There is one word that always comes to my mind when I describe Dry Canyon from Spyro 1. GENERIC. Nothing of note in terms of unique style and gameplay come out of Dry Canyon and easily one of the worst main levels of Spyro 1 and definitely not the most entertaining level out there which is a big disappointment on how almost every other level of Spyro 1 and almost all of the remaining levels in general from Spyro 2 and Spyro 3 in the games, is unique in it's own right with at least some style of charm you can't help but enjoy from. Dry Canyon isn't a bad level overall with the main design of the level making sense and easy to explore in but, in part of how nothing of note in terms of the level is going to knock your socks off with and easily just an overall very forgettable level much like what I stated with the past few forgettable levels in of already appearing of the countdown so far.

Much of what I said earlier in the write-up aside from Terrace Village which is already reviewed in for on the countdown, Dry Canyon is easily the most blandest and forgettable main level to play through in of Spyro 1, IMO. Nothing exciting in terms of gameplay design sticks out making unique unlike the rest of the main levels of Spyro 1 and involves the typical and boring Point A to Point B gameplay process. This goes in such for the more bland and boring enemies you face off with in of the level. The only main enemies you come across in the level are generic gnorcs with shields that go down easily by your charge attack and the big vultures the charge after you but turn to easy fruitcake pie kills with them easily going down to Spyro's flame attack.

Unlike where the rest of the Spyro 1 main levels go for the countdown where you had unique enemies to face off with, gameplay design where it was fun and challenging to play through and unique design to explore in of the levels just for the fun of it, Dry Canyon offers nothing of that sort of any kind of level design variety of such. Adding more burn to the fire that adds up on me not enjoying much out of Dry Canyon is also with the fact, that I have never been a fan of anything desert related in Video Games in of Dry Canyon, thanks to in part of how bland and forgettable I find them to be and Dry Canyon is no different in of it here for of the Spyro games.

Not the most entertaining level out there and the only reason of such of why I do not have Dry Canyon ranked lower on the countdown is thanks to the decently catchy song that plays in part of the level and fits the style of the level well thanks to in part of how awesome Stewart Copeland is. At any rate, not much else to say other then the multiple times already stated on of how "blah" and forgettable Dry Canyon is.
