Chapter 1 cousin bound
It was the night of Antonio's ceremony and everyone was having a blast . Well everyone except Maribel of corse . She felt completely lonely for not having a gift and can't be part of the family . She decided to leave when Antonio notice her leaving and decided to follow her . " Antonio we're are you going ? . Pepa called out when she saw him leaving . I'm going to see if Maribel is ok Antonio said back . Ok said Pepa who then went back to go dance with Felix .
Antonio went outside his room to see her cousin staring at the floor And The floor had cracks . " what are you doing Maribel " . Maribel looked up and was surprised to see Antonio notice her she thought he was partying in his room . " Antonio what are you doing here I thought you were partying in your room ? " I did but then I saw you leave and I wonder why ? " well I felt like I didn't fit in and well decided to party out side your room . Antonio made a sad face . " alone ? Maribel was surprised that her cousin was concerned for her normally no one ask if she was ok . " yeah don't worry I will be fine . " can I party with you i can't be around anyone else I'm nervous not being with you around ". Antonio hung on to Maribel like if a baby Koala hung onto there mama . " of corse you can . Antonio giggled when his favorite cousin ruffled his hair . " what's with the cracks on the floor . " don't know care to help me Antonio ? " YES ! . " ok let's start looking first thing in the morning .
CHAPTER 2 the search
The next morning everyone was at the table for breakfast . Camilo was picking on Isabella and got flowers in his mouth . Pepa was looking at Maribel wondering what they did last night . " what did you guys do last night . " we just talked and hang out like we usually do . Maribel didn't want to tell her what they found and she definitely didn't want to tell that she , Antonio are going to help the magic . Though she needs to take extra carful with Antonio or Pepa would kill Maribel for what she done to Antonio . After breakfast and the talk Abuela gave to them everyone went to work . Dolores told Maribel to go talk to Luisa and that's we're Antonio and Maribel went too . " Morning Luisa how are you . Luisa turned around with a twitching eye and full of stressed ( clearly abuela had her work none stop ). "Why everything is great I'm not stressed I'm not stressed IM NOT STRESSED ! Luisa yelled and started to cry of how much pressure she has on her . " so many demands and so much work to do I have to protect everyone while working with everyone and ... " LUISA calm down your stressing your self out take deep breaths . Luisa takes deep breaths and calm downed . " sorry about that I got so much on my hands and I'm so stressed I need a break . " I bet you do Antonio said sadly while hugging Luisa and in return she hugged him back . " what do you guys need . Maribel quickly jumped in and told her . " do you know anything about what's wrong with the magic . " I do not sorry but if you want to know check Bruno's room maybe the answers are there " . Ok thanks Maribel said while she and Antonio left . " were are we going now ? " to Bruno's room .
CHAPTER 3 Bruno's room
Maribel and Antonio made it to Bruno's room and they went in even though casita can't help them . When they went down the sand and saw the huge amount of stairs they both moaned at how much stairs there were . Antonio's animal friends joined them as they went up the stairs . " of how high these stairs go you think he had a faster way to get to the top . " tell me about it Antonio I'm so tired of walking these stairs BRUNO YOUR ROOM IS THE WORST ! They both laid down at the top but when Maribel got back up and saw what's next she got even more frustrated. " COME ON THIS IS RIDICULOUS! She told Antonio to stay while she got some rope and got to the other side barely . " stay there Antonio I will be right back ok . " ok but don't be gone for to long . Maribel went into the cave and saw some green looking crystals and she putted them together and what she saw then shocked and confused her . " me ? Suddenly the cave collapsed and was falling she was running out of the cave and jumped off the ledge . She missed the spot and she thought she would die but then Antonio caught her arm . " thanks for that Antonio now come on let's get back . They got back out of Bruno's room and they accidentally ran into abuela . " we're were you two we been looking for you two . They both froze looking for a response to say . "We we're in my room playing and having a bound Antonio said hoping to move on . Abuela looked skeptical at first but then she moved on. " ok we'll make sure you two get ready for dinner tonight. Abuela then left to get more work done ." ok let's go to your room Antonio and hide the crystals in your room . Ok he said and they both went into the jungle room . Meanwhile the family was setting up the dinner table and tonight's the night were Isabella asks out her love what could possibly go wrong ?
CHAPTER 4 the proposal
Mirabel was talking to Antonio about what she say and still was trying to figure it out what it could mean . " there was a picture of me Antonio . " what could that possibly mean and what part Would I be in and why am I in the vision ? Antonio really didn't understand it ether but one thing is sure that he thinks Bruno can help out . " maybe Bruno can help we should seek him out for answers . " your right Antonio but right now we need to get ready for dinner but what ever you do. "do not tell anyone about it. Unfortunately Dolores came to them both and said " I know . Maribel was very annoyed that Dolores knows but she forgot that Dolores can hear everything . " what have you two been up to I'm curious . " we can't tell you that Maribel said as she wants to avoid this conversation . " you do know I can help you both right your looking for Bruno correct? Maribel was shocked that she knows and if she knows about that maybe she knows about her breaking into Bruno's room . " ok fine we're looking for Bruno . And we can't wait said Antonio excitedly . " you got Antonio into this did you ? " no he asked to come he said he felt lonely . " I see said Dolores she felt bad leaving Antonio alone while everyone else partied that night and even though pepa and Felix stayed very close to the boy they still left him when they danced together without him . " I'm coming to I want to see Bruno as well. Dolores wants to see Bruno but also make sure that Antonio is safe and not to mention make up for lost time when they both didn't hang out . "Can she can she Please begged Antonio giving Maribel the puppy eyes . "ok but after dinner first . Antonio left to go have dinner but then Maribel looked at Dolores sternly but quietly said " DO NOT RAT US OUT ITS IMPORTANT TO SEE HIM she said in a harsh but yet soft tone . Dolores understand completely while being nervous. At dinner everything went down hill pepas emotions went everywhere , Isabella hit Marino in the nose with her plants . Antonio's animal's went wild and a above all chaos insued . After dinner everyone was grumpy and went to bed dinner was a disaster . Dolores , Maribel, and Antonio saw a tiny rat went into the painting they checked it out and found out it was a secret passage and the three of them went behind the walls .
CHAPTER 5 bruno and confessions
Dolores , Antonio , and Maribel went to follow the wooden creaky path . The hallway was narrowed and it was very dark . When the three saw a man in robes they chased after him . " hey come back called Maribel while chasing after him . They kept running until a path broke and maribel fell antonio was caught by Dolores and Maribel was caught by the man in robes . " my your hands are very sweaty . He got Maribel back up and then he said bye and left . "Hold up wait a minute are you Bruno . " knock knock knock knock. Knock knock on wood . " I got questions about the vision . " knock knock knock knock knock knock you were never supposed to see that vision no one was . They entered a little room there were rats chilling out and cozy music playing . " can you please tell me about the magic . " nope can't tell you and are you guys thirsty I can get you guys some drinks i be right back . Maribel ,Antonio , and Dolores looked through a tiny hole and saw the dinning table and kitchen . Bruno gave in and told them . " my gift wasn't helping the family but I love my family you know . " I just don't know how to fit in anymore . " I struggled with my family and with the towns folks but I love them all even when they don't love me . Dolores had so many emotions running through her right now how could they treat her uncle like this he was so kind and caring . Antonio was still very young but still felt emotions . He felt outraged he wanted his hole family to be excepted but they didn't except Maribel or except Bruno . Things were happening that he didn't understand and he hated that he couldn't understand to help . Maribel went to go talk to her uncle . " Bruno what dose the vision say about me I just want to know if I'm helping the family and making them proud but if I'm hurting the family and if I'm the cause of the problem in the family . Maribel started crying dolores and Antonio hugged there cousin . " I can't tell you because I don't know it started on the night when you didn't get a gift . Bruno explain how abuela wanted him to see the future what went wrong with maribel's gift . He also told them why he didn't tell them . " I knew what they think I knew what they say because I'm Bruno and everyone sees the worst in me . " you left to protect me . Antonio and Dolores but gasp of what they just heard . " while Bruno and Maribel continue talking Antonio went out feeling mad and went out to cool some steam and Dolores followed . " hey Antonio are you ok . " NO IM NOT HOW COULD THEY DO THIS ! . Antonio pounded his hand on a pillow . took one of Bruno's pillows to pound out of frustration . Antonio started crying about what just happened . " how could are family do this there suppose to love and except everyone that's what mom told us to do why didn't she love are uncle . Dolores went to Antonio and hold him in her lap and calm him down . " it's ok Antonio everything will be ok Antonio . " Dolores I want to help everyone and I'm young and I don't understand anything what's been going on I didn't know the family was having a hard life I wish everything could be normal for once . " Antonio you don't need to worry Maribel will try to save the magic and we will be there to support her and Bruno will two . " but how can I help while everyone else helps Camilo entertaining people , Isabella making plants for people , Luisa carrying things for people I didn't help at all . " well I didn't get to help ether I didn't do anything but hear what people say that's all so I didn't do anything to be useful but we will find ways to be useful together . Antonio smiled at Dolores . " there better . Dolores tickled Antonio and he giggled Dolores missed being with her younger brother she will make sure to hang out more often with him in the future . Bruno and Maribel came back out to Dolores and Antonio . " I will help you guys out
CHAPTER 6 The vision
Bruno tells everyone that he needs a big room to show a vision and Antonio suggested that he used his room so they did . Bruno went in the room to do his vision Antonio and Dolores were there interested to see how he dose his vision . Bruno was a bit nervous knowing they won't like what they see but they comfort him . " ok then here it goes . Bruno drew a white circle around him , then he threw salt over him . after that he close his eyes and when he opened his eyes again they were green . he showed a vision of Maribel the center of casita and shows if it gets destroyed or not . Dolores and Antonio were hanging on for dear life when this happened . Bruno say's it just shows the same thing but then Maribel says " there . " the butter fly follow the butter fly . They follow the butter showing a new vision . " it's a embrace no your fighting someone . " am I fighting or hugging ! . " no to save the magic you have to embrace someone . " embrace who ? . The vision showed who it was but Maribel clearly not happy about it . " ISABELLA ! . " your sister that's great . Maribel had a angry look on her face . " every time threw his vision to the ground . Dolores picked up the green crystals so Antonio won't get hurt for walking on them . " great just great Isabella hates me right now not to mention I ruined her proposal why dose she have to be perfect it bothers me so ... " MARIBEL! . Maribel turned to see Bruno . " sorry look your missing the point the vision's not up to her it's up to you and your exactly what this family needs you just have to see it . " he's right you know said Antonio . He was walking to Maribel and so was Dolores. " you are an amazing cousin who dose help out with everyone you even helped me with my ceremony without you I probably would've never walked out so don't cut yourself short your special in your own way . " thanks Antonio that means a lot . What do we do now asked Dolores clearly she wants to the save the miracle and be done already so they can go back to a normal life . " Maribel has to make amends with her sister . " don't worry guys I will be fine . As she started walking she was talking to her self . " time to go save the miracle with a hug .
CHAPTER 7 family fights ( arguments no fights )
Maribel went to go talk to Isabella while that was happening Antonio and Dolores were talking . " I still can't believe what went down Dolores did everyone really suffered in silence without talking to anyone ? Dolores thought for a moment and then said "yes . " we all had different gifts so we all had different struggles for me I can't stand hearing too many people all at once . Antonio looked sad and thought about his ceremony what would happened with his gift . " would I be useful ? Dolores was confused by what he meant . " what do you mean little brother ? " well I been thinking I seen Maribel lately doing nothing so she must not be helpful to the family and if I didn't get gift would the family stop loving me and would I be worthless ? Antonio started crying again he hated how people were seen as a gift more than a person . Dolores scolded Abuela for the things she said and done not only to her family but Maribel that suffers alone and now Antonio questions his own family about weather or not they love there family . " listen here Antonio gift or no gift we will always love you , I will always love you don't ever listen what abuela says it's not true you and Maribel are special like the rest of us and if abuela has a problem with you tell me or are parents and we will deal with her ok I love you Antonio and your special to me . Dolores hugged Antonio and kissed his forehead she will protect her baby brother no matter what even from her own family . When they walked out of the room they saw Maribel having fun with Isabella however that only lasted a second when they heard ... " MARIBEL! there abuela was mad . " you have to stop Maribel your hurting this family . " but I was only trying to help ... " help the cracks started with you , Luisa losing her power was because of you and the proposal was because of YOU ! Dolores and Antonio were horrified of what they heard they couldn't believe there abuela would blame everything on Maribel . " I don't know why you didn't get a gift but that's no excuse to be hurting this family ! Silence fell and the hole family were gathered to watch this argument no one said anything until Maribel finally spoke . " I will never be good enough for you will I ? " no matter how hard I try I will never be good enough for you . Antonio's blood started boiling he felt livid that his so called abuela broke his favorite cousin to the core . She got some nerve to do this and it's high time he did something . " LEAVE HER ALONE ! Antonio practically yelled and everyone including abuela looked at him . He came down and stand next to Maribel and looking at abuela with a very stern look . " how could you say such things about Maribel she's part of the family . " NO SHE ISN'T SHE TRIED TO HURT THE FAMILY ! " NO SHE DID NOT YOU DID . Everyone was shocked even pepa who never thought her son would argue with abuela . " HOW DARE YOU ... " NO HOW DARE YOU because of you bruno is gone because of you everyone is unstable because of you this family is hurting because of you maribel feels like a mistake because of you I question my family's love for everyone because of you the magic is hurting and I stand strong with my Maribel. Everyone was deathly silent after that . Pepe who was more surprised and shocked to hear her son say such words was what he said true ? Ether way she seriously got to question abuelas motives if Antonio said all of this . " I also stand with my brother and Maribel . Dolores came down to stand with her brother and her cousin . Dolores suddenly felt angry two and had some things to say . " YOU MADE ME DO THINGS THAT I DIDNT WANT TO DO YOU HAD ME TO HEAR THINGS FOR YOU I SUFFERED HEARING SO MANY VOICE'S IN MY HEAD BUT YOU DIDN'T CARED ! WHAT ! Said a very angry pepa . " Luisa was working all day and night for you and you never gave her a break how could you she's all stressed out now . Julieta and Agustin looked at there daughter with worry " is that true Luisa ? Luisa nodded sadly . Everyone now was looking at abuela with emotions some looked sad and disappointed or some looked very mad but before she can say anything the house started to fall apart and everyone ran out of the house .
CHAPTER 8 reconstruction
The house was completely destroyed luckily no one was hurt in the process . Though they lost there homes Maribel who was quiet and sat alone looked up to see her mother Julieta looking at her with concern . " are you alright ? " yes mama i am I just wish I could feel part of the family you know . Julieta looked at her with sympathy . " I understand as soon as we build a new house things will change I promise you and your cousin Antonio and Dolores really did stuck up for you when abuela was mad which should have been me I didn't know you were going through this I'm so sorry . " it's ok I love you ma and I miss you guys a lot I just never feel included . You will be now moving forward said Agustin coming up to hugged her daughter . Meanwhile dolores was with Antonio who had been looking for Maribel . " is Maribel ok is she safe what happened to her ? Dolores wish she could help but she lost her hearing gift . " she's with her mom said pepa who was coming to both of them . " Antonio I'm so sorry for making you feel like you feel lonely me and Felix should have paid more attention to you when you needed someone . He looked at her upset . " not only that but you should have treated Maribel like if she was part of the family she was lonely . Pepa remembered the times when she or her abuela gave her a hard time . " i know and I promise I will change will you forgive me Antonio ? Antonio forgave her and hugged his mom . Pepa looked up to Dolores . " you seem to have taken care of Antonio pretty well . She smile at her mom . " thanks I guess I just really wanted to bound with my baby brother . She than picked him up and hold him gently making him fall asleep in her arms . Maribel saw them two and smiled but something caught her eye and it was Bruno hiding . She went to him . " hey you should come out and see your family again . " it's fine Maribel I think they want you more than me he said nervously . She than grab his arm and took him to his family Julieta and pepa both saw Bruno coming and with tears in there eyes they ran to him crying . They hugged him and wouldn't let him go . " Bruno I'm so glad your here again but why did you leave asked Julieta. " I actually never left I lived in the walls of casita . Both sisters were shocked to hear that he never left but stayed in the walls . Why didn't you tell us you were still here pepa said disappointedly . " well I would if I could but I was afraid you guys all hated me because you think I bring bad luck . Julieta and pepa felt pity for Bruno how could they let him suffer for 10 years alone with no food to eat . " we will change that for now on said Julieta surprisingly to have the confidence to say it . "Thanks Maribel for everything . Maribel smiled and said back " your welcome . Things were finally starting to turning around just one thing left now she needed to go see and that was abuela .
CHAPTER 9 forgiveness
Maribel found abuela siting near a pound looking down at it . feeling upset for what she did to her family . " I'm so SO sorry Maribel for everything I really wanted to protect are family from harm but I guess I took it the wrong way . Maribel sat right beside abuela and said to her . "It's ok we make mistakes but I want to understand why you did what you did . " when I was younger I met a young man named Pedro . "We dated for a long time and pretty soon got married . " we had three children which was your mother Julieta, Bruno , and pepa . " Pedro never got be close to the kids because not so long after when bandits came into are village and attacked us and not only that but they stole my Pedro away from me . " so I decided to protect are family from future harm but it turns I harmed the family . Abuela started crying . She never meant for any of this to happened but she was so blind to not know what was happening with the family . Maribel hugged her abuela and she forgave her . " I forgive but you need to apologize to everyone especially Antonio I'm sure he didn't mean to call you out but he was very angry because he didn't know if he was worth anything without his gift . Abuela realized as soon as she said that . " that's why Antonio hesitated at the ceremony he was worried about his gift and what happened if he didn't get a gift . Maribel nodded with her as of saying she agrees . As they both started heading back they both say Bruno coming there way . " this isn't Maribels fault I gave her a vision but if your to stubborn to look pass ... abuela cut him and hugged him and Bruno was confused. " I feel like I'm missing something here . Abuela took his hand and the three walked back to the rest of the group .
CHAPTER 10 Encanto rebuild
When they finally arrived back construction was already on there way . Once abuela got there she immediately apologized and made amends with everyone all but one . Antonio the youngest one in the family needed some time before forgiving abuela. He was conflicted about how she treated Maribel but eventually he forgave her too . Once the building was finished Dolores went to go ask out Marino for a date which he said yes , Camilo can be himself , Isabella dose not have to be perfect, Luisa can have breaks , the whole family is together again , and finally Maribel and Antonio can rest at peace now that they saved the miracle . " we did it Maribel we saved the magic and are family is together again . " we sure did Antonio we sure did . After the family had a family picture the family continues to celebrate while Antonio and Maribel went on top of a hill siting together holding hand and hand looking out at the beautiful sunset together .
