Chapter 8: Team Bonds
Amy is hanging out with her friends Cream, Tiara, Sticks, and Gemerl at her condo in Station Square to have a tea party. Sonic is hanging out with Knuckles, Tails, Mighty and Espio somewhere else. "Hey, there baby. Having fun with the guys?" she asked on her smartphone as Sonic is having fun with the boys at an amusement park.
"Yeah babe, just going on the roller coaster. Sorry got to go, we are almost at the end of the line," Sonic said.
"Okay have fun," Amy said to cut the line as Cream is sipping her cup of blueberry tea.
"This is so okay," Cream said as Amy takes note that Cream has become a lovely young lady for she is now 13 years old and is almost as tall as Amy now. She is sporting an orange sundress along with blue shoes and white gloves.
"Cream, you are becoming more beautiful every day," Amy said as Cream glowed with embarrassment.
"Oh thanks, Amy. I am becoming more like my mom every year," Cream said as she hands her Chao Cheese some pound cake. "Say hey Cheese," Cream said as Cheese coos at Amy for they noticed he has become a white Angel Chao with the same red bowtie as before.
"Hey little cutie," Amy said to give Cheese a high five. "He is getting big lately," Amy said as Cream nods her head as she fixes her tuft of hair on top of her head.
"Oh yes, I've been taking care of him good lately and now he is an Angel Chao recently," Cream said.
"So, how is that baton umbrella doing for you?" she asked.
"It's going just fine now," Cream shows off her weapon of choice which is an Umbrella. "My training has been paying off. Some bullies were trying to take my money and I use the baton umbrella to fend them off," Cream said.
"That's my girl," Amy said as she rubs her tuft of orange hair on her head.
"I thought it was a bad idea but you made it work," Tiara said as she is sitting her sit drinking her tea like a true lady for Amy is fawning over Tiara's cool lady approach.
"Gee, Tiara is so cool," Amy said as she has a girl crush on this older woman.
"I know but Amy got it custom-made for me. It's strong enough to be used as a baton, I can whack robots and bad guys with it. Also, the fabric of the umbrella is strong enough to block strikes, bullets, lasers, and other things like a shield," Cream said.
"Pretty cool, where did you get a custom job like that from?" Tiara asked.
"JoJo's Custom Shop. He is a weapon shop in my hometown of Okina City. He was the one who made me my Piko-Piko Hammer when I first join Team Sonic," Amy said.
"Oh, that's so cool, like in a video game or something," Cream hugs her weapon to her chest. "Yes, this is awesome and Cheese is training to be pretty strong as my partner," Cream said as Cheese emits energy to form a barrier. "He knows some energy powers which would be helpful to us," Cream said.
"Pretty neat, Chao gets strong based on certain traits," Amy said impressed with Cream and Cheese so far.
"We will do our best for Team Sonic," Cream said being polite as ever despite being a teenager now.
Sticks aim her bow at Amy. "Hey, think fast Amy," Sticks fires an arrow with Amy easily catching the arrow in midflight.
"Watch it Sticks," Amy said.
"Sorry I wanted to test your reflex time," Sticks said as Amy is annoyed by this.
"You are lucky I have improved reflexes with my magic enhancements," Amy said.
"Yeah, did she ever tell about the mystery of our Mobian roots and where we came from?" Sticks asked as Amy rolls her eyes at this.
"Oh boy, not this again," Amy asked.
"I speak the truth, Mobians came from aliens," Sticks said as Tiara and Cream looked at each other funny. "I am serious, in the history books we just came out of nowhere. How can you explain that?" Sticks asked.
"There are other theories about how Mobians were made what we are today. Nothing to do with aliens," Amy said as her historic knowledge is unaware of aliens making the Mobians.
"But how it can't be, it's been 12,000 years ago since Mobians showed up out of nowhere," Sticks said as Amy always found this odd but puts it to the side for now.
"Gee I am thinking you need to chill out Sticks. Besides better to think about other things now," Tiara said as Sticks drinks her tea to enjoy the taste.
"This is pretty good, not going to lie about that," Sticks said.
"Thanks, I got it from a tea shop back in Okina City. My mother has been getting our stock there for the Tofu shop for years now," Amy said.
"The taste is pretty nice. Your mother chose well Amy," Tiara said.
"Thanks, Tiara. You look pretty good today," Amy said to comment on her outfit. Tiara is the oldest among the women in the condo with Amy being 21, Cream being 13, Sticks being 20, and Tiara being 23. Tiara is wearing a red tube top holding in her sizable chest, blue jeans, and black sneakers. Her long brown hair is tied in a low ponytail.
"Thanks, this kitty cat needs to be fresh after that weird heat wave we got. Very annoying," Tiara said.
"I am happy you befriended us, Tiara. Your ice powers are very useful," Amy said.
"No problem Amy. What are friends for?" Tiara said with a cool smile.
"So cool, graceful, and beautiful. I want to be just like her," Amy thought to always be impressed with this cool warrior princess.
"How is that Crystal Ring doing you?" Sticks asked.
"It's pretty cool. I can use magic and cast all sorts of elemental spells. I have access to the four elements Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. It aids in boosting my strength, speed, endurance, and reflexes with magical energies," Amy said.
"Seems useful, I wish I knew where I got my ice powers from but more powers the better we can fight threats," Tiara said.
"Right, as the co-leader of Team Sonic. I want to be as useful as possible and I can be Sonic's equal in terms of abilities," Amy said.
"Speaking of stuff, I made a new bow," Sticks shows off her nicely made recurve bow along with her quiver filled with custom-made arrows.
"Wow pretty cool Sticks," Amy said as Cream and Cheese looked over her equipment.
"Seems pretty cool. Good with a Bow?" Cream asked.
"Yes, I am very good with a bow. I used to hunt in the wilderness before meeting with Amy a while ago," Sticks said as Amy takes a cupcake off the table to begin eating it.
"I found her on the island living on her own. I saved her and now we've been friends ever since," Amy said.
"Island life is nice but being in the city is okay. I never like the noise though, that's annoying," Sticks said to bite into a pound cake.
"I see, you are very interesting Sticks," Cream said.
"Yep very unique," Amy said as Sticks gives them a thumbs up.
"I am and it's good to know you two," Sticks said as she shows them her unique arrows. "I got these steel-tipped arrows to pierce metal or flesh targets, explosive arrows to make some big booms, electric arrows to disable those stupid robots, and flame arrows to set bastards on fire," Sticks said as Amy looks over at Gemerl helping serve the snacks.
"Good to see you, Amy Rose," Gemerl said to greet her.
"Nice to see you again Gemerl, how is Vanilla doing lately?" Amy asked.
"She is doing well enough. She is nursing Chocola due to illness," Gemerl said as Amy is sad about this.
"Oh, that's too bad. I hope the little guy is okay," Amy said as Cream holds onto her smile.
"Don't worry, mom is great at taking care of Chao. Chocola will be okay," Cream said.
"Indeed, she is very capable," Amy gets a call from Honey on her phone. "Oh, this Honey, I will be right back," Amy said as she talks with honey.
"What's up Amy, sorry for not being able to get to the tea party. I have to custom make this design for someone. It's a hefty price tag," Honey said as she is on her laptop to go over a digital version of the outfit she is making for a client.
"I see, how about that dress I ordered from you?" Amy asked.
"Oh yeah, it will take a while to give you your custom dress. Trust me it's going to be amazing," Honey said.
"Well, I hope we can hang out soon with all your concerts and fashion deals," Amy said being a bit sad.
"No worries Amy, we will hang out and we will both be fabulous while doing it," Honey said.
"Cool, see you later," Amy said as Tiara looks at a news report about a recent attack on Station Square Park.
"Breaking News, weird boars are coming from the Station Square National Park who is attacking people and look mutated," the reporter said as Amy noted how the boars look like Unbound has taken control of them making them more violent.
"Seems like the Witch is making her move. Come on everyone, let's take care of this," Amy said as she taps her Crystal Ring to get into a magical sailor dress for Tiara looks on with confusion.
"Is that seriously your battle outfit?" Tiara asked.
"Yep," Amy said happily.
"You look like one of those Magical Girls in the manga books and tv shows," Tiara said as Amy is happy to hear this.
"That was what I was going for and it's so cool," Amy said as Tiara sighed.
"Whatever makes you happy Amy," Tiara said as Amy, Tiara, Cream, Sticks and Gemerl get out of Amy's apartment and finds weird-looking boars who look oversized.
"Gee, these things are weird," Amy said as they see a boar killing a squad of human and Mobian SWAT units.
Amy shoots fireballs with the mutant Boar to burn it to a crisp. Another pig rushes it forward with both Gemerl and Amy using their strength to bash it back into a building killing it on the spot. Amy sees the Possessor Unbound are controlling these helpless animals and need to kill them to set them free.
"Help me," a small human child said as Cream and Cheese break off to rescue them.
"I'm coming," Cream uses her large ears to fly toward the human child. Another boar but much smaller than the last one is about to ram into the child. Cream swoops in to grab the child with Cheese blocking the charge of the mutant boar.
"Chao," Cheese uses his new powers to punch the Boar knocking it onto the pavement.
"Are you okay little one?" Cream asked as she is holding a small human child.
"Yes," the kid said.
"Are you hurt?" Cream asked as the human boy said no. "Good," Cream hovers back onto the ground to drop him there.
Cheese gets knocked away by the boar as its aura covers it with dark power. The pig opens its mouth to fire a beam of dark energy. Cream uses her umbrella to open it to block the incoming blast. The beam deflects off her umbrella into the sky.
"Good now," Cream said as she rolls out of the blinding charge of the beast.
"Thank you," the boy said for this made Cream smile as she whacks the boar back with Cheese powers up with energy to tackle the big pig into a wall.
"No problem, now get out of here," Cream said as the human boy nods his head to move out of there. "Cheese," Cream said as she calls him back. Cheese curls into a ball with Cream knocking them into the beast several times with each blowing getting stronger than the last. "Taste this," Cream hits Cream and slams her Chao full force to crush the monster's head killing it instantly.
"Chao," Cheese gives Cream a high five.
"Good work Cheese, nicely done," Cream said as more Boars are starting to pop out all over the place.
"Amy and Tiara, I am detecting several energy signals in this area," Gemerl said as they see mutant boar smash through a building trying to rush at them. He uses his sword arm to cut the big pig in half with gore bursting all over the place.
"That's gross," Amy said as Tiara activates her frost powers with her long brown hair turning snow white and her blue eyes turning into red ones. Her body is covered in frost energy as she lets out a blast of ice from her hands to freeze the boars into ice statues. She snaps her fingers to see them explode becoming piles of red ice.
"Come on, let's do this," Tiara turns her shoes into ice skates as she frosts the ground underneath to use her speed and skates to dodge incoming enemies with grace. She cuts and slashes with her skates on her boots to rip the boars apart.
She is shooting balls of ice to freeze the boars with Amy, Gemerl, and Cream smashing them to pieces. Amy is striking down the boars with explosive water bubbles to take out groups of enemies.
"Hey Tiara, lining them up for you," Sticks said as she stuns them with arrows. Tiara lets out a wide blast of ice to freeze them as she smashes them with a strong-bladed kick.
"Thanks, Frost Burst," Tiara summons an orb of ice for it to begin to spit mini ice orbs to seek out their targets. All the surrounding mutant boars got frozen with everyone slamming up the rest of them.
They see noticed a huge boar slam through the trees as Tiara flings the huge ice ball to smash into the big boar killing it instantly. Amy summons rows of earth spikes to impale a group of enemies turning them into piles of red gore.
Sticks is working with Amy as she is firing stun arrows to taser three boars leaving them open to attacks. Amy uses her Hammer Spin to smash them down with their bodies torn to pieces by her speed and power.
Sticks fire an explosive arrow to pierce into its skull following up with an explosion destroying its head. "Amy, look out," Sticks fires stun arrows to stop two boars in their tracks. Amy bashes the two big pigs away from her group.
"Thanks, Sticks," Amy said as she smashes the head of a mutant pig killing the thing.
Gemerl is using his speed and blade arm to cut down several boars leaving piles of gore behind. Gemerl powers up his blade to prepare for his next attack. "Talon Scar," Gemerl unleashes a massive amount of energy crescents killing over 30 mutant boars lined up on the streets turning them all into bloody bacon bits.
"Damn Gemerl, that was cool," Amy said being very impressed by this.
"Thanks, I was practicing that one. More energy signals are coming from the park," Gemerl said.
They go forward into the park to follow Gemerl still wielding his sword arm to see a lot of Unbound Boars as they begin to fight off the mutant boars.
"This is getting annoying, so many of them," Amy said as she gets knocked into a tree by a charging boar. Sticks fire explosive and stun arrows into boars in a deadly combo with stunning them first and blowing up their heads.
"Amy," Cream gets tackled by an evil boar but Gemerl catches Cream in his arm.
"You okay Cream?" he asked.
"Yes Gemerl, we need to focus," Cream said as Cheese stops a charging boar with an energy shield. Cheese follows this up with a strong kick knocking the boar into a tree. Amy and Gemerl use their weapons to smash a few Unbound boars with ease.
A dark beam hits Sticks sending her flying into a tree as Gemerl releases an energy crescent to chop a mutant boar into large scraps of meat.
Tiara sends a wave of ice and freezes a bunch of mutant boars as a white hair Manx Cat lands in front of them to snap her fingers to see the monster get killed in icy blasts. Sticks is firing her stun arrows to pierce into the boars' skulls with Amy unleashing a powerful shockwave to tear them to pieces.
Another huge Unbound Boar smashes through the trees to hit Tiara and launch her into a rock to hurt her back. "Cheese," Cream commanded as the boar rushes again with Cheese using his power to tackle the monster to stop it dead in its tracks.
Sticks fire her explosive arrows to cause some damage blowing chunks of flesh from its body. Amy peppered the monster with fireballs to burn off parts of its body. Tiara freezes the boar solid and Gemerl uses his arm cannon to blast the frozen boar to bloody pieces.
"Well Unbound has been purged," Tiara reverts to normal as Amy looks at the dead boars which were used by the Possessor Unbound to do their bidding.
"Pretty awful, these things are Witchcraft's minions. Fitting for a monster like her," Amy said as she returns to her normal outfit and make her hammer disappear.
"Thankfully we managed to stop them," Cream said.
"All this free food for me," Sticks said as she is so happy to see free meat everywhere.
"I doubt those are edible Sticks," Tiara said.
"Also, those mutant animals were infected by Unbound. It's not safe to eat them anyway," Gemerl said.
"You guys ruined my fun," Sticks said as Amy gets a call from Honey.
"Hey Amy, I just saw the news about the weird pigs. You guys took care of it already?" Honey asked.
"Don't worry about it," Amy said.
"Gee, I just got these clawed gloves to help me do fieldwork. Tell Tiara, I want to do some training to get into Team Treasure better," Honey said.
"Of course, I and Sonic will help you get ready," Amy said.
"Thanks, Amy. You are a pal. See you all later," Honey said as she turns off the phone.
"Let's head back home and enjoy the rest of the day," Amy said.
"Yes that would be nice," Cream said as they head back to Amy's condo to enjoy the rest of their tea party.
Elsewhere Witchcraft is preparing to collect the green emerald to bring Zavok and Zeena to her chamber. "What is your wish mistress?" Zavok asked as they both bow to her.
"I need you two to head for a place called Section 55. It's a secret GUN research base that holds a Chaos Emerald. I need you two to lead a force of Unbound to secure the gemstone," she ordered.
"Of course, we will crush anyone in our way," Zavok said as they disappear into a dark void leaving the witch to her thoughts.
