Chapter 11
Liz came back and got dressed then went to Bella and Edward's cottage where Esme was watching Lucas and Nessie while they napped.
Liz watched the children sleeping Rosalie came in Liz whispered "I would kill to keep him safe."
Rosalie softly said "he will always have two mothers to protect him."
Liz said "I don't deserve to be called his mother I gave him up."
Rosalie said "You knew I would love him and we would be able to protect him. You gave me the greatest gift anyone could give me. You made me a mother. It is what I always wanted more then anything and he isn't human so it doesn't break our laws."
Liz asked "and Emmett loves him too, even though he isn't his child by blood?"
Rosalie said "yes Emmett loves him too."
Liz smiled and said "good a boy needs a father. Today is my birthday."
Rosalie said "Happy birthday you are officially part of our family. How old are you?"
Liz said "the equivalent of an 18 year old. I'm 6 years old. One more year and I will reach maturity. I will stop aging like the others."
Rosalie said "when this whole mess is over we'll have to throw a party for you. Hopefully Alice and Jasper will be back by then. No one can throw a party like Alice. If we survive it."
Liz said "we have to think positive they will find out Nessie isn't immortal then they will leave without a fight."
Rosalie asked "are you afraid of a fight."
Liz said "with the Volturi yes I am I have heard stories about how strong they are Joham might be a terrible person but he made sure we each understood the laws so the Volturi would never find out about us. He knew that if they knew about us there is a good chance they would kill us. Especially me with my thirst for venom and the way my bite sets vampires on fire. They surely would not let me live."
Rosalie said "it isn't your fault that your bite does that. And that is unique to you not all hybrids have that feature."
Liz said "I know but do you really think they would let any hybrid live if they knew the possibility of being like me. I am going to join the wolves when the Volturi come I don't have much control over my wolf to begin with the likelihood that I would lose control when they show up is pretty great anyway. What are you going to do with Lucas when they show up."
Rosalie said "Jacob arranged it with Emily Young to look after him for a few days. He will bring him to her house on the Evening of the 29th. Then he will pick him up when everything is over. We have all of the paperwork set up if things go badly. But like you said we are thinking positively. He will just spend a few days with Emily and have a good time before coming home. So you think your sisters will come back."
Liz said "it is hard to say Jennifer is the most understanding so she might not tell the others that she found me but Joham probably wont give up looking for me and Serena is a lot like him Maysun can be stubborn and she doesn't like giving up. But you are my family now I'm not going to leave with them if they do come and I am never going to let them take Lucas. You and Emmett are his parents now. Nothing is going to change that."
Rosalie said "he is my son. Thank you for him. I can't stop thanking you for him."
Liz said "I'm just glad that you can love him like your own. He is a special little guy."
Rosalie said "yes he is."
Liz returned to the house Bella asked "are you alright?"
Liz said "yeah it is never easy seeing my sisters but Jennifer is the easiest to deal with. Except maybe for Nahual, my brother but he doesn't live with the rest of the family. He lives with his aunt who is immortal. He doesn't like Joham, our father any more then I do. It is hard to say how many more siblings we would have had if Joham took care of the women he impregnated because he doesn't most die before the baby can be born."
Carlisle said "they are your family."
Liz shook her head and said "No you are my family now. They are just the ones that raised me."
