Preston Ward Condra Ranks All 101 Spyro 1-3 Levels

A project I made when I was 15 years old, during my sophomore year in High School in September 2009. I critiqued and ranked every single level from Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon in, one consolidated project from worst to best. It doesn't matter if you agree with my opinion or not. All that matters, is that this ended up getting finished.

74. 29: Molten Crater

Much like in for previous write-ups I stated in for my countdown, these remaining levels rank left to rank in of my countdown rank fairly so high in of my countdown because of just overall how unique, original and cool it is and this case continues as Molten Crater from Spyro 3 is no different.

Molten Crater was a great level overall thanks to fairly high amount of variety the player could take in part of in for this level such as from chasing dragon egg thief's around a supercharge section of the level where you must put your true skills to the test to playing out as Sgt. Byrd and playing out a fun but, yet also challenging game of hide and seek. There were other options in of such for Molten Crater that also make it unique and the like unlike any other Spyro PS1 level out there such as using your skills once more to the test and careful collecting any remaining treasure near the end portal of the level where lava abounds around the entire area.

There is also more to Molten Crater rather then in of the main gameplay of this level and that is with the just as great presentation and design of the level it is to the main gameplay of the level. Molten Crater was a great level that flowed well within the main gameplay design of it. Nothing felt cheap and annoying in of Molten Crater which is such most of the Spyro 3 levels suffered from for being ranked low in of my countdown.

The main presentation of Molten Crater was also unique to me as just like magic, water and ice like levels, I have a heart and passion for lava like levels of such like Molten Crater and it was a nice level to enjoying looking at from the small lava effects of the level to the breathtaking beautiful evening tone of the level.

If it wasn't for the fact that I have one slight nitpicking problem with the level which, I really do not to discuss on since I am sure people of the like will hate about it for me ranking it not higher on the countdown, Molten Crater would easily be higher in my books. Still, Molten Crater while not super fantastic like the so Top 20 Spyro PS1 levels out there left to rank in of the countdown, Molten Crater was a great level overall in my books and being ranked higher then most of the Spyro 3 levels in of the countdown doesn't hurt either right? Overall, great level.
