"She rode in on that?!" Peridot asks in alarm as she inspects the injector.
"Yeah. She said my human half wouldn't stand a chance against her Injector." Steven says as Alexis is watching Spinel.
"What does that mean?" Lapis asks confusedly.
"Why don't we just ask her?" Peridot asks.
"What are you? How are you able to do that?" Spinel asks as she sees Alexis shift to wolf form.
"Oh well I'm a wolf shifter. I can turn into a wolf. I don't really understand how. I've been able to do this since I was born." Alexis says.
"That is so cool. Let me try. How do I look?" Spinel says as she twists her body to look like a makeshift wolf.
"You look uh great." Alexis says in surprise as she stifles back a little laughter.
"It's okay. You can laugh. I love it seeing people laugh." Spinel says happily.
"Well you looking that way is kinda cute and funny." Alexis says as she laughs causing Spinel to smile and blush slightly.
"Well here's the thing- Hmm? What? Where'd she- Aah!" Steven shouts in alarm as Spinel startles him.
"Surprise!" Spinel says happily as she laughs.
"Here she is... My new best friend Spinel." Steven says as Spinel makes a dramatic bow.
"A pleasure to meet you all." Spinel says.
"I thought you said she was just trying to kill you." Bismuth asks.
"Wow. Quick turnaround." Lapis says as Alexis nods.
"No kidding. It took me months to stop trying to kill Steven." Peridot says.
"I say it took me a day- day and a half?" Bismuth says.
"I'm still on the fence." Lapis says as she, Bismuth and Peridot laugh.
"Alright let's see this thing she hit you with." Peridot says.
"Uh right." Steven says as he holds out the weapon and gives it to Peridot.
"Whoa. Was there like uh a laser or-" Peridot says as she nearly activates the weapon before Bismuth snatches it from her.
"Be careful with that! It's a Rejuvenator. Homeworld used to use these things on Gems that started steppin' out of line. One hit with this... You're back to how they made you." Bismuth says as she reluctantly activates and deactivates the weapon.
"What are you lookin' at?" Ruby ask as Bismuth looks at her and Sapphire.
"Oh my stars! I touched it! I could have lost all my character development! Wait. How did you survive being hit by that thing Steven?" Peridot asks in alarm.
"It could be your human side Steven." Alexis says as she looks at Steven.
"I- I think I didn't. My human half kept me from poofing but- but my Gem half it took the hit! She sent me back. It's like I'm a kid again! I can barely control my powers! How do we reverse this? Oh no... Do I need to get the Diamonds?" Steven asks worriedly as Bismuth hands him back the weapon.
"Steven calm yourself. We'll figure this out." Alexis says.
"You're the one with healing powers. If anyone can fix this it's you." Lapis says.
"I can't believe this. For the first time in years everyone's in danger. Everybody needs me and I'm useless! Bismuth what do we do?" Steven asks worriedly.
"I'm sorry Steven. I don't know." Bismuth says as Steven then looks at Ruby and Sapphire.
"Garnet would know what to do. Garnet always knows what to do..." Steven says sadly.
"Hey don't be sad." Spinel says as she tries to cheer Steven up to no avail before the others quickly cheer him up.
"Right! Okay let's put our heads together. There's gotta be some way to make them remember." Steven says.
"What if it's like a puzzle?" Spinel asks.
"Huh?" Steven asks curiously.
"If we give 'em all the pieces eventually they'll get the picture!" Spinel says.
"Wow Spinel. That's actually pretty smart. You might just be right." Alexis says.
"Thank you!" Spinel says as she playfully smiles causing Alexis to smile at her.
"If every experience they lost is a-a piece of who they are we just have to give them back all the pieces. One experience at a time!" Steven says.
"Are you serious?" Lapis asks.
"That could take forever!" Peridot says.
"Exactly so let's get started!" Steven says.
