Preston Ward Condra Ranks All 101 Spyro 1-3 Levels

A project I made when I was 15 years old, during my sophomore year in High School in September 2009. I critiqued and ranked every single level from Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon in, one consolidated project from worst to best. It doesn't matter if you agree with my opinion or not. All that matters, is that this ended up getting finished.

82. 21: Wizard Peak

Here nearing missing out on making the Top 20 of such Spyro PS1 levels in my countdown is one of the best levels overall from this entire classic franchise with the best sense of style and presentation out there, Wizard Peak. Wizard Peak overall to me much like other levels that ranked in of this section of the countdown, was a fantastic level overall thanks to how fairly challenging and creative the main level design is, how dynamically fun it is to explore the main full level of the like of Wizard Peak and so on and so forth. What's been said by fans out there from this franchise that have already stated on how superb of a level Wizard Peak is, can be said in for my write-up for this amazing level overall.

Easily one of the best mechanics that I found to be enjoyable from Wizard Peak to being of a great level and why I have it ranked highly in of my countdown is how well is focuses on the player using supercharge like gameplay mechanics in many unique and creative ways for the player to use in of Wizard Peak. These include following certain supercharge patterns to remember by for the player to use to reach far away treasure hidden of the level and so on and so forth. This never comes away as an afterthought as these sections of the level to use for the supercharge in to finish Wizard Peak in are clever and a nice challenging change of pace out there unlike of most of the other Spyro levels out there from the series.

Another gameplay element that I really loved from Wizard Peak is how creative of a level at the time it was to the series. Wizard Peak was the first real level out there from this series in general to focus more on hidden depth gameplay action out there. Unlike in of the earlier levels out there from Spyro 1, Wizard Peak was a level involving even the most expert like Spyro fan out there having some of difficult problem in the process and this is not done in any cheap way or matter of any kind of the level. It's nice for a level to include something unique out there to be important in for the later levels out there for Spyro 2 and 3 and Wizard Peak did a great job so like this with some of the most entertaining like gameplay I have ever played from any Spyro level out there.

Regardless for not being ranked #1 in of my countdown, Wizard Peak was an amazing level overall with absoluetly nothing of note bad sticking out of the level in some shape or form much like so for the remaining 20 levels there are left to rank in of the countdown. Very fun level out there and much like the remaining 20 levels out there from this great franchise, is an instant classic level out there from ANY Video Game I played in my entire life and easily brings back classic memories of the like out there for me when I was gamer playing through of this series when I was younger.
