Maria's POV
Although it's only been 2 weeks Maria has made all the children a set of play clothes and a few outfits for herself. During breakfast all the children except Louisa has trusted Maria completely and absolutely adore her. Kurt said "I'm just glad we don't have to listen to signals anymore".
Marta said "And not wear ugly uniforms".
Louisa said "And what do you think father will say or do when we're not answering our signals or wearing our uniforms!"
Liesl said "Louisa do you have to ruin the fun while we can have it".
Louisa said "We're supposed to get rid of her! Remember".
Brigitta said "Louisa we agreed we'd trust her until she gave us a reason not to".
Kurt said "And she hasn't".
Louisa said "You guys agreed but I didn't agree to anything and I never will. Don't you guys see. The longer she's here the longer father will stay in Vienna!" Maria thought she wants the captain's attention just like all of them.
Louisa said "I'm not hungry" and left.
Brigitta said "Sorry about her she doesn't trust anyone".
Liesl said "That's probably my fault. You see when mother died, we were miserable but Louisa had positive thoughts and always reassuring us we still have father but soon father started changing. I told Louisa it's better to trust no one then trust 1 person and they break your trust. If you want, I can talk to her?"
Maria said "It'll be better if I spoke to her. Excuse me children" and left.
When Maria got to Louisa's room, she realized the door was ajar and saw Louisa lying on her bed with a pillow over her face. Maria knocked on the door. Louisa yelled "Go away!"
Maria pushed the door open and walked in. Louisa said "I said go away!" through sobs.
Maria said "Louisa".
Louisa turned around and Maria noticed Louisa had tears streaming down her face. Maria said "I understand why you don't want me here".
Louisa said "No you don't! Now leave me alone!"
Maria said "Louisa I do understand".
Louisa said "How could you!?"
Maria said "Because it was worst for me. I lost my mother at a very young age and all I had was my father, soon after my father was taken from me as well. I was sent to live with my cruel uncle David and everything I did was wrong in his eyes because I did a lot of things like my mother did and according to my father, I looked just like my mother just younger".
Louisa said "But father doesn't know what we do because he's always in Vienna avoiding us".
Maria said "Tell me Louisa do you like wearing uniforms or being whistled for?"
Louisa said "No, I guess not. Tell me fraulien was your mother fun?"
Maria said "I don't remember her. Why do you ask?"
Louisa thought I can't help but like fraulien. Louisa said "Because I heard what Brigitta and Liesl were talking about how you kept them busy while you made their clothes and it sounded like fun. How did you get everyone to trust you so fast?"
Maria said "A thunderstorm the night I arrived they were scared and I told them to think about things they like, well not Liesl she was doing something else and I kept her secret".
Louisa asked "You mean like memories".
Maria said "Anything for example".

Louisa wiped her eyes. Louisa said "I like mittens too".
Maria said "See you look happier already".
Louisa asked "Who taught you that song?"
Maria said "I don't know I guess I always knew it".
Louisa said "I guess I can give you a chance".
Maria said "Good because we're going somewhere".
Louisa asked "Where?"
Maria said "Why don't you come back downstairs and eat breakfast? Then you'll see".
Louisa said "Alright" and they went back downstairs.
Brigitta's POV
Fraulien said "Now that we're ready I just need to get 1 thing from the kitchen and we'll be set".
Fraulien Maria came back with a picnic basket. Liesl asked "Are we going on a picnic?"
Fraulien said "Perhaps".
Frederich asked "Should I bring a ball?"
Fraulien said "Sure".
When we got to the bus stop, Brigitta asked "Where are we going?"
Fraulien said "You'll see. Today we're going multiple places today".
Kurt asked "Where?"
Fraulien said "That would ruin the surprise".
Louisa asked "At least a hint?"
Fraulien said "I shall give nothing away".
Brigitta asked "Is it in walking distance?"
Fraulien said "Yes and that's all you're getting out of me".
After walking about 10 minutes, fraulien said "Okay we're here".
Liesl said "We're at a well".
Fraulien said "Not any well the oldest well in Saltzburg. I use to come here as a child and my father told we this was a wishing well".
Marta asked "How do you make a wish?"
Liesl said "With a coin you through it in".

After fraulien finished the children clapped. Gretl asked "Can I make a wish?"
Fraulien said "Of course. I think I've got a coin" and gave Gretl a coin.
Gretl said "It echoed back!"
Fraulien said "That means it'll come true".
And the children and their fraulien they've grown to love continued on their outing.
Maria's POV
Maria said "Come on children".
Marta asked "Can we come back tomorrow?"
Maria said "Maybe".
The children and Maria made their way to the bus stop. Kurt asked "Fraulien Maria can we eat now?"
Fraulien said "Not yet Kurt".
Liesl staring across the street while everyone was chattering didn't go unnoticed to Maria or Brigitta. Gretl said "Fraulien Maria Kurt stole a strawberry".
Maria said "Kurt, I'll take that basket".
Maria heard Liesl say "Would you like to go on a picnic with me?"
Maria saw Liesl across the street. Maria said "Children stay here" and started walking across the street.
Liesl said "Oh no she's not my governess".
Maria said "Good evening I don't think we've met".
Liesl said "Oh fraulien Maria this is Rolfe and this is fraulien Maria".
Maria said "How do you do?"
Rolfe said "How do you do? I assume you're Liesl's governess".
Liesl's pleading eyes didn't go unnoticed to Maria. Maria said "Oh this young woman doesn't need a governess. I'm the governess to Liesl's younger siblings. I asked Liesl to help me with the children today".
Liesl asked "So, Rolfe will you come on a picnic with me?"
Rolfe said "Picnics are for children which you obviously are. I think I'll stick to doing more age-appropriate things".
Maria said "You must be an only child".
Rolfe asked "And why would you say that?"
Maria said "Because usually the eldest child helps out with the younger ones".
Rolfe awkwardly said "Oh um, I should be going. Good day ladies". Liesl sighed as Rolfe rode away on his bike.
Maria said "Liesl your brother and sisters and their governess insist you accompany them on this outing".
Liesl smiled and said "I'd love to" and they walked back to the bus stop.
Maria asked "Are you alright Liesl".
Liesl said "I've been better".
Gretl said "The bus is here".
When they got off the bus, Maria said "Now we walk".
Kurt asked "Where?"
Maria said "There".
Brigitta asked "To the mountains?"
Maria said "Yes".
Marta said "Fraulien Maria loves mountains it's one of her favorite things" and they began walking.
When they were settled, Frederich & Kurt were playing catch, Louisa was trying to catch a flying bug, Brigitta was reading a book, Marta and Gretl were picking flowers and Liesl looked lost in thought. Maria had no doubt that Liesl was thinking about Rolfe.
Maria said "Alright everyone time to eat". Kurt was the first one over.
Louisa asked "Can we do this everyday fraulien?"
Maria said "You get tired of taking to buses and a half a mile walk".
Louisa said "I guess so".
Brigitta asked "What about every other day?"
Maria said "That's a possibility".
Frederich said "I haven't had this much run since the day we put glue in fraulien Amy's slippers".
Maria said "I still don't understand children as sweet as you can play such awful jokes".
Louisa said "It's easy".
Maria asked "But why do it?"
Liesl said "Well how else can we get father to come home".
Maria said "Oh I see. You do it to see your father".
Brigitta said "Yes".
Maria said "I have an idea".
Brigitta and Louisa asked "What?"
Maria said "Let me teach you a song to sing as a welcome for the baroness".

Maria said "Really?" Maria thought who could not love music or singing?
Liesl said "Not since mother passed but before he was a great singer".

Kurt said "We don't know any".
Maria said "Not even one song".
Brigitta said "We don't even know how to sing".
Maria said "Well we've wasted enough time you must learn immediately".

Elsa's POV
Georg has been in Vienna for almost 2 weeks worrying why frau Schnidt didn't call him. Elsa was standing next to Georg talking about a ball coming up. Elsa could tell Georg wasn't listening. Elsa said "Georg are you listening to me?"
Georg said "Huh?" As usual Elsa was right.
What Elsa didn't know was that Georg's thoughts were preoccupied by a certain governess. What brought Georg back to reality was when Elsa asked "Georg are you alright?"
Georg realized he was staring at a woman with the same color hair as fraulien's. Georg said "Yeah, I just need a drink".
Elsa said "I can agree with that before the waltz starts".
Georg said "On second thought I think air will do me good".
Elsa said "Don't be long the waltz will start soon".
Georg said "Alright" and left.
Elsa began talking to Hienrich Aigner and his future bride Bettina. As soon as Elsa saw Georg, she knew he was here but his mind was somewhere else. Elsa walked over and said "How about that drink you promised me?"
Georg said "Alright".
On their way to the drinks, Sascha said "Captain come settle something for Max and I. Now who always comes out on top at the Saltzburg festival?"
Max said "The only time you come out on top is when you steal one, I was trying to get".
Sascha said "Just because you take too long to get them first that doesn't mean I stole them first".
Max said "I don't steal I offer and you are the exact thing I hate which is a thief".
Georg said "I'm going to get a drink while you kids argue. Elsa care to join me?"
Elsa said "I'd love to" and they walked away.
When they were by the drinks, Elsa asked "So, what's troubling you darling?" Georg thought A beautiful woman.
Georg said "Nothing darling".
Elsa said "It must be something you're a million miles away".
Georg said "I hired the first governess I could get and I can't help but feel like I made a mistake".
Elsa said "Darling there must be some reason why you hired her".
Georg said "Yes because I needed a governess not a governess who broke a rule on her first night".
Elsa said "Georg I think you're overreacting; you've been here 2 weeks that's the longest you've ever been here".
Georg said "That's what I'm worried about I usually get a call by now".
Elsa said "Darling I'm sure if something was wrong frau Schmidt would call. Come dance darling" and held out her hand.
Georg didn't realize he took her hand he only noticed when he and Elsa were waltzing.
Hours later Elsa and Georg dropped Max off at a hotel and drove to Elsa's house. Georg said "I'm going to use the phone".
Elsa said "Darling I'm sure if anything was wrong someone would call".
Georg said "Maybe your right". Georg thought What if I call and she answers?
Elsa said "Let go to bed" and they walked to the master bedroom.
When they got in bed Elsa said "Lara Mach has such a temper".
Georg said "You want to talk about that now?"
Elsa said "No I just want some company with no disturbances" and gave Georg a kiss.
Georg returned it out of habit mean while Georg thoughts were not with him. Elsa pulled Georg on top of her. Georg thought maybe this is what I need to get her off my mind.
Elsa noticed that Georg took charge and although she knows she'll never love him the way she loved her husband he's a great companion. Elsa said "I understand why Max thinks we need a chaperone".
With lots of kisses Georg realized he felt nothing but lust around Elsa but Georg wasn't the only one feeling lustful, Elsa also felt the same lust for Georg. Elsa pushed Georg off and asked "What did you just call me?"
Georg said "I don't know".
Elsa said "Think!"
Georg said "I don't know, how do I know what I called you?"
Elsa said "You called my darling; you called me your love and something else".
Georg had no idea what he called Elsa but he knew who he was thinking about. Georg said "I said you're wonderful".
Elsa said "You called me something else. A name".
Georg said "A name?"
Elsa said "Maria".
Georg said "What!"
Elsa said "You called me Maria".
Georg couldn't believe it, he wouldn't after all he barely knows Maria. Georg said "What! No I didn't!"
Elsa said "Yes you did!"
Georg asked "Why would I call you Maria?!"
Elsa said "I don't know do you know a Maria?"
Georg said "No!" Georg didn't know why he lied or why he wasn't being honest.
Elsa said "You don't?"
Georg said "No!" but mainly to himself.
Elsa said "Darling, I'm sorry. I am" and pulled Georg on her once again.
Georg quickly pulled back and said "I can't do this'.
Elsa asked "Why?"
Georg said "I'm not feeling myself tonight and I'm tired".
Elsa said "Alright".
Georg said "I think I'll sleep in the guestroom".
Georg left a puzzled Elsa with 2 thoughts who's Maria? And why is he sleeping in the guestroom instead of here with her.
Author's note. I hope readers don't mind me switching up Do Re Mi. The scene with Liesl and Rolfe was an actual deleted scene from the movie. Just because the scene is deleted I do not own The part from Elsa's POV where the captain calls her Maria, I got that from Darling Lili another Julie Andrews movie.
