Somewhere Over the Night Sky

Madison embarks on a brand-new adventure for the first time as she wished to have adventures in Oz along with her dog, Abby. But when Glinda gave her a magic necklace, Madison must learn what powers it has as she journeys with Dorothy and her friends in the land of Oz.

1. Chapter 1

Madison was on her bed in her room, looking through movie after movie on HBO Max on her television, as she was trying to think on what to watch. There were so many DC heroes, cartoon shows from her childhood, and also seen Studio Ghibli films which she seen them so many times. She groaned as she felt bored. "This is ridiculous! Nothing to watch." she said to herself.

She let out a sigh, but then looked at her old doll collection that were standing on the shelf. Seeing some of the Disney princesses but also saw Dorothy, Scarecrow, and Lion dolls. "I wonder if..." she thought.

Madison clicked on search from her remote and typed 'wizard' and there she saw it, 'The Wizard of Oz' movie. She smiled and said, "Been a while since I've seen it. I'll watch it then."

She clicked play and movie begins with the music playing and the lion roar for the opening credits.

Several minutes as the movie kept on playing, Madison was in the middle of the scene which is the Emerald City. Madison smiled and wondered what it'll be like to be in the city and wear a pretty green dress. Suddenly she heard the door opened. She looked at it and saw no one came in but as she looked down, she saw a Miniature Dachshund coming in.

Madison smiled knowing who that was. "Hey Abby." she said as she got out of bed. She gently lifts her up and placed the dog on her bed. Abby looked around the bed and lay down by the side of the bed. Madison sat down and gently petted her fur and continue watching the movie.

"Would it be something Abby? Having an adventure in Oz with Dorothy, Toto, and the rest of the gang?" she said as she continued petting, "I wish I could have an adventure in Oz with them." she said and looked at her dog, "Course, I don't know about you but I'm not so sure you'll be having an adventure with me cause you always bark a lot at people."

Madison looked at the sky from her window and saw how dark it is. She reached to her phone and saw that the time was at ten. "It's getting late. I'll finished the movie tomorrow." she said. Madison paused the movie from her remote, turn off the television and lights, and then got under the covers.

"Goodnight, Abby." she spoke gently to her dog and tried to sleep but couldn't stop thinking about the movie. "I wish I was in Oz." she whispered and closed her eyes.
