The crane gently floated into my open hands. It was the same green color as the Toad had been. Midoriya had left us to talk, and upon seeing me standing there with the Origami Cranesman, he could've assumed worse.
"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM?!"
"Calm down, Midoriya." I looked at my tiny father. "He did this willingly."
Midoriya stopped panicking and took deep breaths. "Okay, so you didn't turn evil like he feared?"
I shook my head. The crane moved and fell off my hands, it catching itself before landing on the ground.
"Father?"
"Like I said, I'll still be here!" He hopped, trying to fly.
I picked him up by the wing. "This didn't happen with those other flat ones."
"Yeah, this is a little weird but hey, I'm a bird!" He wriggled free of my grasp and started floating in front of us. "When I was a kid, I said I wanted to be a bird when I grew up. I guess that came true, huh? Ohohoho!" He turned. "Oh, hey Deku!" He faced back to me. "Now let's fold those other nine!"
"Right!" I floated the papers out in front of me. They folded and creased until they became cranes as well. Midoriya had never seen me use my Quirk before, so he was shocked.
"Woah...Telekinesis?"
I shook my head. "Nope! It's Fold of Life!"
Olivia came running down the stairs. "Hey Olly-!" She stopped upon seeing the cranes. I knew what had come to her. She remembered the cranes, and possibly more. "Olly...?"
"Yes, sister? Is everything alright?"
"Why is the Origami Craftsman a crane...? I've seen this before..."
"The Origami Cranesman." I corrected.
"What?"
I giggled. "The Origami Craftsman, but he's now a crane. If you were to fuse those words, it would become the Origami Cranesman!"
She giggled as well. "You're silly. What are you doing?"
"The Thousand crane wish."
"Why are you doing this, Olly?" She said. She had said those very same words while I was a villain as well. "That's a forbidden skill!"
"He allowed it." I said, holding up the Cranesman. "For you, sister."
"F-for me? But why?"
"Don't get mad at me, sister! Fold of Life is forbidden too!"
"Wait, is it?" The Cranesman asked me. "I did NOT know THAT."
"Olivia, help us find-" An idea came to me. "The leftover Origami paper from the Festival! We could use that to fold the remaining cranes!"
"We'll need to ask permission first. But that is a good idea, Olly!" The pointed a wing. "Off to Toad Town!"
"It's a...week until...father."
"Hm?"
"Why don't we wait?"
He sighed. "Fine. In a week, we'll head off to Toad Town!" He pointed a wing again, causing Olivia, Midoriya, and I to laugh.
