode killing everyone inside the mall while they are fast asleep. It's perfect," Ren-Ren said as she leaves the control room with all the guards knocked out by sleeping darts.
"Goodbye Honey, hope your big head doesn't hit you on your way to the afterlife along with your friends," Ren-Ren said as the living computer virus Havoc is beginning to leak out sleeping gas within the whole building while Ren-Ren makes her escape.
Back with Honey and Cream who are shopping at a clothing shop while Sonic, Tails, and Amy are hanging out somewhere else. Suddenly they hear a hissing noise as Amy's ears pick this up. "Oh my, what is this?" Amy wondered as she gets gas into her mouth as her body is beginning to feel heavy.
"What is happening?" Tails wondered as he pulls out his datapad to scan the area. "There is a breach in the mall's security. There is a sentient virus within the mall's mainframe and it's closing down the whole mall," Tails said as he looks over to see Sonic on the floor.
"Sonic wake up," Amy feels her body getting heavy for she cast a Flame Shield on herself to burn away the gas in her body and protect her from the gas. "That was close," Amy can see Sonic is knocked out and Tails pulls out a rebreather to place it on his muzzle.
"I knew this would come in handy," Tails said as Sonic, Cream, and Honey are knocked out by the sleeping gas.
"What is going on Tails?" Amy questioned to see if the GUN robots got hacked to go attack anyone who is not asleep.
"Seems like we have clever guests. Take care of them," Havoc said on the speakers for the GUN Hunter and GUN Beetles to go in to attack Amy and Tails. He pulls out his custom blaster to shoot the Beatles out of the air. Amy smashes a Trooper to bits with her hammer as she casts waves of sharp air to slice up the remaining machines.
"Here Amy, take this. I got a spare just in case your elemental shield breaks," Tails hands her a rebreather to place it onto her muzzle.
"Thanks, Tails. What do we do?" she asked.
"Well seems like the virus is taking over the mainframe and trying to overload the generator destroying the entire mall complex," Tails said as Amy is surprised by this.
"Are you kidding me, I bet that dog bitch Ren-Ren is involved. A student of Breezie," Amy said.
"I need you to guard me while I use her software to destroy the virus. We need to head for the server room and I can work my magic there," Tails said as Amy is battle ready to tip her sailor cap.
"Lead the way Tails, I will back you up," Amy holding her hammer for the duo to see a bunch of people on the floor asleep with rouge GUN robots shooting at them.
Tails toss anti-gravity bombs to lift a group of robots into the air leaving Amy to smash them to pieces. "Wind," Amy cast a gust of wind to blow away a bunch of machines to slam into a wall reduced to scrap metal
"Troublesome fur bags," Havoc said on the speakers to unleash more machines trying to stop them. Tails toss a freeze grenade to turn the robots into ice statues with Amy smashing them apart.
"Eat my hammer," Amy hits the floor with her hammer to unleash a wave of earth spikes to impale squads of GUN Beetles. She tosses her hammer to crash into a Hunter to turn it into scrap metal while recalling it back into her hand.
"Stop it, you will not stop me from blowing up this mall and taking you all with me," Havoc said as they are getting closer to the server room.
"Not going to happen jackass," Amy said as several security gates are blocking them. "Leave this to me Tails," Amy performs her Hammer Spin which Amy spins on her feet at a rapid rate, spinning so fast that she becomes a pink-colored tornado with her hammer hanging on the side.
She is taking out several security gates with ease to see a GUN Rhino in her path. Amy manages to smash through the machine for them to reach the server room. "Thanks, Amy. Cover me," Tails said as he goes inside to wirelessly link with the terminal to begin to use software to purge the living virus.
"No, don't do this," Havoc begged but Tails keeps on spreading his program into the system to begin killing off the virus with Amy blocking hacked GUN robots keep coming.
Several lasers hit Amy's Flame Shield to soon break it leaving her open to the gas but she got a rebreather to keep her safe from the sleeping gas. "Water," Amy conjures a barrage of bubble bombs to blow away the enemy forces.
A charging GUN Rhino is about to tackle Amy but she flips over the machine and knocks it into a wall destroying it. Amy stomps her feet onto the floor to create a wall of stone to block incoming missiles and laser bolts. She shoves the stone wall to break through groups of machines while she made the rock wall explode destroying the remaining robot forces.
"I got you now, time to purge you," Tails said as he executes his program for Havoc is beginning to fade away.
"Damn it," Havoc is destroyed by Tails to restore the robots to normal, turn off the gas, and bring the generator under control.
Honey, Sonic, and Cream soon wake up from their slumber to see Amy and Tails standing over them.
"Amy and Tails, are you okay?" Cream asked as Amy helps gets Cream onto her feet.
"Yes we are, we managed to get rid of the virus. The mall is cleared now," Tails said.
"Oh my, that was insane, You saved our bacon" Honey said.
"All through my training and support of course," Sonic said to feel proud of his best friend and girlfriend for their efforts.
"You two were amazing," Cream said as Tails blushes from all this praise.
"Well, I was just doing that I do best," Tails said feeling humble about this.
"Well, I own you two. Come on, let's continue our clothing shopping," Honey said as they keep hanging out for Breezie's plan failed.
Elsewhere Breezie is quite pissed with Ren-Ren as her virus Havoc failed to kill Sonic and the others.
"Are you kidding me, this should have been a flawless trap and yet we still lose," she shouted out of the cell phone.
"Look I didn't know that pink hedgehog was a powerhouse," Ren-Ren said feeling cheated of her ultimate victory against Honey and her friends.
"What pink hedgehog?" she asked.
"That woman Amy Rose," Ren-Ren sends the photo of Amy to Breezie.
"Oh, I remember her and her bitch of a mother. They wouldn't let me take their dumpster of a tofu shop to make it into something more useful. Ren-Ren, you are dismissed," Breezie said to cut off the phone. "This is concerning, I need to keep an eye on Amy and her new magic powers," Breezie said as she prepares her plans to deal with Sonic, Amy, and the others.
