Preston Ward Condra Ranks All 101 Spyro 1-3 Levels

A project I made when I was 15 years old, during my sophomore year in High School in September 2009. I critiqued and ranked every single level from Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon in, one consolidated project from worst to best. It doesn't matter if you agree with my opinion or not. All that matters, is that this ended up getting finished.

65. 38: Idol Springs

Here we have yet another Spyro 2 level appearing in of the countdown, Idol Springs. Idol Springs was simply put, a great level with nothing really bad to talk about. From Idol Springs being the first real level in the series to involve around swimming underwater in which not only played a very fun role in of this level but, for other levels to follow in of this classic franchise. Great presentation in of Idol Springs also nails it of why I have it ranked in this high in of the countdown. Great level and while it's not quite the best out there from this franchise, it's definitely a fine, solid and most importantly very fun level, IMO.

Like I stated earlier, Idol Springs was the first real level in of this series to start around getting and mixing with the water like gameplay effects of the level for the player to take in part of in from swimming underwater and collecting gems in this way to having random fun swimming around in the pond with the colored fishes at the start of the level. The swimming gameplay mechanic I found in from it being included in of Spyro 2 and 3, were great fun and a nice touch to the gameplay as it allows more variety to be shown and perform to do for levels to take in part of it and this is why I have such from when I was younger and still to this day, why I find Idol Springs to be a great level overall to so to the series.

Another element I liked from Idol Springs was much so was a decent enough of exploration you could take Spyro in of the level such as reaching near the left end section of the level to take in part of a supercharge mini-game with the Hula girls of the level to collecting the main hard and the rest of the gems in of Idol Springs also with setting open the big locked metal treasure chest in of the level. Thanks to the unique style, presentation and simple but, very fun main gameplay for the player to take in part of in Idol Springs easily nails it a fairly high spot of so in my countdown.

Idol Springs was a great level from beginning to end to play through in. Not much else to say.
