Another amazing level we have here and as such earns this high ranking in of my countdown. Each and every moment I go through in to play in for Spyro 2 no matter how times I beat through the game, I always find myself to have a very fun and enjoyable time playing through of Metropolis thanks to it the level having so much creative style, gameplay, charm and personality going in of it. Another classic of a level in from the Spyro series that holds dearly to my heart that I will never forget as a gamer thanks to me having so much fun with it.
The strength that goes in for Metropolis easily being one of the finest and best levels out there from all three Spyro PS1 games is in how many very fun and unique ways the gameplay goes in of the level in order for the player to fully complete it. This includes head-bashing yourself into platforms like elevators to advance yourself more in depth of even more action to explore in of Metropolis such as getting full use on the first ever Supercharge and Superfly combo power-up in the level which added a nice amount of unique style near the final sections of the level as I really loved exploring down searching and carefully the gems that were in around the planet like structures in the level.
Speaking of more gameplay elements that go in for Metropolis, I found the Orb like games in of the level just as creative, fresh and fun to mess around with such as using the so power-up I stated in the write-up to good use with a mixture of skill you learn from it and take down flying saucer like enemies that were often challenging and fun to mess around with. I love levels like Metropolis that allow access for the player to explore so much action in of the level such as finishing up collecting anything missing in the level he/she missed out on to killing off every single enemy in of the level, Metropolis was so unique and original that I again, never got tired of the level and remains as a true classic out there as just like Skelos Badlands and Fireworks Factory which are the last two levels left to rank, are some of the most enjoyable and fun moments I go through in for a level in any game I played in my life.
Moving away from the gameplay is the fantastic sense of imagination and charm in the level. There was so much imagination even in the presentation of Metropolis where it always helps the player get on their feet and have a fun time with the level from start to finish with thanks to the ever so full calm, catchy and peaceful the music and so of other presentation matters go for Metropolis.
Another total package level overall to not only to the Spyro PS1 games but, to gaming in general and it shows on how sadly in compared to today's games where games in the platformer genre are getting less unique and fun out there but, this isn't the case with Spyro 1, 2 and 3 which is saying on a whole how my favorite genre in gaming is going downhill with hardly much going for it keeping it fresh and fun.
Moving away, Metropolis was an amazing level on all fronts and as such thanks to how much fun and classic memories it brings for me that I still love to playing in for Spyro 2 from the near past decade, earns this level easily a spot in my Top 3 favorite Spyro PS1 levels overall in as the best in the countdown. Such a nice level.
