Preston Ward Condra Ranks All 101 Spyro 1-3 Levels

A project I made when I was 15 years old, during my sophomore year in High School in September 2009. I critiqued and ranked every single level from Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon in, one consolidated project from worst to best. It doesn't matter if you agree with my opinion or not. All that matters, is that this ended up getting finished.

35. 68: Stone Hill

Stone Hill is a level that while I will admit on was a decent level of such to play through in, I have to rank the level low in part of the countdown for thanks to how more unique and original of Spyro levels were as the PS1 series progressed on and how compared to the other Spyro levels out there of today, Stone Hill is very bland and forgettable to them, thanks to how simple and extremely easy of the level is.

Stone Hill does deserve some credit for bringing back nostalgic memories for me as it was the first real main level I played through of the series but, other then of that note in due respect to Stone Hill, it cannot be ranked any higher of what I see from it due to how simple and bland the level is compared to the later levels out there of the franchise.

As of note if you easily tell by just watching the Youtube video gameplay link I posted in for Stone Hill in this write-up, Stone Hill is easily bland and somewhat lifeless out there compared to the much other levels out there of the series, thanks to the main area of gameplay in some sections of Stone Hill taking in place of the level in of a grass field with like say maybe only one yak of such in the level to take out in of sections of the level. I understand it's only in part of a main level from Spyro 1 but, in compared to the other older Spyro 1 levels out there of say like Dark Hollow and Town Square, Stone Hill falls short in compared to them as it didn't offer much and enough gameplay action going for it in of the level and involving the most basic like gameplay elements in of the level but, this is acceptable since it's only the first real main level out there of Spyro 1.

Overall, Stone Hill wasn't a bad level overall. It just falls somewhat overall as a forgettable level out there compared to the more livid and more enjoyable levels out there of the Spyro PS1 Trilogy. Memorable overall in terms of from Spyro 1 but, nowhere near as the best and most entertaining compared of such to the other levels of such from Spyro 2 and 3. Not much else to say. Sorry, Stone Hill. You are a decent level but, there is no denying that these problems causes me to rank you enough fairly low on for my countdown.
