Sawyer Flint and his own team of huntsman are included into the plot of RWBY as their own standalone cast to both add to and change the plot. Sawyer Flint himself can only be so mad with everyone, but will Weiss Schnee only add too it or calm down Sawyer’s smoldering temper with her own Icy sting.

The Arc family trip is cut short, leaving Jaune in a condition where his father's only choice is to unlock his aura.
