Rex popped his head out of the water of one of the sea-side entrances to Providence, looking this way and that to check if anyone was around.

'All clear,' he thought to himself, smiling. Rex's lower body shifted as he exited the water and he quickly grabbed a towel to dry off. Grabbing his zipper, he zipped up his winter coat and skipped over to the changing rooms to grab his clothes.

Noah had agreed to meet up to go hang out! Which, unfortunately meant that Rex had to put on his "human" outfit, which covered up any and all mermarkings Rex couldn't shift. It wasn't that uncomfortable of an outfit, but Rex preferred a plain t-shirt and shorts. He didn't quite understand why he had to cover everything everything since he could easily pass off some of his markings as tattoos, and the fact that there were some mers that did live in on-land society (more so after the Event), but Providence was very over-protective of their mers under their employment.

Rex was about to head out of Providence before he realized he didn't have any money. Usually if Rex was hungry, he just nicked some food off someone's plate, which was something only acceptable in mer culture.

'Dang it,' he thought, heading to Holiday's lab. 'Now I'm gonna have to stop by Holiday and beg her for a couple bucks. Totally not suspicious at all.'

Rex found Holiday hunched over a table covered in pictures of mers Rex had never seen.

"Heeyyyyyy, Holiday!" He greeted her. "Whatcha doing?"

"Just got some intel on a pack of dangerous mers, so I'm reviewing over previous sightings Providence has had with them in European waters. Can you look at this one for me? You've traveled a lot so you might recognize this one."

Holiday handed him a photo of an orca mer with long black and white hair and a weird looking arm. On the back it read: "Van Kleiss". He flipped the photo over again and tried recalling if he'd ever seen this mer.

"Nope," Rex said, popping the "p". "I don't think I've ever seen this guy. I'd think I'd remember him."

"What about any of these?" Holiday fanned out photos of an EVO wolffish, a whale mer EVO, and…a crystal lizard?

Rex shook his head. "I would have definitely remembered running into an EVO pack."

Holiday sighed. "Oh well," she said. "If you do see any of them, swim away. They're a group of terrorists, but they're heading over here from Europe for unknown reasons."

"Like here here?" Rex asked. "Do I need to be on stand-by because I had, uh, other plans today. Human plans if you know what I mean."

"Like with a…?" Holiday raised her eyebrow.

"Maybe~" Rex coyly said.

"Well, good for you," she said. "You should be able to act your age more. Just don't let any agent see you. How much do you need?"

"Probably enough for a sandwich and then some.
