At this point in the countdown and that accounts for every level including the bonus Flight, Speedway, Sparx and Boss Battle levels of the three Spyro PS1 games, we move on in from the countdown from levels that I found to be pretty boring and flat out bad to play through to now at the point in the countdown starting with Ocean Speedway from Spyro 2 with levels that I found while not bad, were just very forgettable and bland levels of the three Spyro PS1 games, IMO.
In as such of what I stated back with my Icy Flight write-up, Ocean Speedway was a semi-decent speedway / flight level of what it was for but, compared to the remaining speedway / flight levels left to rank in of the countdown and that includes in general of the better two speedway levels from Spyro 2 left to rank on the countdown with Icy and Metro Speedway in talks, Ocean Speedway falls short on the countdown in such thanks to in part of how fairly easy Ocean Speedway is and how much so of nothing memorable aside from boat enemies to take out in part of the level and the funny hilarious easter egg with the ability to kill the fish crowd members in of the speedway, nothing of note for IMO at least, sticks out in Ocean Speedway.
In terms of the main course gameplay design of Ocean Speedway aside from the cool and unique boat enemy targets to take out in part of the level, nothing in terms of the level course design sticks out making it fairly much so like a typical straightforward flight / speedway level of such of the already speedway / flight levels already on the countdown with Night and Crystal Flight from Spyro 1. The simple general style of Ocean Speedway with your typical arch targets to take out in of the level return of Ocean Speedway. It also hurts on the fact that thanks to in part of how all of the targets of Ocean Speedway link up with each other close, it's easy to follow the bland and repetitive ring-boat-arches-karts pattern in of the level causing me why to rank it nowhere near as the best speedway / flight level IMO, on the countdown.
As of note the only other game design that sticks out memorable for me in terms of Ocean Speedway goes is the ability to take out and kill the fish crowd members in part of the middle sections in part of the level in very hilarious ways and letting out funny death cries in the process when you kill them but, aside from that note, not much else to say about for Ocean Speedway. Not a terrible level by any means but, just very forgettable and bland in style of game design.
