Ruby Albina Hawkins is a powerful Bang Baby willing to do whatever it takes to protect her friends, family, and allies. She's the protector of Dakota under the codename Magnetta, the master of magnetism and gravity. During her youth, she suffered from the death of her parents at the age of five. When she was 14 years old, she got affected by some Quantum Juice at the docks during a gang war that gave her the ability to generate and control magnetic fields and the laws of gravity, which gave her a chance to help people in need and protect her friends and family. Magnetta aimed to protect the Earth to show that metahumans and the Justice League are not a threat.

After the Big Bang, Ruby Hawkins becomes the Earth's most powerful superhero with her ability to control both Magnetism and Gravity. She's very creative with her powers and knows how to use them.

Ruby is an African-American teenager with medium-to-dark brown skin and a slim hourglass figure. She has long straight black hair that flows freely behind her back and black eyes. She has one eyelash on the side of her eyes like Omnara, Trina Jessup, and Tracy Flackman. She also wears red lipstick.

In the third and fourth seasons, she'll be wearing a red long-sleeved jumpsuit that complements her figure, midriff exposed, with a white circle on her chest with a red u-shaped magnet symbol inside, a red superhero face eye mask, white high-heeled boots that go up to her calves, and doesn't wear gloves.

Her face eye mask looks just like Harley Quinn's in The New Batman Adventures, but in a different color. Her magnet logo on her superhero costume in seasons 3 and 4 looks just like Dr. Polaris' in Justice League Unlimited.

Personality

Ruby Hawkins is a kind, smart, and beautiful young woman. She has a good relationship with both her cousins, Sharon Hawkins and Virgil Hawkins. She's more responsible and mature when it comes to being a superhero. She is on good terms with her uncle, Robert Hawkins.

As a superhero, Magnetta has a very strong sense of right and wrong, being the first to help a friend in trouble. She's almost always fearless in the face of danger. Magnetta values her reputation as a hero to help people in need and knows when to admit when she's wrong and doesn't have a big ego like her cousin Static. Magnetta also knows when to be serious in battles. Ruby has a heart of gold. She cares for all of her friends, allies, and families deeply, and is always willing to help and fight for a good cause. She's selfless, caring, understanding, and brave. Ruby is tough when needed to be and always lends a helping hand to people in need, especially homeless people. She's willing to do whatever it takes to save her friends and family, including other Bang Babies. Ruby acts wisely in many situations and often provides advice to those who need it. Over the years and into adulthood, she still stays mature and responsible as a superhero.

History

When she was 5 years old, her parents died in a car accident caused by gangs. After they died, she was adopted by her aunt and uncle.

Ruby was an honor roll student before her crime-fighting career began. She's a very talented singer and breakdancer like her mom. She likes singing Pop, Funk, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Rap. She's also very good at sports like her dad. She's good at Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Football, and Track. She frequently helps her uncle Robert at Dakota's community center. Additionally, she and her best friend Allie Langford were inseparable. She always hated gangs since they were responsible for her parent's death. Her parents loved her very much and she loved her parents as much as they do. To her parents, she was special. They did everything together. She has a huge ice cream problem and loves to eat fried chicken. She's afraid of using guns and having to kill the people she cares about. During her freshman year of high school, Ruby was bullied by Kathryn Collins. Ruby was frequently the victim of threats and beatings by Kathryn and her gang until Wade intervened. However, this intervention came with a price: Ruby and her cousin had to join Wade's gang. As a result, Ruby and her cousin became involved in the gang wars of Dakota.

The gang wars began in a showdown at the Dakota docks. Even after being given a gun, Ruby refused to kill anyone and promptly threw her and Virgil's gun in the water. As the showdown began, police lights shone overhead. While the gang members ran away in different directions, stray shots collided with strange canisters of gas, which detonated and surrounded the area. Ruby escaped unharmed, but something strange happened to her.

She may have appeared fine, but Ruby's body had undergone a massive change. The gas from the Big Bang had charged Ruby's body with magnetism and gravity. Using Magnekinesis and Gravikinesis, Ruby was able to create a magnetic field and manipulate gravity. After this discovery, she began to hone her powers. Along with training on how to use and control her powers. Ruby decided to use her powers to protect the people in Dakota. She created a costumed persona, and Magnetta was born.

Weaknesses

Despite Magnetta's incredible power, extreme heat is her biggest weakness, and she can run out of power if she pushes herself too much. Her powers are useless against rubber, wood, plants, plastic, and metahumans that can cancel out her powers. Her powers are also useless against non-magnetic objects, such as brass and bronze. She could lose her magnetic powers for a short time from extreme heat.


Magnetism Manipulation

Magnetta has comprehensive control over all forms of magnetism and utilizes that control to manipulate any metal and achieve a variety of effects. Magnetta can manipulate an entire planet's magnetic field. She can shoot a magnetic ray that allows her to magnetize any object, which can cause people to be pulled towards it, and stick on the magnetized object. She can magnetize objects, causing them to be affected by magnetism, including materials that aren't usually affected by magnetism. She can even demagnetize objects, causing them to be unaffected by magnetism. She can magnetize her enemy's feet to stick to the floor by making her hands glow white with the person's feet glowing white as they start to stick to the floor. She can also magnetize people or objects to stick to the ceiling or wall by making her hands glow white with the person or object glowing white as they stick to the ceiling or wall. She can move and redirect bullets, vehicles, and even buildings. Magnetta can generate a white magnetic force field that protects her from most ballistic attacks including nuclear weapons, volcanic eruptions, metal, concrete, earth, glass, crystal, sand, block solar energy attacks, deflect solar radiation, and protect her from magma. Her magnetic force field can even protect her against plasma attacks. She can even heal herself by producing a magnetic field around herself to reduce her cell's pain signals. Magnetta has telekinetic control over metal, allowing her to levitate and move it around without physical contact, including beings made of metal like Nails and Soundwave. She can also use her Magno-Telekinesis on people and objects. She can shoot powerful white magnetic rays that can destroy both metallic and nonmetallic objects. She can create and launch spheres of white magnetic energy to throw at her enemies. Magnetta can detect a person's magnetic field to track their whereabouts. This power helps her to easily track her enemies. She can even see through a person's magnetic field in their brain. So she can see a person's memories or flashbacks of their childhood. Magnetta can attract coins to her by making them move directly towards her. She also has the ability to contact people by traveling through the magnetic fields in the person's brain. Magnetta can use the Earth's magnetic field to navigate across the Earth to a certain place. She can walk on walls on any surface with her hands or feet, even upside down as her feet glow white. She's unable to let go if she wants to. When she raises her hand as it glows white, she would pull herself toward the wall as her hand sticks to the wall. Magnetta can use her magnetic powers to give her a better grip on slippery surfaces without slipping. When she uses this power, her feet glow white. If her limbs get chopped off, she can use her magnetic powers to make her limbs pull back to her and reattach themselves like a magnet. She can create a magnetic field around her body that can repel projectiles and physical attacks. When her enemy tries to punch her with her magnetic field activated, her enemy's punches push away from her. She can also repel someone charging toward her by holding out her hand as it glows white. Magnetta can use her magnetic powers to unleash a very strong magnetic pull, that could pull objects to her hand as the object glows white, along with her hand. Magnetta can pull in any magnets towards her, from horseshoe magnets to fridge magnets. She can also pull other objects towards her with her magnetic powers. Magnetta can fire white magnetic rays in the form of powerful sliding waves of magnetic energy capable of knocking her opponents several feet away. She can even channel her magnetic energy through metal coils towards the person holding the coils or a machine with the coils attached to it, to strike at her enemies which forces them to let go or malfunction so she can get the coils off her. She can also emit magnetic pulses that allow her to magnetize any ferromagnetic metals like iron, nickel, steel, and cobalt. Magnetta is able to project magnetic fields that are capable of overloading electrical circuits. She can even detect bio-magnetic fields, and make them visible to see for the human eye. She can also generate a powerful outburst of white magnetic energy from her body to repel large groups of enemies. She can use this power whenever she's surrounded by too many enemies at once, burst out of restraints, burst out of ice and different materials, or disrupt electronics. Magnetta can use her magnetic powers to disrupt any machinery possessing magnetic or metallic alloys. She can even use her magnetism manipulation to control magnetic metals within hardware, software, and motherboards, allowing manipulation over electronics and anything that counts as technology. Magnetta can pull in metal particles from the air and can lift whole mountains to topple on her enemies. She can even reshape any metal she's aware of. Like changing the iron in the blood into a metal saw blade or a metal cup into a bullet. She can also move mountains with her magnetic powers. Magnetta can magnetize paramagnetic metals like aluminum, titanium, ceramic, platinum, and tin. She can also magnetize diamagnetic metals like lead, mercury, silver, gold, and copper. Magnetta can achieve restricted manipulation of buildings, skyscrapers, houses, and metropolitan projects that contain magnetic and metallic matter. She can also control metal bullets to prevent them from hitting her. Magnetta can even control vehicles that have metallic properties. Magnetta can control matter by manipulating substances by controlling their metallic properties. She can also control any material and object that holds a microscopic metallic particle. She can sense the iron in a person's blood to see how much iron they have in their blood. Magnetta can control the traces of iron in a person's blood, control the blood flow in a person's body, can manipulate the iron-enriched blood flow to a person's brain to potentially induce very limited effects, and can use the organic iron to make her enemies fall unconscious. Magnetta can also absorb the power of the sun to battle any powerful foes and use the Earth's magnetic field to overwhelm powerful enemies that can destroy planets. She could even fling the Earth off its axis. Magnetta has the ability to change into a being of red magnetic energy with long white flowing hair of magnetic energy which strengthens her powers to the ultimate. Her Magna-Form can also help her overpower any powerful beings. Her Magna-Form can even make her travel faster than the speed of light.

Gravity Manipulation

Magnetta can control gravity to manipulate the weight and motion of objects, allowing her to send her enemies flying back or forth or slam them down to the ground. Her control over gravity allows her to change its direction, allowing her to telekinetically send her enemies flying upwards or across the air as if they were falling. Magnetta can drastically increase the gravity around people or objects, making it hard to move or even stand by making her hands glow white with the person or object glowing white as they start to feel heavy and began plummeting to the ground. She can use it on herself to make herself heavy to avoid being sucked in by strong winds and black holes without slipping by making her body, hands, or feet glow white. She can even drastically decrease the gravity around people or objects, causing them to float. Magnetta can use her gravity powers to increase the offensive power of her punch, allowing her to hammer her enemies with immensely powerful punches as her fist glows white with magnetic energy. After she punches her enemies with her gravity powers, she can create a wave of magnetic fields. She can lift anything heavy like Superman by decreasing the weight/gravity on the object as her hands glow white, giving her super strength. Magnetta can decrease the pull of gravity on herself to move faster. She can even decrease the pull of gravity to make herself feel light, which allows her to jump higher. She can also use her gravity powers to travel at the speed of light. Magnetta can keep her feet on the ground in low gravity or make herself be able to stand in high gravity with no effort. Magnetta can also use it on other people to make them immune to high or low gravity by making their bodies glow white. She can even alter a planet's gravity to low, high, or Earth-like by digging her fists to the ground. When she alters the planet to low gravity, she can make objects float toward her enemies as they glow white or make people float safely. When she alters the planet to high gravity, she can make her enemies unable to stand. She can even use her gravity powers to draw in cold and dense air into the fire to put it out.

Other Powers

She can use her Magnetic-Gravitational powers to make herself levitate and fly by making her body glow white. She can create blue volts of electricity to charge engines, generators, and batteries by rubbing her hands together. The more she rubs her hands and the faster she rubs them together, the stronger the volts get. Her magnetic powers make her immune to mind control because the magnetic field around her brain can repel it, which protects her from being mind-controlled. Magnetta is also resistant to telepathic attacks, even when unconscious. She's immune to people with Magnetic, Gravitational, and Telekinetic powers. She's also immune to people with any type of electric power like Static and Livewire. Her creativity with her powers makes her able to predict a metahuman's teleportation and overpower a metahuman's telekinesis.


She develops new powers after she regained her powers in the Static Shock episode, Power Outage. Not only that, Ruby's powers began growing and growing, turning her into a being strong enough to rival even the most powerful members of the Justice League.

She can use her magnetic abilities to perform electrokinesis. She can also see the natural electromagnetic auras given off by living beings. Magnetta can use the laws of general relativity to her advantage and can reduce the speed of objects or creatures to nothing even if they were moving at the speed of light before. She can even survive in the vacuum of space by making her body glow white. She can also use it on other people to make them able to survive in the vacuum of space as she makes their bodies glow white by using her magnetic powers. Magnetta is capable of generating and projecting powerful bolts of blue electricity. She can summon meteors by attracting metally-enriched asteroids, near-earth objects, and meteoroids into the atmosphere of the planet, moon, or astronomical object. Magnetta can manipulate weapons that contain anything influenced by magnetism, including guns. She can even move water by manipulating the diamagnetism in the water. She can also create white magnetic whips to grab or wrap her opponents. She can create solar flares by tangling the lines of the sun's magnetic field to fire a bright flash of high-intensity solar rays that can badly concuss targets, flash fry a stampeding herd, or outright blind anyone unfortunate enough to get hit dead on by it. Magnetta can also open wormholes between two points in space and time in order to travel to the most impassible of distances almost instantly.

With her ultimate powers combined with her new powers, she was good enough to join the Justice League along with her cousin Static. She'll be putting her powers to the test as she battles more powerful beings from other planets, the future, and even an entire army of metahumans.


Future Magnetta

As she grows up, she'll become more powerful and the Earth's most powerful superhero. The supreme master of Magnetism and Gravity. After the Static Shock episode, Power Outage, Magnetta was previously an Alpha-level metahuman. But has grown up to become an Omega level. She has been Earth's most powerful superhero after the Big Bang, even 40 years in the future. Even the single most powerful being on the face of the Earth. She possesses tremendous amounts of power, which is, for all practical purposes, limitless. Magnetta has learned to harness magnetism to stop armies, raise islands from ocean floors, change the course of rivers, and cause floods and earthquakes. Mangetta learned to blanket an entire planet with a self-generated electromagnetic pulse that can cause widespread devastation. Moreover, she can use her magnetic powers in more than one way simultaneously. Her range to detect magnetic fields used to be anywhere in Dakota City. But has grown big enough to be able to pinpoint the Earth's magnetic field while stranded on a planet in another galaxy. And has learned to be able to use its magnetic field to pull herself back to Earth in a single day.

I'm really proud of how Magnetta turned out to be. Making her the most powerful Bang Baby.
