"King Olly, don't! That's how you died last time!"
"You'll be gone forever again..."
"Calm yourselves, peasants." I smiled a little. "I'll come back. I won't die."
"H-how do you know that?"
"Because my father told me!" I held up the Cranesman. "See, he's right here!"
"Yup! Nice to see you Toadsworth! How long has it been?"
Toadsworth sighed. "Eight years. Hello, Peter."
"Olly, son, you don't need to do this. You can find some other way to make that wish."
"Death is an acceptable punishment for me, father."
"No, it isn't. You made a mistake is all. Just a little misunderstanding."
The Princess returned with one of her tables. "Here, it's an extra. This'll work, right?"
"You...want me to live? Princess?"
"Yes, King Olly. Sure, you had tried to take over the world, but Bowser had done that countless times, and I still invite him to my birthday!"
Toad tore the table in half. "And look, now your dad doesn't need to be a crane either!"
Tears filled my eyes. "Th-thank you, guys." I looked back at my father. "I guess I should have spared the Toads after all, hm?"
"Yeah, you should've." He said upon returning to his flat form.
I folded the final two cranes with the pieces of Princess Peach's broken table. The crane started glowing as the others gathered near me. I looked up at the sky.
"Thousandth crane, grant me my wi-" The cranes fell to the floor. "Wh-what? What happened?"
"The last time, you wanted to use them for evil. Seems like they don't trust you to make a wish yet." Toadsworth told me.
"N-no! Olivia needs to remember! So we-we can be a-a family again..." I tried to seriously wipe any signs of pain off of my face.
"Let me do it, Olly." The Origami Craftsman said, putting his hand on a blue crane. "I love Olivia as much as you do, Olly. I can do it."
I just simply nodded.
"Thousandth crane, grant me my wish." The cranes lifted off the ground and the blue crane started glowing again. "I would like it if you were to bring Bobby and the Legion of Stationery back from the dead!"
"Wait, the Legion-" The cranes interrupted me as they took off towards the sky.
They circled around a few times, as in trying to find the perfect spot to put their resurrected bodies. They split into two groups and one left through the clouds and the other through the ground.
"Why the Legion?" I asked the Origami Craftsman when the cranes left.
"Well, if you're going to have a Kingdom of your own, you need citizens, right?"
"I-" I stopped. "A...Kingdom...?"
"Yup!" He pat my head. "You can't be know as King without having a Kingdom to match, now can you?"
"I-"
"Olivia can live with you."
"I-"
"So will the Legion."
"I-I-I-I-I..."
"It'll be cool!"
"...What about you...?"
"HM?! ME?!"
"You created me. You need to live in the Kingdom too, do you not?"
"Well...I..." He spotted the cranes gathering back. "Sure. We'll be one small, happy family."
