Chapter 3

Previously

I started running towards my house screaming and crying never noticed I just ran through the people surrounding me and, on the way, as well as the strange light emanating on the middle my chest in a small golden glow. "MAMA, PAPA HELP!" I screamed very loudly while rushing to go home.

1 Hour ago

I was running to my house at full speed not even daring to look back or even anything else but forward, feeling like a demon right behind me outstretching its claws so very close towards my back. "MAMA PAPA HEEELP!" I screech so very loud and kept repeating it those three words while running hysterically. I haven't even realized that despite my age from what is happening to me right now and what I have seen, my shouting of mama and papa to help me, it's like I went back to being a small child not knowing what to and scared. Turned into a frightened child.

My mind was in disarray so much from the confusion and fear I didn't even notice that I just ran straight through the front door of my house and shouted for my parents to help me. I scoured the whole of downstairs from the leaving to the kitchen, hell I even opened the cabinets and fridge to hope I would find them but nothing not even answer. I then ran towards the stairs and search the whole of upstairs with same results. The last place I went to was my own room but I was so mentally drained from everything that happened until now and the shouting that made my throat sour somehow. Once I got inside my room, "mom dad where are you?" I whimpered.

I collapse on my knees and curl up hugging both my legs with my arms and falling on my right side quietly crying. I don't know how long I was in that position, but it really felt like eternity, as I have finally calmed only then my mind has started to think straight even just a little. I then remembered that both my parents were out of town along with my brother for all vacation to help my younger sibling with his mental health, so that's why no one was answering from my shouting. As my mind becoming more stable, I started recall the event that started this, but it was unhelpful whatsoever considering it happened so suddenly. I was just walking back home from the store with the foods I was carrying with both my hands and when I was at the stop light to cross the road, I looked at the sky and notice something yellowish gold in colour that was getting a little brighter. When the stop light turned red, I ignored the light in the sky started to walk forward to cross and then suddenly a bright goldish colour just flash in front of my eyes and I felt an impact landing on my chest just beneath my sternum and then nothing. After that I was walking home without a care in the world just feeling odd about myself and decide to ignore it since I was so excited for a new update of my favourite webtoon.

"What will I do now" I said to myself quietly. "What will happen now, why is this happening to me, what's going to happen once my family get back and find out what happened to me. I questioned to my surroundings. My tears have dried up and throat seems okay now and I'm a little relax now but I still don't know what will happen now, I recalled the incident that started this again and decided to lift my shirt to see the place I felt the hit was. Once I lifted my shirt, I note the inside of my lower chest is somehow glowing. The strangest thing was it wasn't just glowing it was pulsating with the same rhythm as my heartbeat. Then my attention was caught by a light emitting from my closet door to which I completely remembered I turned it off before I left the house. I finally decided to stand up to check it out but my approached was slow so that I couldn't be surprised. When I started to reach the doorknob, I froze and thought it will just pass right through it, but then I remembered with a now small calm mind when I tried to search for my parents, I seem to be able to open cabinets, doors inside the house. However, I just couldn't fathom why I can touch things inside but can't on the outside of the house. So, at last I made a choice to reach out for the handle and felt a sense of touch I longed for despite it wasn't even more than a day I found out I died. I was relieved to be honest even smallest touch from a handle of a door gave a sense of solace inside me. "Okay here we go" I said to myself.

I turned the doorknob and pulled to open my closet door to find out what making that light behind it. What I discovered was so unbelievable, so unreal I thought I was in a dream, but then I remembered I died and now a ghost of some kind, so anything is possible at this point. I was expecting my clothes and other stuff when I opened the door but I never in a million years was I anticipating what lies in front me that should have been my clothing. My bedroom closet is gone and replacing it? Was another bedroom. "What the" I said confused.

Like there was a room within a room of some kind. However, this new bedroom I'm looking that should be my closet is different, very different it has a full body mirror in its corner of the room. I closed the door and opened it again to see if it goes back to normal, but once opened it still the same different bedroom, I did this repeatedly with the same results over and over and eventually gave up. I was starting to feel scared again but slowly, so closed my closet door and backed away and head toward my other door that lead outside my bedroom. When I opened the door, my eyes widen, and heart starts quickening "no" I said slowly and quietly because beyond my door that supposed to be the exit was the same bedroom I saw in my closet just moments ago. My breathing is becoming erratic by the second, so I closed the door and head to the closet to find out if it changed yet it was still the same one. Even my panic I started to think so I made a plan, I kept the door of my closet open and ran towards my exit door to open it as well.

Then I discovered what should be impossible, but my eyes are perfectly clear. Two doors opened that should be leading to different locations, but I am looking the at two simultaneously and there both showing the same bedroom the is not mine whatsoever. "I am definitely dead, aren't I?" I ask myself in a dull tone. I started breath slowly to calm myself and it work but only in small measure. I had one more idea that just pop out of head, heading to the window to get outside. So, I slide it open and the same thing happened again. On the other side of my window is the same bedroom as the ones as both doors, however there was some thing different showing on the window, same room but in a different angle. It seems my window is showing what's inside the other bedroom from its own angle. I stood in the middle of my room felt so much fear, confusion and depression I just stood still looking at my ceiling in a daze thinking one thing that seems to be the one and truth of my current predicament. "I'm trapped" I said my thoughts a loud. "I don't know what's going on, I don't know why this happening to me, not even knowing how it happened to me….well maybe the latter must the strange light that hit me out of nowhere and is now glowing withing my chest. But is still don't know what it even is as well". I said talking to myself. I sighed deeply. "Maybe just maybe the answer to those questions is within that other 'room'". I said with a little sound of purpose.

I look towards the direction of the road that led to the stop lights where I died and having thoughts of my family on how they will react and how possibly they will be after this day ends. I closed my eyes and sat down on the floor, breathing slowly and making pure thoughts of positivity to lessen the invisible feel of burden of leaving my family behind even if it was unintentionally, I never intended to die in the first place anyway. Now thought its like I have no choice but to walk through the doors towards unknown and sure as hell I am feeling scared even right now but I'm keeping it down to make a choice not out of fear.

Ultimately, I made the decision to walk through to the unknown with determined eyes and face whatever it is on the other side with everything I got. "I pray and hope for you Mom, Dad and little brother to have a better future and move on from my death together" I said loudly while my hands clasped together, and eyes closed.

"Okay here I go" I said resolutely while opening my eyes and narrowed a little, face filled with confidence. I started to walk towards my closet leading to the other 'room' and when I took the first step on the other side with my foot, I felt really odd sensation that's indescribable but I didn't let it deter me, I continued on and I felt the sensation throughout my whole body now. When I finally entered the other room I felt weird, strange almost alien of sorts kind of feeling. I felt a little taller, my hair is longer and spikier? My body feels lighter and strange as it is healthier, stronger and harder, it's like I'm made of stone but not. "Feels like I can lift up an entire mountain, but man this is a strange feeling" I said. Then I notice my voice is so different, a lot different, I almost screamed out of surprised. Good thing I held it down. "phew" I relaxed. What's even stranger is my emotions I believe, I feel so 'different', I can tell it is still me being me but at the same time it is not me if that makes any kind of sense. The odd sensation I felt after I died is gone but it's like it's been replaced by a new odd kind of sensation. Then I saw the full body mirror in the room and walk towards it to see any more changes about 'me'.

Present

"To think all that happened in span of an hour. I guess there is a saying out there somewhere 'time flies when you find out your dead' hehe". I said still laying down on 'my bed'. For now, I'll take a nap and enjoy to finally having a feeling of being completely calm and relaxed after death and lastly going through another world. I'll face this new future of mine once a wake up. "And some people say being isekaid will be amazing, they really have no idea" I said lastly just before sleep took over.

I truly hope you guys like chapter, took me the whole afternoon and night to finish this. So, what's do you guys think of this version of how the MC gets isekaid.
