The wind caused my hair to lash out in the opposite direction we were headed. I had asked Midoriya why we were leaving with the Origami Festival coming up and he told me that it was actually a week before it actually happened. As we inched closer to the area Midoriya lived, the wind picked up a sudden chill, and Midoriya, Olivia, and I headed inside the boat.
"It's getting a little late." Midoriya yawned. "We should probably head to sleep."
Olivia had fallen asleep a little while ago, but Midoriya stayed up to comfort me, as I had not been feeling very comfortable. I let Midoriya fall asleep, but I wasn't feeling tired.
I opened my eyes when the boat stopped. Midoriya and Olivia were gone, which meant they had been awake longer than I had. I got off the floor and left the boat. There was a beautiful city not far from the beach. The water looked different, as the water in the area I lived had the look and texture of paper. I stepped onto the beach, the sand being silent.
"Is this our stop?" I asked.
The water was silent.
I looked at it. "Shouldn't the tide be making a sound?"
Still, the water stayed silent and still. The wind was blowing, but the water wasn't affected.
"Midoriya? Your land is odd..."
Midoriya waved for me to come closer to him.
"Midoriya?" I walked closer to him.
I could tell that he said something, as his mouth moved. But still, there was no sound.
"Midoriya?! I can't hear you!"
His smiled faded. "That's good. Now you can't know the truth." The ground beneath me became like quicksand, drawing me in.
"Midoriya? What do you mean?! What are you hiding?" I coughed some sand out of my mouth.
He stood over me with a straight face. "Olly, you are really-"
Everything became dark, and all sound got silent once again...
Midoriya's voice pierced through the silence.
"Olly? You awake?"
I opened my eyes and yawned. Midoriya had shaken me awake. Apparently, I had fallen asleep and that was a dream.
"Midoriya...?" I stared at him with tired eyes. "I had an awful dream..." I rubbed my eyes.
"Oh no, really? Anyways, I came to tell you that we're here!" He helped me stand and led me off the ship. "Welcome to the city of Musutafu, Olly!"
