Here we have the fourth, final and my personal favorite extra of the like character level the player could take control of in from Spyro 3 appearing in of the countdown, Sgt. Byrd's Base. I simply loved and found Sgt. Byrd to be my personal favorite character of the bunch of the four characters you could control in of Spyro 3 thanks to how well he controlled, how unique he was to combat and to the main unique level design for each and every section he was playable in including his main level and how for his level we are speaking of, was fun and nicely varied and large where I never found myself getting bored with of such to Sgt. Byrd. As a whole level to that of the series, Sgt. Byrd's Base was an excellent level and an excellent level overall for the player getting used to the main gameplay actions of Sgt. Byrd.
How and why I have Sgt. Byrd's Base ranked in as the best of the four extra character like levels from Spyro 3 is that, I felt that everything out that were problems from Sheila's Alp, Bentley's Outpost and Agent 9's Lab were fixed in of the main level design of Sgt. Byrd's Base, made better and made up for a perfect level of the like for an extra character to control. This includes Sgt. Byrd controlling great where I never encountered once where I had a trouble controlling with him and how enjoyable it was to control the little guy such as him having the ability to fly and the player able to explore the full potential of the like of the level in of Sgt. Byrd's Base.
Speaking of level design, I felt Sgt. Byrd was for sections in for not only his level but, for every section he was playable in was fun, clever, original and never boring. The main mechanic that sticks out for Sgt. Byrd that makes him a great character was how interacted well in of the level design of his level. By pressing down on the X button and at the same time while pressing the O button, you could control Sgt. Byrd by flying and firing attacks at the same time and this concept was very fun in the like to enjoy from as it played a unique design to that of the level without nothing of note of any cheap play by enemies occurring of the level. It flowed very well within from start to finish of the level and I felt nothing bad whatsoever stood in for Sgt. Byrd as a character and for his level overall, IMO.
There was also more on Sgt. Byrd's character that I liked from him unlike somewhat of the other three extra characters from Spyro 3 and that included with the player allowing James Byrd to pick up missiles by his feet and able to aim well in for things that were unbreakable with just his rockets like locked away treasure chests. This mechanic also controlled well in of the main design of the level adding more points as to why I really liked Sgt. Byrd's Base overall.
Overall, Sgt Byrd's Base was a very fun level in my books with nothing of note bad to say for and ranks this how simply because of how complex, challenging and yet unique at the same time from start to finish of the main level design of this level. As such, earns it a high placement on my countdown.
