Consequences of Little Escapades
A/N This is my first fanfic so please RR :)
Disclaimer- All recognizable characters/places belong to the genius Tolkien. I make no money off of this, it is written only for fun. Aërlinwë(Arya) is the younger daughter of Elrond and Celebrían, and opposite of her sister Arwen in everything but attitude, like when it comes to getting what you want...
Chapter 1
I shall sing of the stars in the sky
Above the plains out where I lie;
And with glee my heart high will soar
To the lands and seas of myth and lore.
Yet still I will see above in the sky
The stars brightly shining from where I lie.
Arya grinned as her song echoed from the mountains around, ringing clear and sweet from every cave, crack and crevice. She loved echoes, and always had. Back at home in the valley of Rivendell, she practiced yodeling so much it drove nigh unto the entire valley crazy. That was always fun. Her father, Lord Elrond, never agreed though, and after one of her little escapades, the outcome was usually her being sent off to sew stupid pillows or tapestries with Arwen. But then she had a valid reason, in her opinion, to sneak her horse out of the stables again without an escort and flee to the wild, unbroken lands surrounding.
Like she was doing now.
If only her father would agree that running wild and free was as beneficial as she thought it was. He was about as disapproving as when she had demanded archery lessons and warrior training as a girl. But that was all in the past. She had just dressed up in some of her brothers' old clothes and snuck down to training and had quickly become the best in her class... until her father found out. Then he'd finally allowed her to have a private training master, rather than the classes for the city ruffians.
So maybe someday he would allow her to ride outside of Rivendell without escort. In your dreams, her brain shot back.
"Gee-up, Agnarfin," she shouted to her fiery-red stallion, ignoring the thought as they tore relentlessly through brush and thickets, leaving the widely traveled mountain paths behind them.
The forest seemed to welcome them with open arms, as if beckoning her to travel deeper into the mountains. A squirrel, alarmed by the formidable red stallion and wild-looking girl heading straight at him up the path, raced up the nearest tree and paused on one of the lower branches, scolding the intruders. Arya laughed merrily out-loud, unable to to resist any longer. Mother Nature was a wonderful friend.
She looked back over her shoulder at the vexed squirrel. "Good day to you too, Master Peccuvo!" she called, laughing again as the squirrel puffed his cheeks up in indignation.
She turned around just in time to see a thick branch over the path coming right at her and the last she heard and felt was a sickening crack and sharp pain as she hit the forest floor.

Hehe Please don't kill me. *peeks out from under the table* I will update as soon as possible, which may happen a lot sooner if I get a few nice and/or encouraging reviews... I didn't beta this so all mistakes are mine and mine alone. Sorry of its a little short but it was all I could think of at the moment :)
Peccuvo- squirrel, in Tolkien's elvish. I got it from the Parf Edhellen dictionary.
