Gage hummed a reply, not really sure how he was feeling. The past couple months had gone by in a blur. "I'll let you know," Gage answered his partner's question with a smirk.

Standing in the doorway of the small Intensive Care room, Dixie silently watched as Johnny pleaded with Roy to open his eyes. Dixie silently shook her head, knowing the futility of trying to send the young paramedic home to rest but she knew she had to try.

An on-the-job injury results in a nasty concussion for Johnny that gets worse before it gets better. Roy does his best to help his stubborn best friend recover even after Johnny accidentally exasperates his condition out of a selfless notion of not wanting to complain even when he begins to feel terrible, and Roy has to deal with the guilt of what happens to Johnny.
