Lilith woke up from the best sleep she had in a year. "Good morning, beautiful." She heard a voice say. "Good morning." She replied , still sleepy.

Her eyes shoot open and she turned her head to see Marcus sitting on the side of the bed. She quickly covered herself and was a blushing mess. "How did you get in my house?!? Why are you here?! You...!" He just chuckled at her reaction .

"Why did you cover up? It's nothing I haven't seen before." She was stuttering. "P-p-pervert." He raised his hands in defense . "What? No, as much as I would like to see that, no. Look at what you're wearing."

She uncovers herself to see her coven's head uniform on. How bad was last night? She let out a sigh of relief. "How did you get in my house?"

" you left the front door open. " He said with notable concern in his voice. "Is everything ok? I mean, you were saying my name in your sleep." Lilith looked at him to see a blush growing. A sudden realization came to her. He actually was attracted to her.

"So , why are you here? " she managed to regain her composure. "Long version or short version?"

Lilith's day off was today, so she had enough time to hear everything . Then again, today was lilith's day off. She wanted to relax. "Short version."

" you brought me food when I was in prison, so I made you breakfast. " He laid down in the bed as she got up and walked to the dining room. "Your bed is amazing. I would love to cuddle in this." He wasn't quiet. She heard him.

The table was set. Muffins, toast, pancakes, and cereal. She was astonished to see some human foods as well mixed into the spread. Is this what it's like to have a stay at home husband? She shook her head at the thought. She really thought too far ahead.

She ate her full and returned to see Marcus laying in her bed. "Get out." He gets up and says. " what is in the schedule for today, most beautiful coven head? Are we doing an inspection? Paperwork? Training the next generation? Preparing your replacement so you can retire and we can get married? "

He stopped talking. He stated off into the distance. "Nevermind. Forget that last one. *sigh* " something bothered him. He then snapped back to happy. "I am spending the day with you. What are we gonna do today."

She shoves him out of her bedroom and shuts the door. "Today is my day off." She said through the door. Their was silence mostly because she was changing. " Okay. So no business meetings and instead fun and relaxing day. Got it."

She opened the door and she was wearing the same thing that she wore before. He was staring at her for obvious reasons. She was beautiful. Her eyes that matched her gem. Her dark gown that made bright colors pop. He was fascinated with her. They were in a staring contest for a little while. He was an inch taller than her that was it.

She spoke up with a single word. "What?" He then snapped out it. He walked into the room once again and opened the closet. 14 of the same gown on hangers. He tried to find something, anything, else. He signed in defeat. "I'm a guy. So I understand and follow the if it ain't broke don't fix it rule. But this is ridiculous."

He was criticizing her wardrobe. A man was going through her clothes. A young man was in her house. A strong, fit man was in her bedroom. He blush intensified with each thought. I wonder how...

"You ain't never had a friend like me." He pulls her to face a mirror. " Now, let's say you are going on a date to a fancy, high class restaurant. What would you wear? " he pulls a cane out from his pocket... How did a cane come out of his pocket?

"I would wear this. Formal wear for any occasion." She was checking herself in the mirror . She didn't want to mess anything up. "Wrong. You want to show off. You want him to know that you think he is special to you." He extends his cane in front of her. She watches as the cane lowers. A dress that matches the color of her eyes. A solid teal-ish, strapless dress. It hugged her body in all the right ways. She ran her hand down her dress. A cut in the dress was present for easy movement. She was blushing at how beautiful he made her without doing anything.

Marcus had a nosebleed. With his magic he could make anything for a short period of time. The outfit he put her in was not the one he planned. He won't complain though. Ever. "Today is your day off and you were going to wear the same thing you wear every day. You are relaxing. Take a break. Find a good tree to lean on and read a nice book type of day. Now, the temperature of the boiling isles is the equivalent to the human realm's season of fall. So... "

He lifted his cane up again and as it lowered, her dress was replaced my a simple sweater and jeans. "Simple, but effective. This outfit is rather comfortable. " the sweater was soft and warm. She liked to leave Windows open in her house, this was good for her. Marcus was cleaning up and heading out the door.

"Where are you going?" She asked, not exactly wanting this encounter to end. "I know the perfect place to read. I went there when we finished our talks. Come on. Grab a book and follow me." Being the secret history nerd that she is, she grabbed the history of magic. It was an old book. Written before the emperor's reign. It was so old that she had to put up some collateral in case she broke it. With the way work has been. She hasn't even opened it yet.

She watched Marcus as he took his crystal of his necklace. It grew to the size of his head. She watched in awe as a branch appeared and twisted itself around the jewel and descended to the ground. A staff is what was around his neck, hidden from view. "Follow me." He said with a chuckle and flew away.

They flew together to a single tree on top of a hill overlooking the boiling isles. His staff turned back into a tiny crystal. She sat down and looked at the whole town of bones borough. (I don't know if I spelt it right) she took a deep breath and opened the book.

"The four major clans protect our lands. Morningstar. Raven. Ochre. And Darkmoon. " she read aloud and with wide eyes looked up to see Marcus setting up a picnic. He looked up and said "keep reading. "

She was still getting over the fact that Marcus Morningstar 's clan was mentioned. But she kept reading.

"I write to keep record of these families. All except the Morningstar clan. They have chosen to stay behind in the human realm. -what?" She once again turned to him , hoping for an answer. It was his turn to be shocked. He walked up to her and sat beside her. "Who wrote this?"

" Idris Darkmoon." She was confused. Why was he so worked up? "The Morningstar clan stayed behind after the Fall to make sure everyone else went to the Boiling isles. My family were the only ones with 24 hour access to the library. They chose to protect it because they couldn't bring it with them."

" the Fall? " She looked at him with worry and curiosity. The turned to meet her face. They were to enthralled in the book to realize that they were way to close. "The Fall of magic." Her breath went shallow and all she could do was swallow the lump forming in her throat. "Keep going." He whispered.

" We have discovered the boiling isles to be more prosperous since our predecessors were last here. Which is to be expected, 200 years have passed since then. We have decided to mix with the population. Much like Merlin did when he came to the realm of humans. We will continue our work. I believe we have new things to research. "

She closed the book. "They all faded out of existence. I haven't found anyone from the Clans. At least they didn't stop learning." Marcus said as he looked at the town. " I'm the last one that can actually do magic. After the Fall, the Morningstar's became merchants, pirates, scholars. Their magic evolved but also disappeared. Their bodies mutated so that their children had the power, just couldn't use it. " He got up and stretched.

She wanted to learn more from him. How could a young man know more than her? His brain was a wonder. Was she just fascinated? Or was She attracted? "What are you going to do now?" She asked him.

" Well, my apprentice needs training. Monsters need to be hunted before hunting season begins. I should definitely spend more time with my sister before I die. Maybe I can take you out to dinner? " he said cracking a smile.

She chuckled. " I'd like that. " his smile grew wider. "I'll call you. Until then, good night." He jumped and disappeared into the darkness.

At Lilith's house she turned on the bedroom light. She saw to dress from before laying across her bed with a card in top.

A beautiful dress for a beautiful woman. Who knows, you might need it.

She chuckled at this. A blush was rising on her face. Underneath the dress was a book with another card in top of it. The Princess Bride

I noticed you only have history books on your shelf. I hope you like it.

She let out a small laugh. The question was answered. She couldn't deny it anymore. She is attracted to him.
