"I think I am ready for my sabbatical to be over."
Tsunade smiled, leaning forward. To her observant, medically trained eye, Mika even looked stronger. He had more muscle, he had a grace he just lacked before, his eyes were sharper and his presence greater. It helped that she knew that he was officially a class three medic, capable of assisting in surgeries and on the battlefield to a far higher degree. It also helped that she had watched his training every so often, mostly out of curiosity, and knew he was as strong as some jonin in kenjutsu and the silent killing. He was easily just shy of Special jonin overall, merely needing the experience to reach it.
Then there was Ghost, who looked at with above human intelligence from atop Mika's shoulders. He was a strong creature, she knew he could best some genin ( Naruto and Shikamaru and Sakura) in taijutsu thanks to his training with Tsunade. The little guy was now a borderline expert tracker, and an efficient healer and a great combatant. She had seen him spar with Mika in hand to paw, and practiced the Silent Killing with him. That cat had more skills than some chunin!
All in all, she could safely declare Mika's training sabbatical a complete and utter success.
"I am glad to hear that, I have a mission for you. Or rather, I had a mission for you. Team nine, minus Gai but plus Naruto are going to the Land of Rivers to fight a crime family. However, recent evidence from Gai reveals their head to be Raiga."
Mika choked. "Raiga, the swordsmen? The A ranked ninja with the Kiba blades, the sharpest ninja blades in existence? That Raiga!"
She nodded. "The very one. Neji is easily low jonin, but I do not believe they are a match for him. I am assigning you and Ghost head this mission, they have not left yet so go find Neji and give him this scroll. I figured you were going to be here today." She handed Mika the scroll, a smile on her face. "Now kick ass, show the world what your training has done for you!"
Mika nodded, as did Ghost. "Right away, M'Lady. Oh and permission to beat Naruto into unconsciousness if he pisses me off?"
She laughed. "Please refrain yourself... be gentle but firm, he needs it. He could learn a lot from you."
"I hope he is willing to listen."
"Same."

"WHHHAAAAT!" Naruto screamed, making everyone cringe.
Mika sighed. " Naruto, it's just me. I am just in charge, as the only chunin on the mission. Please get over yourself a little and behave with some decorum." Turning to their clients, Mika bowed. "He's an idiot, but the rest of us are capable."
"It is alright." The man said. "Now we must be quick, less many more die in our homeland."
"One moment," Mika said, turning to the group. "This Raiga, he is an A Rank ninja with the Kiba blades. He posseses high chakra reserves, can use the Hidden Mist jutsu, and lightning jutsu and is a sword master. He had range and close combat covered. This will be no easy feat to best him, his powers are around that of Asuma sensei based his Bingo Book entry. Naruto, think of a less sane version of Zabuza with a lot more range and a shit ton of lighting chakra. Do not take it lightly, the weakest of the Seven Swordsmen though Raiga is, he is still a force to be reckoned with.
Naruto and Lee, when and if we come into contact with him, do not let him touch you. A single shock can be fatal. Aim for long-distance and back shots, and if anyone can sneak in then go up front but be careful. This is an A ranked mission, not the B rank we were given. A rank. If we can kill Raiga, we can get a huge bounty and add his blades to the village's repitore. Neji, I know you have a lightning affinity and an interest in blades... so look forward to that.
Tenten, you are going to be a huge factor, but no wires as they will conduct electricity! Lastly, and this goes for everyone... be careful! If Ghost hisses, run. It means a huge burst of chakra is present, he can lead you to safety. That is what he is trained for. Tsume and Hana Inuzuka, Kiba's mother and sister, trained him. Do not undervalue him or me.
Now, with that in mind.. let us depart. As we travel, I want any and all tactical ideas presented. If you have a suggestion for this fight, offer it. Naruto, as for you, I have a gift for you." Mika handed him a bag of multi colored sand that to his shock Naruto actually took. "Use your chakra to stick it by color, it will increase your chakra control so that eventually you can cast the Rasengan without a shadow clone. This is a medical technique, it won't be easy but it will keep your skills sharp and really help you out."
And it would keep him quiet... or, so Mika hoped...but mostly, it would help make him more useful in combat. Something he really, really needed. Especially if they were to fight an A ranked ninja like Raiga...
