(Welcome to Revved Up Chapter 2! We'll be meeting a few key characters today, and also a little information about why they can turn into cars!)

(A/O: Chapter 3 coming soon!)

(Also, I forgot to mention this before, but RWBY belongs to Rooster Teeth. Otherwise Ruby would be a dog faunus.)

I got up as soon as the birds started singing, which was about 4:20, packed my things, and raced to the airport. Today was my first day at Beacon!

I had never been more excited. After Headmaster Ozpin admitted me into the most prestigious huntsman school in the area, even though I was only 15, excitement was my only emotion!

"Today's the big day, Ruby!" I thought to myself. "You'll finally be a Huntress, just like your parents! The Grimm will never see you coming!"

I Motorized after entering the plane and found a place to park, when the person next to me got my attention.

"Hey, Rubes! Imagine seeing you here!"

I looked to my left, and saw a yellow Harley-Davidson motorcycle, with a holograph of a well-endowed blonde girl holding the handlebars.

"Hi, Yang!" I replied. "I can't believe I got accepted two years early!"

"Well, Ruby, I just want you to know, if anyone gives you trouble, just tell me, OK? I don't want you to feel unsafe." Yang told me.

Hearing my big sis comfort me made me feel good inside. "OK!" I agreed. "You'll do the same for me, OK?"

"Thanks, R-" She was cut off by radio static. Suddenly, a holographic projection of Glynda Goodwitch, the lady from last night, appeared on the path in front of us.

"Greetings, students of Beacon. I am Glynda Goodwitch, secretary to Headmaster Ozpin here at Beacon, and I want to welcome you all to our wondrous school.

If this is not your first year here, welcome back. I hope Beacon is as good as you remember it.

If you are new, make yourself comfortable. You're going to be living here over the course of the school year.

Regardless, whether you are going for the first time, or have stepped in these halls before, we as the staff will try to make your experience as comfortable here as possible. Yes, you too, Bartholomew.

Speaking of which, you are now arriving at Beacon. Please be careful as you leave the plane. Please note that we do allow Motorization in the halls, including aquatic forms, but those who travel faster than 30 mph will be punished. Please, enjoy your school year."

As I rolled out of the plane, I couldn't believe my eyes. In front of me was the largest building I had ever seen. There were trees, patches of grass, and paths going around a marvelous statue of a Toyota Model AA, which had a pair of blades attached to it.

Yang and I met in front of the statue, where we discussed our plans for today. Since it was the first day, we didn't really have to do anything except eat lunch and dinner. By nightfall, which was 8:30, we'd sleep in the First-Day Dorms, because our teams hadn't been decided yet.

"So… what do we do?" I asked Yang.

"Explore, I guess." she shrugged.

"In that case, why don't we split up?" I suggested. "We can find things on our own, then talk about our findings at lunch and dinner."

"Sounds good to me!" she acquiesced. "See ya, Rubes!"

"I'll see you too!" I called. I decided to walk around in my human form. After all, no one had discussed hall traffic rules yet, and I didn't want to crash into anyone.

I crashed into someone anyway.

I sat up, and saw a white haired girl in a combat skirt, holding a fuel canister.

"Watch where you're going! Are you crazy? This isn't a destruction derby, here!" she scolded.

"Sorry…" I apologized, then, still a little confused from the impact, introduced myself with a simple "Hi, I'm Ruby, what's your name?"

The girl smiled all of a sudden, and said "I thought you'd NEVER ask!" For a second, I felt like a musical number was about to start. "My name is Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Fuel Company, the finest of them all!"

Weiss then proceeded to read out a spiel about the whole liability stuff that came with a big company that she would come to own in the future, but she did it so incredibly fast that I couldn't hear a word she said.

So, being the kind person I am, I let her finish, then hurriedly said "Nice to meet you Weiss, hope to see you soon, bye!" and rushed off. I don't think she was very impressed with me, her being rich and me being an average middle class citizen, but oh well.

Eventually I found a bench to sit on, and sat on it. I wanted to get a feel for the scenery. Someone got my attention.

"Uh, hi, my name's Jaune, what's yours?"

I looked to my left and noticed a blond boy wearing plate armor. I introduced myself. "My name's Ruby, nice to meet you Jaune!"

"What's your vehicle form?" he asked me.

"I'm a hot rod! What about you?" I inquired.

"A Prius…" he sighed.

"It could be worse. You could be a sailboat," I whispered, just in case a person with a sailboat form was listening.

"You know what, you're right." he said acceptingly. "Thanks, Ruby."

"Anytime, Jaune!" I smiled.

I did a bit more walking, and I saw things like a park area, where we could sit and relax; there was a cliff that was fenced off; and I got a glimpse of Amity Colosseum, where the Vytal Tournament would be held.

And before I knew it, it was lunchtime.

I found my way to the cafeteria, where I sat next to Yang.

As we ate our first meal at Beacon, a ham sandwich, Yang asked me, "So what'd ya find, Rubes?"

"I met a nice boy named Jaune, and also a white-haired girl named Weiss! She's… kinda cute." I blushed.

"I met someone too! Ruby, meet Blake!"

Yang pointed subtly to the person across from her, and I was met with a tallish girl with sable hair, yellow eyes, and a bow in her hair. I waved hi, and she waved back. "Damn," I thought, "She's cute. Yang's probably interested in her, though, and we know how she gets…"

Yang, Blake, and I had proceeded to talk all throughout lunch. Well, really, Yang talked to me and Blake. I didn't really talk to Blake all that much, because she was so beautiful, and judging by her expression, she felt the same way about me.

After lunch, I checked out the school library, and found a book about Motorization. It's defined as "a process in which a Human or Faunus, who has the ability to do so, uses Aura to change their form into that of a vehicle, motor or otherwise," and it's around since Humans and Faunus, the two dominant species of Remnant, have existed.

Of course, cars hadn't been invented by then, so they turned into things like animals or trees instead. Over time, technology advanced, and our form changing abilities evolved, until Motorization became what it is today.

At dinner, I told Yang about the book I found. And then, the unthinkable happened.

Blake spoke up.

"You like reading? Me too."

I blushed, turned my head, and said, rather quietly, "Well I… I enjoy… reading… books and all that… hehe…" Inside, though, I was screaming. WIth joy. "OH MY GOD SHE TALKED TO ME SO CUTE SO ADORABLE PABWAAAAAAAAH" were the thoughts running through my head.

Dinner was a hot dog, a salad, and 3 off-brand Twinklos. They were called Twinkies, or something like that? Anyone else would have said, "oh it was horrible, tasted like shit, typical school food." I said, "It was delicious."

The First-Day Dorms were, quite literally, gender-segregated sleeping bag rooms. Apparently, some people couldn't sleep, because there were thunderous snores the whole afternoon. And the walls and ceiling were painted the ugliest shade of brown that ever existed.

But I had a good night's sleep. I dreamt of the two greatest facts in this world: that I would soon be a huntress, and that I was in the same room as Blake Belladonna.

I am such a simp.

(Well, that was fun! As you may or may not have guessed, Ladybug will be the main ship focus here. No Bumbleby for you, readers! I am so evil.)

(Anyways, Chapter 3 coming soon! Leave a good review, enjoy and stay tuned for more!)
