I stared at my hands; imagining the sparks forming into flames and then flowing towards Ignis's hands as vividly as I could. I felt his hands tense and then he hissed in pain. I looked up and saw blue fire leaping up at his hands. Blisters appeared on Ignis's skin as soon as it was touched by the flames and after a few seconds he seemed to give up. He violently threw me to the ground and before I could recover, kicked me hard in the ribs. I curled up on the ground and listened to his footsteps getting farther and farther away. Then there was silence.

My breathing was fast and uneven and my chest hurt with every breath. My ribs were now definitely bruised, if not broken. My arm and my shoulders were sending out waves of pain and I knew that I couldn't move without a burning sensation shooting through my entire body. I was also pretty sure that my nose was bleeding and I had a long scratch on my leg which I had gotten when Ignis tossed me onto the ground the second time. I wished that my Mom and my sister were with me in this moment. Mom would sit beside me and comfort me and Mae would take care of me like I was the most important person in the world.

A part of me was still bewildered and wondering how Ignis knew that I was, that I had been Ash's counterpart, and how he had found me. However my mind could not come up with a plausible answer to this question. I suddenly thought about how unlucky I was. First it had been that awful trip, then I got into debt in a foreign world, next I had been attacked by a basilisk and now this crazy guy had half killed me for no sensible reason. After a while I tried to sit up but it was so painful that I just collapsed back onto the ground again. I groaned. My eyes were shut tightly as I waited for the pain to pass.

Suddenly I heard voices and then running footsteps. I felt somebody touch my shoulder and gently try to roll me onto my back. I flinched away as more pain flooded my brain. "I'm sorry," I heard a worried voice say. I forced my eyes open and stared up at a figure. It felt like pain was running through my vanes instead of blood and there was blackness at the edges of my vision. I gazed up at the person bending over me again. They were blurry but I caught a glimpse of short brown hair and violet eyes. "Ash," I murmured. My mind was miles away but I saw the figure stand up straighter. Then I heard a girl's voice ask: "Is everything ok, Ash?" I thought that I saw Ash nod. "It's just that, this person knows my name." Everything was growing fuzzy but I saw someone come up on my left. "Do you know her?" "No, I've never seen her before." "Well, maybe you're more famous than you think, Ash." After a moment I felt hands under me and I was gently lifted off the ground. I couldn't handle the pain that even this simple movement caused me and I blacked out.

I woke up to see a circle of faces gazing down at me. I sat up and stared back at them. There was a boy with light blonde hair and blue eyes, a girl with pail skin and jet black hair, a boy with brown hair and a frown on his face and a final boy, the one with violet eyes. "Are you, Team 13?" I asked hesitantly. They're expressions changed to surprise and they exchanged a quick look. "How do you know?" the frowning boy who I supposed was A.C, asked suspiciously. "Well, you're quite well known where I come from," I lied quickly. The blue-eyed boy immediately started jumping up and down. "You hear that?" he asked nobody in particular, "we're famous!" He punched the air enthusiastically but everyone else was ignoring him and still staring at me. I felt more and more uncomfortable. "How did you get so hurt?" Ash asked finally. "I just, kinda got on the wrong side of Sol Ignis." Ash's eyes widened. "Sol? How, why what did you, why would he..." A.C punched Ash in the arm. "Stop blabbering already," He turned to me. "You must have made Sol real mad if he beat you up so bad." He eyed my shoulders. I ran my fingers over the scars on my shoulders. I winced. They still hurt slightly but the pain wasn't half as bad as it had been in the allie. The team must've taken me to a heeler.

I made eye contact with Elise, the girl with the black hair. "Where are we?" I asked her looking around. We were in a big rectangular room with floor to ceiling windows lining one of the walls. There was very little furniture in the room. All I could see was a small table in the corner but the scenery out the window wasn't one I recognised. I could see a dark street with a few houses opposite the building I was in. The houses had flat roofs instead of the pointed roofs in Maylan. "We're in Winsorhowl," she said in a dry voice. I wondered what the rest of Winsorhowl looked like. I smiled. Another thing that Timecrest had made me curios about I guessed.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Roger stopped hopping around like a constipated frog and crossed to the door. He opened it. Outside stood a girl dressed in a snowy white dress. The skirt flowed around her ankles as she stepped forward. "Roger," she said surprise lighting her eyes, "I thought that you had left already?" Roger frowned. "I told you that I would be staying longer because my friends were coming over." The girl nodded sheepishly. "I know, but I thought you'd all have gone off back to the Timecrest Guild by now." Roger smiled at her. "Yeah, we will be going soon. We are just having some quality time and rest together before we leave." The girl smiled shyly. "Then I'm glad I caught you. I wanted to ask you if you'd like to have a quick sip of my dragonberry elixir? I know you enjoyed it last time, and I've made some changes that I think you will like." she frowned slightly. "But if you want to stay with your friends ..." Roger glanced back at the team. "Well ..." "You can go, Roger. We'll meet up with you later," Ash said hurriedly. Roger stood uncertainly for another second before he finally turned and left with the girl.

I looked at A.C, Elise and Ash. "You're going to the Timecrest Guild?" They nodded. "Can you do magic er ..." "My name is Westlyn," I told Ash. "Right. Well, can you cast any spells, Westlyn?" "Yeah. I can do some fire magic." I felt like I should ask what kind of magic Ash could do in return but I already knew. However I decided to go for it anyway since it seemed like the natural response. "What spells can you cast?" "I can do some Levitas, Incendiatas and I know Anextas." "Cool." I fiddled with my hands before finally asking, "Maybe, could I come along? Could I travel to the Timecrest guild with you guys?" A.C's frown deepened. "You have to register with the guild. You can't just walk on in without an important reason." I stared down at my hands disappointed. "But we can't just leave you here all by yourself. Could we help you return home?" I shook my head. "No, it's fine. I'll be able to find my way back by myself." I resisted the urge to sigh. After all of the trouble that I had gone through looking for Ash, it looked like he was just going to leave me behind.
