Chapter 4

When the Cullen's came home Liz was at the house she was watching a baseball game on the TV and she had a cute baby that looked to be about 5 months old he had black curly hair olive complexion cornflower blue eyes and dimples. Carlisle grabbed his doctors bag and left.

Rosalie smiled and asked "who do you have there?"

Liz said "This is Lucas. He's my son you can hold him if you like."

Rosalie picked up the baby he smiled for her showing off his dimples she said "he looks like Emmett."

Liz said "he looks just like his daddy, maybe a little darker. He gets some of his coloring from me. David does look like the big one only with blue eyes and longer hair. Of course David is human and your big one is not."

Edward said "his name is Emmett and the one holding Lucas is Rosalie. The small female is Alice the older female is Esme. The Blond male is Jasper the older one is Carlisle. I'm Edward and the human is Bella."

Bella said "I need to check on Jacob."

Bella left.

Liz said "it is nice meeting you all I'm Liz and my little boy is Lucas."

Edward said "we want to know about you but Carlisle would be upset if you explained without him being here."

Liz said "we can watch the game until he gets home. I like sports."

There was a diaper bag next to the sofa Liz opened it and pulled out a baby blanket and handed it to Rosalie and said "I don't want him to get cold."

Rosalie wrapped the blanket around the baby he soon feel asleep in her arms.

Rosalie hadn't been so content in a long time. Liz fell asleep on the sofa watching the game.

They woke Liz up when Carlisle came home.

He asked "can you tell us now what you are?"

Liz stretched and said "yes my father is a vampire and my mother was a human. I have three half sisters and one half brother. Just like my sisters I am named after my mother. I have run away from them they want to make Lucas a monster but he isn't like them he is just a baby. He drinks milk not blood or venom. I drink blood and venom when I bite a vampire they burst into flame. Lucas has inherited my ageing it is about half the speed I age he is 6 weeks old. Venom is sweet I don't get much from it but it tastes good. I have a bit of a sweet tooth. I try not to hunt humans if I can help it I usually hunt animals. But it isn't always easy. I'm beat I haven't had any real rest in weeks but if I stay in one place my sisters will find me."

Esme said "you can stay with us we can protect you from your sisters."

Carlisle said "the least you can do is spend the night you can figure things out in the morning."

Esme said "you can sleep in our room. I'll show you the way."

Liz went to Rosalie she asked "do you want to keep him?"

Rosalie said "if you don't mind."

Liz shook her head and said "there are diapers and formula in the bag when he wakes up. Take care of him for me."

Liz followed Esme up to her room.

Liz fell asleep.

The next morning Liz was gone and she left a note. "I could see right away that Rosalie loves Lucas and he really does look just like Emmett. Please keep him safe. If I keep him my sisters will find him and take him from me. Teach him to be a good boy. I have to leave or my sisters will find me. Love him for me. Liz."

Rosalie asked unbelieving "she gave me her son?"

Alice said "it looks that way."

Emmett said "I hope she comes back some day so I can thank her."

Rosalie said "we have a baby."

Esme said "we are going to need baby supplies what is in that bag isn't going to last long."
