There was nothing at first. All there was, was a void that seemed to have no end. I noticed that I was sitting in a chair in the void, with another fancier chair facing towards the one I'm in. I look down at myself and see that I'm still in the same school uniform as when I woke up and put on this morning. The only thing is, is that it looks even newer than when I got it, like someone took it off me without my say and made it look brand new, like it was done with magic.

Then out of nowhere, a beautiful woman that I have ever seen with my own eyes appears out of thin air. She looked to be around my age, albeit a little bit older given by the mature look on her face, which to me looked adorable as it did nothing to deter from her beauty. From the hair as blue as the sky itself to the ensemble she wore in different shades of blue from dark to light as it really accentuated her figure of what can only be called borderline scandalous due to the short skirt she wore, but the way her eyes shown a different story.

"Oh you poor soul. I'm sorry that I have to be the one to tell you tha-"

"I'm dead, am I wrong?"

"?!"

That caught the woman off guard, not expecting a reaction so quick. "O-Oh, how did you figure that?" the woman asked back, but this time with a hesitant tone as if treating someone wrong could set off a bomb. Not that it mattered either way, seeing as I was already dead and all. I gave out a huge sigh as the woman looked at me with concern.

"What? Do I got something on my face? Why are you looking at me like that? Look, I don't know who you are just stop looking at m-" I was interrupted as the woman came over during my questioning of her when she proceeded to hug me. I flinched at the contact and was about to lash out when what I heard next made me pause with shock.

"I'm sorry that you had a rough life, Akkun Fuunmei. No one should have gone through what you have experienced. As a goddess, I can only give my deepest apologies." She looked at me with a sorrowful look that she then proceeded to pat my head. No one has patted me on the head like that since I was a kid. Not since-

Before I realized it, I felt tears on my face as I reached for my cheeks, only for the woman to just shush me as she hummed an unknown lullaby and then put my head between her bosoms. Normally, any guy would have loved a chance to be between two large breasts, but that was not the case for me, as she kept humming the lullaby, memories that I thought were long gone started surfacing, little by little. From the earliest birthdays with my parents, the little squabbles I had with my brothers and sisters, and the gifts I would receive from my grandparents, all before they died in those accidents over the years. I would stand near them and have the time of my life, only for those cars to blow a tire and then proceeded to run my family over, leaving me alone with my grandparents. But a vacation to America where the plane crashed into the ocean left me all alone. After that, word got around my school that with my name meaning 'unlucky', I was feared to be near anyone, thinking that if they got close to me, then they would meet the same fate. I thought I found solace in one girl who was the only one that was nice to me was Yuki-chan, only for me to find out that she was going to lead me on and buy her nice things before proceeding to make out with what appeared to be her 'boyfriend'. After that, I found no reason to live at all, so I went to the top of the school and we all know where that landed me at.

After what seemed like eternity, the proclaimed goddess separates as she gives me a light, but warm smile. "Better?" she asked. I dry my tears with my sleeve and give a nod of affirmation. Still can't believe I broke down in front of a goddess, at least I think she is one. With a quick step in her heels, the woman turns back to me, this time with a more cheerful smile that honestly looked cuter than the other gentler smile. "Now then, you're much calmer now, right?" I gave another nod as I intently listened. "My name is Aqua, the Goddess of Water and the one in charge of Japan. I am sorry that what led you to taking your own life is a tragedy, but hopefully we can change that as I help guide you to the next chapter in your life."

"Hold on," I say with a polite tone, "Are you saying that I have another life, like in a video game?" Aqua giggles as she replies, "Well you could say something like that. And while we are on the topic of video games, why don't you listen to this." She then went on what I felt to be a scripted line as she explained about a Demon King who was terrorizing another world she also oversees. I was hesitant. I decided to ask, "Before I decide, could I talk or send a message to my family, I know that they are probably waiting for me, but if I take on the Demon King, then I would just be making them wait a little longer."

Aqua looks surprised at my request but gives a warm smile. "Well, I can't let you talk to them until it's time for heaven, but I can send a message to them." I gain a look of hope as I am about to send a message to the family I haven't seen since I was eight. "But just so you are aware, your siblings aren't in heaven yet." Aqua adds, much to my shock. I reply back, "But if they are not in heaven, then where are they?" The Goddess of Water looks back with just a smile as she says, "Guess." I only looked confused for a bit, but as she said they weren't with my parents and grandparents, I realized it right away as I stand up from the chair.

"Wait, you mean to tell me that my two older brothers and my two little sisters are in the world you talked about?!" Aqua gives a nod, sending me back into the chair in shock. With no doubt in my mind, I ask Aqua, "Could you tell the rest of my family in heaven to wait a little longer, I not only want to help with something only a goddess could ask, but I want to see my siblings again. I love all of you and will see you when the time is right and make you proud for this new life I am being given." Aqua smiles wider as she happily sends my message with what she dubs as her 'Goddess Message'. After a minute goes by, she takes a stack of papers and throws them everywhere on the ground in a dramatic fashion whilst stating, "Now then, time to choose!"

I look over at every paper on the ground as Aqua goes over to the fancy chair and as if it was always there, a bowl of potato chips appears, and she proceeds to munch on them while watching me decide on a new power or item to take with me to the new world. So far nothing catches my eyes as I asked Aqua a question. "So, Aqua-sama, could I ask something?" Aqua munches the rest of her chip in her mouth as she responds, "Sure, what is it you need?" I sigh in relief in silence as I am still getting used to the fact that this beautiful woman is a bona-fide goddess in the flesh. I say what is on my mind about what I needed, "I was wondering, could I just ask for a power or item that can be thought up of, even stuff that is made from movies or anime?" Aqua gives a thoughtful look on her face as she thinks about it.

"Well, those are just the default items and abilities that people usually pick from, but I think its doable, just nothing too complicated."

"I see." I go back to thinking on all the shows and movies I invested in before my life went to hell. Of all the ones that I could think of, I couldn't help but look at Aqua and remembered something. "Aqua-sama, you said you are the Goddess of Water, correct?" Aqua nods back with chips in her mouth. "Mm-hmm, *gulp* that's right, why do you ask?" I look away sheepishly as I explained. "Well, I wanted to pick Waterbending, like in the tv series Avatar: The Last Airbender. I w-wanted to pick that power in homage to the goddess that comforted me when I didn't know I needed it."

At this Aqua brightens up immensely as she stops eating her bowl of chips and the whole void seems to lighten up a tad bit. "Really, all I did was help you with what seemed to be years of neglect that no one should go through, but to have an ability that reminds you of me?! Why that could be possible, besides, what Goddess wouldn't want someone with a power inspired by me. Especially from a wonderful story about bring peace and balance to the world." I sweat drop at that last part but put it to the back of my mind as I see her stand up and with a wave of her arms, a magic circle appears on the ground below me as I slowly start to lift off the ground.

"Now go forth with your new ability and save the world from the Demon King. Plus, when you beat him, the Gods will grant you any wish you desire."

I tear up as I not only am helping a goddess with defeating this Demon King, but I also have the chance to see my siblings again, only older. "I'll make you proud, Aqua-sama. If there is a religion where I'm going, I'll join it and spread the word of the great Aqua-samaaa~!" I see Aqua light up even more as she smiles and waves at me, sending me off to the new world that I would soon save.

Town of Axel, In front of the Adventurer's guild

I look around at my surroundings. I see houses made of brick and wood instead of the usual modern houses back on Earth. Instead of paved roads were more brick work as I see people dressed in more rustic clothes. I got a few stares as I was still in my school uniform. Just a simple white shirt with a black blazer with white accents on the sleeves and black uniform pants with my white school shoes sticking out like a sore thumb. Just as I look around more, a nearby man looks at me in shock, before coming up to me so fast, it's like he teleported in front of me.

"Excuse me, sir. Where did you get those clothes?" The man looked to be in his mid-forties with balding white hair and a white mustache being his prominent feature. He wore what seemed to be a well-made black suit with a black cape. He looked around me as he inspected my clothes. I towered over the man at five foot ten compared to his five foot. "Amazing, I've never seen designs like this." The man looks into my eyes as he seems to get even closer to my face. "Sell me your clothes, I'm willing to pay whatever the price!" I was hesitant, but the thought of being broke with no money seemed to give me an idea.

"Well, these are clothes I went to school in, so I'm a little hesitant to part with them." That seemed to really drive home the deal as he says, "Alright, you drive a hard bargain, I'll give you ten thousand eris, but no more than that."

Jackpot.

I agreed to the price as the man leads me from where I first appeared to what seems to be a clothing store. The man's name is Clyde, as he is the owner of a line of clothing popular in the capital of this country. I explained that I came from out of the country in hopes of making it out as an Adventurer, as I learned that is the name of profession that take on quests and go on adventures. Whilst I was changing clothes, Clyde asked if I was willing to part with my shirt and underwear if he paid a little extra. After some haggling and some new clothes and newly acquired money in a pouch, I made my way to the Adventurer Guild to get what seems to be a card that allows me to level up in the class of my choosing, the Adventurer's Card.

I was now wearing a thick, but breathable tunic that is crimson in color with some well-made pants that are baggy but came with some deep pockets. I sported a leather belt that carried my money pouch, but also had what seems to be a loop to put what could be a sword or dagger if I so choose. I now had some brown leather boots that was comfortable to boot too.

I made my way into the guild hall as one of the tough looking guys drinking looked at me and gave a grin as he greeted me. "Welcome to the gates of hell. What brings you here, boy?" Without missing a beat, I gave a grin back and proclaimed, "Well, how else am I supposed to defeat the Demon King?" The man had a hearty laugh about that as he gave me the best of luck and directed me to the counter where newbies get 'initiated' as he said. I head over and see a blonde-haired woman standing behind the counter. The name on the plaque on the counter said 'Luna', as I look up, but tried not to look downwards at the woman's very revealing top as it showed much of the top of her breasts.

"H-Hello, my name is Akkun Fuunmei, and I'm here to become an Adventurer." I mentally kicked myself for that stutter from being nervous in front of attractive women, but I push forward to achieve my goal. The woman greets me with a smile as she gets a device to what she explained to fill out my Adventurers card with all information about me. After paying a fee of fifty eris, I saw as light emanated from the device as I put my hand on top. When the light faded, I saw a filled-out Adventurer's card with my name on it. Luna-san picked up the card so she could look over what seemed to be my 'stats'.

"Let's see here, strength average, vitality is outstanding, magic power is also outstanding, what the heck, even the intelligence is above average, ok the dexterity is average, and then. . ." She looked the last stat before cringing a bit. "And it looks like your luck is below average, but that just means you can't become a merchant at all, but there are other classes that you can pick from." I take my card that is handed to me and I look at the different classes I could choose to take, like the Arch-Wizard class or . . . I stop on one class that seemed to stand out.

"Sorcerer?" I mumbled out loud, catching the attention of Luna. "Sorcerer?! Let me see that one." Luna quickly takes my card from my hand as I hear murmurs of what seems to be a rare class that hasn't been heard of. "So, what's a Sorcerer?" I ask Luna. She hands back my card as she explains, "Sorcerers are beings that come rare nowadays, but they are powerful as there are tales of how Sorcerers have these powers, from some bloodline of magic users, like the Crimson Demons with their immense magic power, to another outside force that can not be comprehended affecting someone that gives them their power. It varies as time goes on, but the fact that Waterbending is a skill unheard of, but no doubt it sounds to be amazing."

With that information out there, the whole guild hall went up in a roar as they proclaimed that I could turn the tide in the war with the Demon King. I flush at all the attention I'm getting as I decided to go with what could go well with my new skill, as I pick Sorcerer as my class. The change was something, like a part of myself knew what I wanted and now I feel evermore elated at my next step to take on the Demon King.

Later that day

After I got setup to go on quests via Adventurers card, I was approached by some other fellow Adventurers. They asked if I wanted to join their party, but I politely refused for now as I wanted to test my new bending ability with some alone time as I felt at ease alone than with people around. I walked around until I find a nearby river in town, as I make a motion to move the water around. Much to my chagrin, I only make the surface move slightly. This time I focus as remember as much as I can from The Last Airbender to help me control my newly attained skill. I make a push and pull motion with the water as I didn't notice I was adjusting myself each time I make efforts to move the water. Slowly, but surely, I managed to get some of the water to flow in a tendril shape as I make the water circle me in a shaky stream as I work on focusing on the water to not-

"Hey, that's a neat trick."

"GAHHH!" I shout in surprise as my focus on the water wavers and the stream encircling me falls to the ground. I look to my left from where I hear the voice and spot a young girl staring at me, like she's been there a while. She has short black hair while dressing in black robes with a giant black hat with what looked to be a stitched eyes and a stitched smile that was done with red and yellow thread, as well as wearing a short red dress that left little to the imagination as brown boots came up to her shins, she had one black stocking on her left leg with a bandaged right leg.
An eyepatch with a weird looking cross design covered her left eye. One thing to note was that she had a red eye and probably another one under that eyepatch. She looked at me with a grin as she looked me over as she was balancing on her staff and seemed to give a 'hmmph' as she replies back, "Sorry, I couldn't help but notice a skill I have never seen before, and the motion as if you were bending the water to your will, although it looks like you haven't used it much."

I gave a shrug as I retort back, "Yeah well, you try learning a skill in one day and see what happens." That seemed to give her a smug look as she pulls out what is to be her Adventurer's card as she states, "Yeah well I learned how to be the most powerful Arch-Wizard in the world, and all I need is one spell." She puffs her chest out with pride. I look back at the little girl before me with a sweat drop as I scratch the back of my head. "Oh wow, that SO amazing!" I say with the enthusiasm of a cat enjoying water. The girl seemed to have taken an offense to that as she strikes a dramatic pose, with her staff in her right hand and her left one over her eyes.

"My name is Megumin, Arch-Wizard and genius of the Crimson Demon clan! Know this, mere mortal, as I take this world by storm as the new Demon King!"

. . .

So, they even have chuunibyo's here as well.

As I take in her words, I hear a yell from the distance, "MEGUMIN! HAVE YOU DONE YOUR DELIVERY YET?!" At those words, the now known Crimson Demon panics as she quickly bows and leaves with a hurry in her step. I watch her speed off in the distance as I then go back to the sensation of feeling the water in the river. I take off my pants and leave them on the bank of the river, leaving me in my tunic and underwear of this world. I wade through the water and start by feeling the water flow around me. I bend down and dunk my head in the water and tried to relax as I listened to the water flow by, feeling the flow all around me. After a bit, I come up for air as I try to bend the water and flow above the little bridge nearby. With a little patience, I managed to get the water halfway over the bridge when I hear another voice nearby. I managed to bring the water back to the river and grabbed my nearby pants and went under the bridge.

"Darkness, you got to lighten up when you ask other people to join their parties, otherwise no one will let you in one."

"I know, but when I just think of the way those parties look at me with discontent as I can't help but think of what they do with their eyes. Mmm-mm!"

"?"

Not wanting anything to do with those people, I sink in the water with my pants in my grip as I let the flow of the water take me away from where people pass by.

That Night

Flowing to the edge of town, I got out and decided to try wringing out my clothes with the bending and sure enough, I get all the water out of my clothes and proceed to head back to town to sleep for the night. As I walk through town, I get the distinct impression that I'm being followed. I turn down an alley as I see a stack of boxes that I hid behind with a blanket that was sitting in one of the boxes and dropped beside the stack of boxes. I can't see through the blanket as I hear what seemed to be hurried footsteps go by me, stopping just a few feet in front of me to my right. As I hear a sigh, I peeked at my potential stalker. It was a girl from the Adventurer's Guild, with black hair that she had in long pigtails as she had a black and white dress with a window view of her breasts, which were huge for a girl her size, she looked a little worried as she was about to walk away until I said, "Nice weather we are having, huh?" That caused the girls' head to swivel in direction of my voice as I stand up with the blanket draping off me as I wave with a friendly smile. The girl seemed to be taken back by the friendly gesture as I notice that she seemed as if she was trying to find the right words to say.

After what felt like a long awkward silence, I get straight to the point. "Look, did you need something or what? I got to find a place to sle-" the girl interrupts me as she finally speaks out loud since we met. "Earlier today, you said your name was Akkun Fuunmei, was it not?"

"It is, do I know you from somewhere? I only got to this town today an-"

"And your goal is to defeat the Demon King, right? Like the blue-haired goddess said."

Now I am utterly baffled by what's transpiring right now. Hesitantly, I reply, "Yeah, how did you know about that? Just who are you anyways?" The girl seems to be on the verge of tears as she says, "It's me, brother. It's Kanae." As if the world slows down, the clouds blocking the moon part ways as the moonlight lights up the alley with what I see a flashback to my youngest sister, then it fades into the face of what is my little sister Kanae Fuunmei. The blanket that was draped over me falls off as I walk to Kanae slow at first but turns into a sprint as he hugs her. Kanae puts her arms around me, reciprocating the hug between two long lost siblings reunited. Tears of sorrow and joy filled that alley way.

Eventually, we stop our little hug fest as Kanae takes my hand and leads me to a humble cottage on the outskirts of the town as she proceeds to open the door and dragged me inside. The inside of the cottage seemed cozy as it had basic furniture in the living room area complete with a fireplace and connected to the living area was a kitchen with an oven stove and fridge that seemed out of place in a fantasy-based world, but not unwelcome as it does preserve food longer. There also seemed to be more rooms down the hallway, but what caught my attention was another person occupying the couch.

Kanae let go of my hand as she waltzed over to the person on the couch and proceeded to push him off. Landing with a thud, the man seemed to be shaken from his slumber as he gets up.

"Dang it, Kanae! If it's about that tab, I told you I wou-" The man stops as he stands up in what was anger until he saw it wasn't just Kanae, but he looked past her at me. The man went from anger to shock in an instant as Kanae finally spoke up.

"Asahi, you would not guess who I found today."

That sent Asahi, my older brother, into a soft gasp as I couldn't hold back and hugged him hard, as if he was going to disappear again. Asahi hugged me back. "I thought I wouldn't see any of you for a while. I was going to search the world for all of y-"

"Hush, little brother, don't ruin this moment for just a little bit more."

After a minute goes by, we separate as I get a good look at my older brother. He was burly for his size at six foot one with a layer of fat covering the details, but there is no denying that my brother was strong with the thick muscles. His bicep was the size of two baseball bats taped together. He wore a dark navy-blue shirt as it was complemented with his dark pants that look black but was just a darker blue.

Asahi slaps me on the back as he lets out a hearty laugh. "Well now, won't Eiji and Mayumi be glad when they hear the news. That is, whenever they get back."

I sigh in relief that nothing happened to my other older brother and younger sister, but I am also glad that I might see them sooner than I expected. "So," I began as I wrap my arms around both my siblings' shoulders. "Why not catch me up on the latest points in everyone's lives, huh?"

Asahi grinned as Kanae smiled as they said, "With pleasure!"

You're probably thinking, 'WTF?! Where is IPAITP, EAG?!' It's mostly a mix of writers' block and work. Just changed to a new job and all, so I'll try to get that updated as soon as I can. Thank you for following and reading my best so far, I want to get even better and hopefully one day, write my own book series. But enough about that, I'm a get back to writing!
