Chapter 4: Miracle

White, bright nothingness surrounded her, but she felt no pain. Maybe the cataclysm hadn't reached her yet. Looking around, it was as if the destruction had created a dome around them, trapping them. Chat Noir seemed okay, as did the other holders, they also looked just as confused.

"What just happened?" Ebony Mao asked out loud.

"Is he trying to capture us?" Tigre Mauve asked.

"I'm not sure." Ladybug got up and looked around them again. Then she noticed something. She reached her hand out in front of her and came into contact with a hard surface that reacted to her touch. There was a light green group of hexagons connected to each other in between the white light. It shimmered only for a moment, so she almost didn't see it. "We're in the turtles shelter." she realized.

"So, we're safe?" Chat Noir asked.

"For now."

"But what about the rest of the city?" Red Beetle jumped in. "You said that Chat Blanc could take out all of Paris!"

"What!?" Chat turned back to his lady so fast, his neck twinged.

'I- I don't know..." Ladybug was trying hard not to panic. She hoped they could still fix all of this.

"Chat Blanc, stand down." they heard a new voice, and it was coming from outside the shelter.

Then all of the sudden the outside world was visible with the mega-cataclysm fading away, and all that remained was the green shelter surrounding them. The city looked like it was still intact, and Ladybug could still see some civilians running away. So, Chat Blanc had only focused on them. That gave her some relief. The shelter then went away, and the group turned to find a new face standing next to the white cat. Someone in a deep red suit and long cape.

"Hey, that's the akuma I fought earlier." Chat Noir pointed out.

"What?" Ladybug was even more confused. If this was the akuma, then what were the others?

"I see you found some more imposters, Chat Blanc." the newcomer addressed the white cat.

"Again, with this imposter nonsense!" Chat Noir grunted.

"Chat Blanc was saying the same thing." Ladybug added.

The akuma removed her hood, and everyone was in a further state of shock and confusion. Some looked to Ladybug and back to the akuma because she looked so similar. Under the hood, she had the same pigtails. Her mask was a deep red like her suit, only rather than the spots, there were two black shrieks under her eyes, and past the mask as if she had been crying tears of ink.

"You would attack each other without question, that tells me that you're not the right ones." she said, her voice sounding angry and disappointed.

Ladybug couldn't understand what was happening. Having the presence of Lady Noir, or Ebony Mao as she heard Red Beetle call him, was strange enough, but two other version of her kitty. Then there were these two akumas. Was Chat right about Shadowmoth making copies of them. Was this some sort of elaborate plot to get their miraculous. If that were the case, then what's all this about being fakes? What makes this akuma version of her say that? She got a better look at her and saw that the circles on her suit had the symbols of the other miraculous, much like the akuma Miraculer. Did that mean she had all the other powers?

"And what about you. Who's to say you're not as fake as the rest of us!?" Ladybug countered.

"I'm the one with the power. Wayzz, shelter." One of the spots on the left side of her abdomen started to glow, next thing everyone was in their own individual shelters. No one could bust their way out because they all used their powers, and they only had a few minutes left before they lost their transformations.

"You are quite the warrior, my dear." a new voice spoke up, and Ladybug turned to see that it was Shadowmoth.

"Oh great." Chat Noir sighed.

"I am Shadowmoth, and you are...?" Shadowmoth didn't even glance at the others. Did that mean that this wasn't his doing?

"Miracle." she answered plainly.

"Well, Miracle, I would like to take this opportunity to..."

"You're not real." she interrupted him.

"I beg your pardon."

"You're not the real Shadowmoth. That coward would never show himself away from his hiding spot." she hissed.

"While I take offense to being called a coward, you would be correct." he pulled out what looked like a pair of cheap sunglasses." I am a sentimonster sent here as a messenger, and I would like to make a bargain."

"Thanks for telling me. Chat Blanc." she called out his name, and he seemed to understand what she wanted right away. He jumped forward and tore apart the sentimonster with his claws. When the feather was released, he flicked a cataclysm at it. "I would never believe the words that leave that monsters lips! After everything..." she started to get upset but stopped herself from saying more. Chat Blanc had returned to her side, and she started petting his head like a real cat.

"That's a good kitty." she scratched under his chin, but he still showed no emotion. He just stood there like a doll.

Something about the display didn't sit right with Ladybug. "Wait a minute, are you controlling him!? Did you do this to him!?" she accused.

"What does it matter to you?" Miracle said in a way like she didn't really care what she thought.

"How could you do that!? He's your partner, and you turned him into that!" Ladybug was livid. Chat Noir was confused as to why this would anger her so.

Miracle was a bit confused as well, then something sparked in her eyes and her expression changed to understanding. "Ahh, I see, you've seen this form before. It happened for you as well."

"What?" Chat Noir said. Did that mean he was akumatized before, and Ladybug didn't tell him? Why?

"Yeah, I've seen it, and I've kept it from happening. The last thing I would ever want is my kitty to suffer." she put her hands up against the shield.

"Interesting. Chat Blanc." Miracle snapped her fingers as Chat Blanc lunged forward toward Ladybug.

The second she snapped her fingers, the shield surrounding Ladybug vanished, and the white cat grabbed hold of her, keeping her in place. She couldn't reach her yoyo, and the white cat didn't flinch when she kicked him in the shin.

"Ladybug!" Chat Noir cried out, beating against his own prison to try and reach her.

"Tell me where your guardian is." Miracle demanded, ignoring the angry black cat.

"Guardian?" Ladybug struggled against her captor.

"Yes, the one with the miracle box. Either one of you has it, or one of you knows where the guardian is. Tell me now, if you don't want this bug to get squashed."

Chat Blanc readied a cataclysm in his hand and held it toward Ladybug's face. Everyone looked at her with worry but couldn't do anything to break free and help her. Chat Noir kept pounding against the shelter to try and make it break. If anything happened to his lady, he would never forgive himself. He felt so helpless.

"I won't ask again!" Miracle shouted. No one liked the look in her eyes. Not only was she angry, but she also seemed desperate, which was a horrible combination with how much power she had. No matter what, Ladybug couldn't allow her to get her way.

"We won't tell you, no matter what you do to us." Ladybug said, not showing any fear.

"Milady..." Chat whispered.

"She's right, we won't tell you where the guardian is." Red Beetle spoke up. Tigre Mauve and Ebony Mao both nodded in agreement.

"Fine, see what you think when my kitty turns this bug into ash!" Miraculous said, getting more and more angry. "Chat Blanc, kill her."

"NOOO!" Chat Noir was throwing his body against the shield, not caring how sore he was getting. "I'm going to tear you apart!"

"You'll all be next, and in a few moments, it won't matter when your powers run out." All their miraculouses beeped down to two minutes as she said that.

"I don't think so! Venom!" shouted a new, but familiar voice.

A flash of yellow went by Ladybug's peripheral vision, and the next thing she knew, Chat Blanc had stopped holding on to her so tightly. She didn't think twice about it and jumped away from him. She grabbed hold of her yoyo, and threw it at Miracle, wrapped it around her legs and pulled her off her feet. This made the akuma lose her focus, and all the shielded heroes were released. Chat Noir was instantly by Ladybug's side, and she took a second to see what had saved her. It was a girl with the bee miraculous, but it wasn't Queen Bee or Vesperia. She wore pigtails that looked like bee thoraxes, her suit was black on the top half with a yellow V shaped stripe on her neck and one on each arm. Then there was a black V stripe where the black ended on her chest area, and the rest of the suit was yellow save for the two black stripes on each thigh. Then on her wrists and ankles were decorative pompom looking bands, yellow for the wrists and black for the ankles to match with the boots. They reminded her of a flower, what was is called?

"Marigold!" Tigre Mauve came up to the bee holder.

"Tigre, there you..." but she stopped herself to look at Chat Noir, and then back at Tigre Mauve. "Chat?"

"Long story." was all Tigre said.

Then Ladybug remembered the paralyzed white cat. "Quick, get the akuma off him before the venom wears off." she called out, reaching for the white bell.

"NOOO! Longg, Wind Dragon!" Miracle screamed out.

Next thing she knew, everyone was being blown further away by a strong zephyr. Ladybug tried to keep her eye on Miracle, and through all the wind and dust she noticed something. She was saying the names of kwamis, and every time a spot on her body glowed. This one was the dragon, and the spot on her left elbow was glowing. But there were two other spots on that same arm that were glowing, one on her shoulder, and one on her forearm. The wind finally knocked everyone off their feet, and when it stopped, they looked to see Miracle holding on to Chat Blanc for dear life.

"You won't take him away!" she screamed in near tears. "Kaalki, Voyage!" Next a spot on her left thigh glowed, and she took Chat Blanc and jumped through. Ladybug could see the building the portal opening to. It looked like the Grand Palais, where they first fought Mr. Pigeon. Then the portal closed, both of the strange akumas vanishing.

"What the Hell was that all about?!" Ebony Mao yelled out in great annoyance.

"I don't know, but we barely have a minute left, and we can't stay here." Ladybug acted quick by pulling out the horse miraculous and unified into Pegabug. She opened the portal to a high spot in the Eiffel Tower. "Quick everyone, go through and we'll figure this out."

Reluctantly, each one of them agreed and jumped through, hoping to find some answers to what was going on.

Gabriel Agreste couldn't even comprehend what had occurred this morning. First, he receives an akuma alert that he was sure had to be a mistake, because he hadn't even been up in his hideout yet, much less sent off an akuma. Naturally he took precautions by ordering his son's bodyguard to return him home. Then he started looked through the news on what could be occurring. Could it perhaps be another time traveling akuma, sent to change the past? If it was, he would take some extra measures to not be double crossed again.

Looking through the news real, he finally came across the akuma. A cloaked one, bent on attacking Parisians. Then all the sudden this one vanishes, and a white version of Chat Noir showed up. Now this was interesting. It was definitely stronger than that obnoxious stray he's had to deal with for so long. Then Ladybug shows up, and it's evident that she's no match for this 'Chat Blanc' as she calls him. It looked like he was going to finish her off, until a tiger looking hero shows up to save her. This one looked very similar to Chat Noir; did he use a different miraculous?

He would have contemplated more on the matter if he hadn't received another news alert. This time it's that first akuma he saw, but she's fighting Chat Noir. If this was Chat Noir, then who was the tiger? Then all of the sudden another black cat shows up, and he receives different news alerts of the miraculous holders fighting against each other. This could prove to be most useful. He didn't hesitate to take the elevator to his observing station and transform into Shadowmoth. He waited for the right emotion to take control of at least one miraculous holder, until the caped akuma put a stop to the brawl.

That was when Shadowmoth realized that this cloaked character, be it akuma or a simple holder, had several miraculouses in her possession, and she was able to use them simultaneously. Not only that, but he had each of the heroes in their own magical cage. There has never been a more opportune moment. If he played his cards right, he could finally have possession of the bug and cat miraculous. Quickly pulling out a pair of cheap sunglasses he kept on have for such occasions, he powered up a feather for the amok and made a replica of himself.

"Senti-moth, I grant you this amok so that you may move and think at your own free will, since I know we both want the same thing." he handed the sunglasses to the sentimonster.

"And we both know that with or without this amok, you can still end my existence." Senti-moth smiled knowingly.

"Indeed. So, you know what you must do?"

"Lure this akuma, or whatever it may be, to our side. If we're lucky, we'll be able to get one of each of these miraculous copies..."

"As long as we get one ladybug and one black cat miraculous." Shadowmoth finished.

Senti-moth left off to the battle scene, and Shadowmoth was able to get a good view through the sentimonsters eyes. These newcomers certainly caused a bit of damage. When he arrived on the battlefield, he found that the multi-holder had trapped everyone, save for the white cat, in their own individual shelters using the turtle miraculous. He wasn't sure what this confusion was about false users, imposters as she called it, but either way this could not have worked better in his favor. Senti-moth wasted no time in announcing himself. She responded by giving the name Miracle, how interesting. He did get a little miffed at being called a coward, but he wasn't going to let that stop him. Then out of nowhere, the white cat came up and destroyed the Senti-moth, and not to where its merely lost control like when Chat Noir uses his cataclysm, his ties to it were completely lost. How was this possible?!

"It seems I underestimated this Miracle character." he said to himself.

He pulled out his tablet to get a look at the news again since his window through the sentimonster was lost. So far it seemed like Miracle still had the heroes at her mercy, and now Ladybug was in the clutches of the white cat. Shadowmoth wandered what Miracle's goal was, and if it would vary from his own. It looked like she was going to dispose of Ladybug, which he couldn't deny would work to his advantage. He could easily intervene with another sentimonster, and take hold of the miraculous. Then it would just be a matter of getting the black cat. Not only that, but he would also have a chance to get one of these 'clone' heroes, to increase his advantage.

Then all the sudden the news revealed one more hero entering the playing field. This one obviously had the bee miraculous, but it looked like a different one compared to Queen Bee and Vesperia. In fact, it looked like Ladybug. Before he could think more on the matter, Miracle attacked them all at once with a strong wind, and then took the white cat and disappeared. Then finally all the other heroes left together. What in the world was going on in Paris today?

Before he could call of his transformation, a portal opened up right in front of him, with Miracle and Chat Blanc stepping through it. How was she able to find him? Did she come here for a fight? He wouldn't allow her to win. He had come too far to stop now.

"Hello, Shadowmoth." Miracle greeted him. "Or should I say Monsieur Agreste."

"Why have you come here?!" he demanded, not even bothering to deny her accusation. If she could find him in his own house, what else did she know?

"I've come with a little proposition for you. I believe you were willing to extend your hand in alliance."

A devilish smile crept over Shadowmoth's face. He really couldn't have anticipated such a morning when he woke up today, but it could not have worked out better for him.

An: I was really excited when I got to put Marigold on the scene. I loved her design in the comic, even had a bit of fun by taking a ladybug action figure and painting it into the bee hero, thought it turned out pretty good. Even painted one of Chat Blanc and Miracle for extra fun. Miracle's suit consists of all the miraculous, with the first main seven on her body. The zodiac ones are arranged somewhat in the order of the circle. Like imagine her body being in the position of Da Vinci's Vitruvian man and the order of the Chinese Zodiac. The rat to the snake goes from right wrist to the left. The horse, goat, and monkey went down the left leg, and the rooster, dog, and pig go up the right.

Like I said previously I had to take a small liberty concerning zoe-oneesama's comic, and it was involving Chat Noir. I didn't want to have to write about two of the exact same cats, tried it as a rough draft and I was really confusing myself, never mind having to deal with three Marinettes and three Adriens. So that's when Tigre Mauve came into the picture, and it was nothing altering to her story which I have high respect for, this was just more of a convenience for me. Concerning the name, the color mauve was the only one that was the same in French, and tiger sounded the same, so I felt it worked. Yes, I know mauve is more of a pale purple, but my argument is that Purple Tigress looks more magenta or dark raspberry but that's her name, so there. Anyway, hope everyone is still having fun, and there is more to come.
