Finally, it was dark out, after waiting so many hours for Noah. Rex scanned the beaches as he swam back and forth the rocks near their agreed meeting place, looking for the blond boy.

It was only when the clouds moved away from the moon, letting the bright light of the full moon shine down on the beach, did Rex spot Noah heading down from the hills.

Rex shifted as he darted for the sand, greeting the other teen. Noah placed down his gym bag and Rex could see his blonde hair had started losing its more yellow yue near the roots, changing into the whiter color of a harp seal.

"You good?" Rex asked. It was Noah's first time sneaking out of his house so late, but Rex had wanted him to experience one nice night of swimming. With all his school and extracurriculars, Noah wasn't getting enough time in the water as a young selkie should be.

"Yeah," Noah said. "I'm a little bit nervous though, it's kinda hard to see. Also…I bought a pack of oreos!" He brought out a tightly wrapped plastic package of oreos.

Rex smilied, grabbing the package from him. "Nice!"

"I was thinking we could use something to eat out on the island," Noah said as he brought out his coat around his shoulders and shifted into a harp seal.
