At the point in the countdown we move away from levels that I found to be just merely average and okay to play through to levels that I found to be overall decently enjoyable for what they were from the series to play through and what way better to start this section of in the countdown with the very first level of the franchise that started the franchise off for what it was from over a decade ago with the Artisans homeworld?
The Artisans homeworld was great for starting out the basic gameplay functions and controls of how Spyro 1 felt and did a great job of such for bringing in a great future of the more in depth gameplay to follow for the remaining other two classic PS1 games out there of the franchise. However of such because of these great memories and great ways of starting the series off with, why do I have this level ranked somewhat low on the countdown?
While Artisans Home is a level don't to be taken seriously as a full level, a level is level in of this countdown and in compared to it's better and unique designed homeworld levels out there of say from Spyro 2, 3 and even of such of others from Spyro 1, the Artisans Home level suffers from just learning the real basic gameplay elements out there of the series and nothing else with no real depth going for it. Sure, this is understandable since it's the FIRST REAL left out there of the classic PS1 franchise, as now that I am older and as such comparing to it when I was younger, I felt like there could of likely been more gameplay elements going in for the Artisans homeworld to make it seem even better then just above average all around for what I think and see of the homeworld. More then 100 gems to collect would have been nice also but, you can't have everything.
Still, I can get behind those flaws in compared to the more later levels out of the franchise and give praise overall for Artisans Home for being a decent level from start to finish it for what it was worth for back in the day and still holding up decently well despite of the real first level of the franchise being more then a decade old. The Artisans Home gets what it gets and it's simply overall a decent above average level out there. Nothing more and nothing less to speak of.
