Two weeks later…
FBI cubicles
David was feeling frustrated with the paperwork they had been doing for the past couple days, though they had just worked a big case that required multiple agencies and lots of sleepless nights.
He actually was feeling grateful for Bradford, who is also Don's therapist, for helping him deal with his recent issues, namely with Colby.
It had started to dawn on him that his attitude not only drove his once best friend away, possibly for good, but it caused Don and Megan to keep a distance from him, and now he is trying to figure out a course of action.
Megan was on the phone, presumably with Larry, as she was talking about weekend plans at a bed and breakfast and about meeting with an old friend, possibly Colby if he was correct as she just looked at him, as if she was worried about his reaction.
For him and Claudia, he was just glad that they are on better terms and are even still dating, he knew that it was him causing some of their recent problems, not Colby and he wondered what he could do about it.
He was also grateful that Don invited him to his and Robin's wedding, as he knew that Don was a little nervous around him, making him wonder if he invited Colby but decided not to ask, as he felt he was probably still on thin ice with Don, given some of his actions during the past year and hoped he would soon get on better terms with him and Megan.
Liz seemed to do better with him, though she was only here for a short time before everything blew up, so she wasn't as badly affected as they were. It might not last long, though, as she was being assigned to go to Washington DC for a few months, meaning she and Colby might end up working together, as he was sure they were also talking on the phone, something he wasn't doing with the man.
Another regret of his, as he knew Colby tried calling him a couple times a while ago, but he never answered and Colby hadn't tried again since. Even though he was still somewhat mad at Colby, he was still sad when Colby left for DC without saying goodbye to him, as he knew that his attitude since the incident caused him to do such action.
David just couldn't bring himself to even talk to him yet but he knew he would have to eventually if he was to move on from this mess.
He just didn't know when or how.
