Here at long last we have our final homeworld level of such from all three Spyro PS1 games appearing in of the countdown, Winter Tundra from Spyro 2. There are multiple great reasons of such of what I feel personally so with of having Winter Tundra ranked in as the homeworld level of such from all three Spyro PS1 games.
There was no denying the fact of how Winter Tundra was a breathtaking beautiful work of art for a homeworld level with a beautiful sense of calm nature to the level unlike any other Spyro PS1 level out there in the entire franchise with just as beautiful sweet song that plays in for Winter Tundra and another reason of such on how more of a god Mr. Copeland is for video game music. I cannot think of any other main level of such from any Spyro PS1 level out there in this classic franchise that can hold up to being just as beautiful it is in terms of both the level design and presentation of so to Winter Tundra. Winter Tundra nailed both elements well in and were great for the player to take in.
Both of such are two main gameplay functions first taking main in place of Winter Tundra that would later more of a very fun and important role for other levels to follow in of this franchise and that included the Headbash move you learn in of this level and for the first time in for the series. The Headbash mechanic of Winter Tundra was fun and enjoyable to take in and for helping more so for the main gameplay of levels for the Spyro PS1 levels to be different and unique in unlike so for any other platforming franchise out there for it's time.
I also loved that while there wasn't much to do and explore in of Winter Tundra compared so to Autumn Plains, the level had charm within of the level design where the player would have some form of random entertainment to see and do in of the level such as taking down underneath the secret waterfall of Winter Tundra and so on and so forth. I could go on and go but overall as a whole for these reasons I stated for, Winter Tundra was easily by far my favorite homeworld level of such from all three Spyro PS1 games thanks to just how fun the homeworld level is and how the main gameplay action of Winter Tundra never feels boring of so in the level like of the Spyro 3 homeworlds. Winter Tundra was a majestic and wonderful level and as such earns it a spot in my countdown in the top 2/5 section of levels in my countdown.
The only thing holding Winter Tundra back from being ranked any higher is that while so I stated in for my Dream Wavers write-up, all of the main homeworld levels I felt never were shown the full potential of better level design going in them compared to their main levels of such from the franchise as a whole. Still, Winter Tundra was a great level overall of such fitting well and enjoyable in to the series in. Not much else to say other then how more I can go on with Winter Tundra being a very fun level.
