If there are other levels out there in from all three Spyro PS1 games where it is easy for me to fall in love with other then of the Snow / Ice levels, it's the Underwater levels from this classic franchise. Unlike from most video games out there where the water like stages / levels are a pain in the rear to play in ala the Zelda series, the Spyro PS1 games remain as one of the very few franchises out there where I find it fun to take in part of being underwater in. Everything from the controls to the nice amount of gameplay you could undercover even when you were underwater flowed well in for these types of levels in the series and this holds true with the like of Seashell Shore from Spyro 3.
Every type of element that came in play for the player to take in part of in from going in-land for a few moments in of this level to heading underwater flowed well in the gameplay and not only helped making it one of the more unique levels out there from the franchise but, one of the most fun overall from this series. Seashell Shore remains as a true classic of a level.
Variety plays a big factor on how enjoyable the levels can get for these levels from all three Spyro PS1 games and for Seashell Shore, this held true. There so many things to see, perform and do in of the level that you are never going to be doing the same task or goal over and over again no matter how times you go playing in of the level.
You can take in part of starting the level off clearing away enemies in your path rushing through to having random fun just swimming in the underwater like sections of Seashell Shore to taking in part of unique and challenging Dragon Egg mini-games from helping out playing as Sheila taking out a big sandcastle like rhynoc base which explored more on other characters in the series other then of Spyro and to taking out a big bad rhynoc in a submarine shooting like hovercraft game. Everything was fresh and unique that not only was it unique and very creative for any other Spyro PS1 level out there but, it helped more evolve on what later levels could be more original like with.
Not much else to say other then Seashell Shore was a very speical and important level to the that to the series overall in and easily one of the best and original levels I have played from the entire series. Deserving so for being ranked high in of the countdown and as such earns this fantastic level the #12 slot, on the countdown.
