As the construction of Kotou finished Yukari's plan also completed. While there are still some bickering between Alternative Yukari and the Crane it was clear Kotou would be in a good condition once she returned to Gensokyo again.
Alt Yukari: I would love to have a visit in Gensokyo once I could learn how to manage the affair of Kotou while dealing with these pests.
Alternative Yukari looked at the other heavenly beings with an annoyed look. Yukari gave her a replica of the Scroll of Illusionary Dimension with a final advice while Yuyuko and other went back to Gensokyo.
Yukari: Learn to compromise with them if you wanted to implement your vision into Kotou. Only a mutual respect the balance of Kotou could be kept in a good shape.
Meanwhile in Gensokyo, Vạn Thư had been improving her life more and more ever since she became friendly to the Yokai through the drinking party at the Hakurei Shrine and her good relationship with the villagers in the Human Village allowed her to forget everything about her old hermit life.

Vạn Thư: Yukari told me about everything that happened after my disappearance in Hakoniwa. So far the affair in Hakoniwa and the newly created world named Katou had been in a good status thanks to her help.

Reimu, Marisa and Vạn Thư sat in the Hakurei Shrine as Vạn Thư needed an advice about her Duality Brush as she intended to dispose it as she wanted to end her librarian career
Marisa: I think you should keep that Duality Brush unless something wrong happened again. Incidents always happen in Gensokyo anyway.
Vạn Thư: Mamizou was right, I couldn't be truly at peace if my past kept pulling me back. The librarians in Hakoniwa had been in a total decline since the fall of the Library while Hakoniwa is currently at peace without much trouble to begin with.
Yukari might be untrustworthy but I already sensed that much during the war as well. Sengi might be corrupted by my scroll but the life of the people was very peaceful during his rule compared to the other. His son's rules are also very benevolent thanks to the words of Thiên Điểu.
On top of that all of the scrolls from the Library had been either burned or destroyed. That's means there won't be any use for this brush since it is specialized in burning the magical scrolls originated from the Library and it is useless against anything else.
Suddenly Reimu snatched the brush away from her with a very greedy face!
Reimu: In that case let me use it as an exhibition for my shrine to attract the villagers for profit!
Vạn Thư showed her awkward face while Marisa sweat dropped. Vạn Thư simply smiled and said cheerfully to Reimu.

On the next day the Hakurei Shrine began a new exhibition festival as the Duality Brush became a center of attention of the curious villagers. Of course that brush inside the secure glass at the festival was a fake one. The real one had been kept inside a storage room of her shrine.
Vạn Thư meanwhile returned back to her usual life as a book writer in Himari's mansion and Kosuzu with other regularly visited her out of boredom. And yet troubles refused to let her go just when she thought she could live her peaceful life happily ever after…
Vạn Thư: WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY BRUSH IN YOUR SHRINE GOT STOLEN AGAIN BY YUKARI!?
