Here we have one of the more dynamic and entertaining later levels of such from Spyro 2, Mystic Marsh. Mystic Marsh was a superb level overall thanks to how original the main level design is and how variety strikes high in of this level unlike of such for the later Spyro 2 levels out there where I found to be fairly disappointing and boring to play through for my taste like Robotica Farms and Cloud Temples. The main gameplay action of Mystic Marsh is kept high and unique and as such makes the player entertained from beginning to end of such for the level. Not much of anything bad to say for Mystic Marsh much like for the remaining there are left to rank in of the countdown. Mystic Marsh was an awesome level, IMO.
One of the best elements that I loved from Mystic Marsh and why of so I have it ranked high in of my countdown is how unique the level is. For just speaking of the enemies you come across in of this level, are some of the entertaining and challenging enemies to take out for in from all three Spyro PS1 games. These enemies include the monkeys that hide in of the trees of this level that love to take you down with coconuts and giant elephants that love to take down your behind as soon as they get even one keen eye on Spyro.
While some may feel like this would make for a fairly cheap level of such, I felt nothing of note in terms of the main design of the level felt cheap as for the most sections of the level, the enemies were separated into different locations of the level preventing cheap gameplay from ever occurring that much in Mystic Marsh. Also, who doesn't love playing through a challenging level here and there from any video game? Mystic Marsh was a fantastic level for bringing challenging yet at the same time, very fun gameplay dynamics to every type of Spyro PS1 fan out there.
Another fun element I loved from Mystic Marsh is with how large and fun it is to explore in of the main level design of such in this level. You can tackle a variety of tasks in of Mystic Marsh such as taking out the seal like enemies in the stream mist of Mystic Marsh to helping out with a mini-game to help the Professor find his pencil and so and so forth. These goals were fun to perform in of Mystic Marsh and never felt tedious or boring ever in my book for every time I play through of Spyro 2 with Mystic Marsh.
Thanks to the high amount of variety and challenge there is of this level, easily nails Mystic Marsh a fairly high ranking of such for a level in my countdown. Great level with nothing of note to say bad for and remains as what a level should be like and enjoyable with much like there is for the remaining 20 or so Spyro PS1 levels there are left to rank in the countdown that are just as enjoyable and fun as Mystic Marsh.
