When Steve left the building, Danny and Grover were watching him through the security camera from outside the palace.
"You know he's going to shoot you if he finds out your secretly watching." Grover said.
"He's not going to find out. Okay...he's safely in his truck." Danny mentioned as he got rid of the camera.
Danny walked into Steve's office and looked for the camera. After a minute, he found it and ripped it off the wall.
Steve drove away from the palace and kept looking in the rear view mirror. "You know, my team will come looking for me."
"Your team will find you dead." Wo Fat answered back. "They won't look for you if they trace your phone and they find it at your house."
"Why not just throw it out the window like any normal kidnapper?"
"Because I want them to see that your home."
Steve started coming up with a plan of his own to try to get out of his current situation. He knew reaching for the gun his enemy had meant he was probably going to get shot during the struggle. Then, he remembered what Wo Fat said to him about never being at his house before.
He took a right turn and cleared his throat. "So, what do you plan to do with me? You basically have all the answers you need."
"I don't want any more answers McGarrett. I want revenge."
He started speeding up the truck a little, hoping Wo Fat wouldn't notice. Once he got enough speed, he made a sharp left turn, causing him to lose control which in turn made the truck flip. He knew exactly what he was doing. The pickup flipped multiple times and finally landed on the passenger's side. McGarrett wasted no time in jumping out of the car through the shattered glass of the driver's side.
Steve grabbed his spare gun from his ankle and went back to the truck. He looked inside and saw that Wo Fat was long gone. He pulled out his phone, which was still in tact and speed dialed Danny.
"Hey Steve. What's up?"
"Hey D. I'm on Hamohamo Street. My truck overturned. Can you come pick me up?"
"Um...sure. Are you okay? I could send some EMT over there."
"I'm fine. Its nothing I can't handle."
"Okay. Sit tight. Ill be there shortly."
Steve hung up the phone and again walked up to his truck so he could retrieve his other gun. He found it and placed it back in his holster.
"Why did I do that? I love this truck." He whispered to himself.
After Danny hung up the phone, he pulled up the security camera from Hamohamo Street.
"Okay. Lets see how bad it is."
Lou looked over at Danny. "Are you sure we shouldn't call EMT?"
"Hey, I think we should but that Neanderthal thinks he's fine. See how he has his gun out and raised? Something happened after he left."
"Go get him. Ill stay here."
Danny nodded and walked out of the office. He dialed Steve's number again and he answered almost immediately.
"Hey Steve. I'm on my way. Are you sure you're alright? I saw the security footage."
"Are you spying on me Daniel?"
"Yes. So? Your truck is overturned and you expect me not to be worried?"
"I'm touched. I truly am. Be careful when getting in your car. Make sure no one's in the back seat."
Danny nodded as he got in his car. "Its all clear babe. Aren't you just a tad bit paranoid if you want me to make sure my Camero is clear?"
"No Danny. Just come pick me up."
"Okay but if you look worse than your letting on, I'm taking you to Triplar."
"I have a few cuts and bruises."
"Its not going to be your call to make Steven."
It took ten minutes to reach Steve and Danny got out of his car and approached him.
"So uh, wanna tell me what happened ad why you look like hell?"
"Not really. Just crashed my truck." Steve responded as he made his way to the Camero.
"Steven, you've been driving my car for over ten years and you have never crashed my car. NEVER. I'm not buying that it was only an accident."
"Huh. Okay. I was going too fast?"
"Wrong answer. Try again."
Steve sighed. "Fine. Wo Fat was in the back seat. That seemed like a good excuse at the time to crash."
"Uh-huh. Okay, now for the next question. Where are you hurt?"
"Got broken ribs and a possible concussion. Other than that, I feel fine."
"Okay. Lets go get you looked at."
"You don't believe me?"
"No. I don't."
