Dipper and Mabel were now multiple weeks into their second summer in Gravity falls. Slowly but surely, Dipper's concussion was starting to get a little bit better, and he began feeling less tired. On the third of July, he finally got his stitches removed.

Dipper and Mabel were sitting on the couch after lunch, and they were talking about what they would do for independence day. "Me and Grenda have got tickets to see the new Ducktective movie" said Mabel. "Why isn't Candy going with you?" asked Dipper. "Did Candy not tell you?" asked Mabel. "You and Tambry are going to be double dating with her." "When did Candy get a boyfriend?" asked Dipper. "I never said she got one, I simply just said she was going on a date" said Mabel.

Dipper and Tambry's date was going to be a picnic dinner up in the mountains, where they would have a really good view of the fireworks. When they arrived at where the picnic was, they could not believe who Candy's date was. It was none other than Robbie Valentino. "Okay, I have no idea, what the heck is going on here" said Dipper. "Well, It kind of started right here, on top of this cliff" said Robbie. "We were just roasting marshmallows, reflecting on the things that have happened in our lives" said Candy.

As they were having dinner, Dipper thought to himself, "I get that Robbie isn't the jerk he was before, but Candy is one of the last people I would expect to go on a date with him." "I have never seen the two of them interact with each other, not even once." "You wanna hear something funny?" asked Candy. "At one point on a road trip, I thought that I had a crush on Dipper." "Candy, I thought we agreed, that we would never speak about that again" said Dipper. "That reminds me of something a friend of mine once told me" said Robbie. "While we can't fix the past, we can focus on the future."

As they were watching the fireworks, Dipper had several questions going on through his mind. "Why is Robbie acting like a saint all of a sudden?" "He did gain a slightly better attitude when he and Tambry started going out, but he wasn't nice enough to the point where he starts volunteering at a homeless shelter." "When did he and Candy become friends?" "Are they going to start officially going out after this?" "What the heck happened since we left this place last summer?"

The following morning, as Dipper was having breakfast, everyone else at the table could see that he had something on his mind. "Dude, what are you thinking about?" asked Soos. "I'd rather not talk about it" said Dipper. "Darn it, are you mad at me because I drank the last Pitt cola yesterday?" asked Mabel. "Well maybe now that his injury is healing, he might be thinking of what adventure he's going on once he recovers" said Pacifica. "I thought I made it clear, i'm retiring from mystery hunting" said Dipper. "Okay, something is wrong with you, you used to be all for investigating things around this town, and you weren't afraid to take as many risks as possible" said Mabel. "Mabel, have you ever heard of a thing called maturing?" asked Dipper. "Boom, there is your answer." Then Dipper thought to himself, "Wait a minute, maybe Robbie is maturing too, and he's making changes in his life." "Huh, maybe I was wrong to question his attitude change, I guess that maturing is just a part of growing up."

Authors note: The population of bullies in this world that have turned their life around, is probably a whole lot bigger than you think. It's not just bullies, this also applies to people who used to be in prison.

If you remember, I foreshadowed Robbie and Candy possibly being in a relationship, in a one shot that I made over a year ago. I never forgot about it, I've just been busy with a lot of other things.

Thank you for reading and please have a great day.
