Moments later, Madison, Dorothy, and their friends were in the dark forest with weapons and traps in their hands. 'The woods are dark and scary like in the movie.' Madison thought as she held a sword in her hands. Thank goodness that she was back in her pink dress. She wouldn't imagine the emerald dress be torn and ruined for this mission.
Abby looked around to see the trees, she was a little shaken up but growled at them if the trees were alive like last time.
The group stopped to see the signs that read 'Haunted Forest', 'Witch's Castle 1 mile', 'I'd turn back if I were you!'. Madison looked at the face that was on the signs, it was creeping her out a little. "I'd turn back if I were you." The Lion read. He nods his head and turns around as he was about to leave, but Scarecrow, Tin Man, Dorothy, and Madison stopped him and shook their heads.
They continued walking while Lion let out a few growls and tried to roar until he along with everyone heard tweeting noises. They looked up and saw owls with glowing red eyes and their heads turned towards them. The Lion tried to make a run for it but Tin Man and Scarecrow quickly grabbed him while Dorothy and Madison watched.
Another bird sounds have caught their attention as the group looked up to see scary looking birds chirping. The birds stared down at them with glowing red eyes as well. "Okay, this is getting scarier and freakier at the same time." said Madison. "I believe there's spooks around here." said Scarecrow. "I think so too." she replied. "That's ridiculous! Spooks. That's silly." said Tin Man. "Don't you believe in spooks?" Lion asked as he looked at him. "No. Why only... Oh!"
Suddenly, the Tin Man was lifted into the air as Dorothy, Scarecrow, Lion, and Madison look up then saw him being dropped to the ground with the sound of clank from his tin body. Dorothy and Scarecrow quickly ran towards "Are you alright?" Scarecrow asked as he and Dorothy helped him up and Abby was barking.
Madison didn't have time to stop her dog as she stood close with Lion, huddle each other as they were scared. "I do believe in spooks, I do believe in spooks, I do, I do, I do, I do." said Lion as he was chanting nervously. "I believe with you on that." said Madison.
She watched the Tin Man got on his feet while Dorothy and Scarecrow wiped the dirt and leaves off of him. "Are you alright?" "I'm alright! I didn't know that was gonna happen." "Now you believe in spooks?!" Lion asked. "Yes. I think I do." he replied. "We must keep going! The castle is only a mile away." said Dorothy. "Yes, let's." said Scarecrow.
The group continued walking while Madison had her guard up with her sword, looking sideways to make sure no one is around and also not to swing it at her friends. 'I feel like Rapunzel. Only I'm carrying a sword instead of a frying pan.' she thought.
As they kept walking, the woods became darker and darker. "Why is it so dark out here?" Lion asked. "I don't know. It might be how the woods are." said Tin Man. "Do you think it's the witch's doing?" Scarecrow asked. "I don't think so." he replied. "Did anyone bring lanterns?" Dorothy asked but the group murmured 'no'. Madison didn't think of bringing one because she was with them grabbing weapons and nets but what she didn't know was that her necklace glowing.
"Madison, your necklace is glowing again." said Scarecrow. Madison looked down at the gem as it was shining bright. She moved sideways and realized what was it doing. "I think... I think the light made a beacon for us to see." she said. "And look! You can even see the path." Dorothy pointed. "Yes, and that will be easier for us to get through this part of the woods." said Tin Man and Scarecrow and Lion nodded. "Lead the way, Madison." said Scarecrow.
Madison nodded her head and walked in front while the others followed her. They kept on walking until they heard something. "What was that?" Scarecrow asked. "I don't know!" Lion answered. Madison listened carefully until she knows those sounds which means...
She looked up and saw something flying towards her and her friends. It was the flying monkeys! "Look!" she pointed out. All looked up in the sky seeing flying monkeys heading right towards them. They quickly turned around and ran away as fast as they could until flying monkeys landed and began to chase after them. The five separated as the monkeys ran after each of them.
Dorothy kept on running until she turned and saw two winged monkeys chasing her. "Help! Help!" she cried out as she kept running. "Get away now!" the Tin Man yelled as he was swinging his axe. The monkeys surrounded Hogarth as one monkey in a tree took his axe. "Help! Help!" Scarecrow cried out as the winged monkeys were tearing him apart.
Madison swings her sword at them. "Get back you! Get away from me!" Madison yelled at them. She kept on swinging at a single winged monkey. But as it was flying up on top of her, it knocked the sword out of her hands and two winged monkeys grabbed her and pulled up. "Let me go! Let me go you ugly creeps!" she screamed at her as she was struggling. Abby barked at them for carrying her mistress but as the winged monkey was about to grab her, the Dachshund bite it's hands. The winged monkey took a few steps back from her and flew off.
"Toto! Toto! Help!" Dorothy shouted until suddenly she was lifted up by the winged monkeys and screamed, while Toto was barking at them. The little dog looked up, watching as Dorothy and Madison were taken away. Just then a monkey picked him up and began to fly away. The monkeys began to fly away into the night sky, retreating back to the castle.
"Help! Help! Help!" Scarecrow cried out until Tin Man, Lion, and Abby came to him. "Well, what happened to you?" Tin Man asked. "They tore my legs off and threw them over there! Then they took my chest out and threw it over there!" "Well, that's you all over." "They sure knocked the stuffing out of you, didn't they?" said Lion. "Don't stand there talking. Put me together. We've got to find Dorothy and Madison!" said Scarecrow as he watched Tin Man and Lion start working on putting him back together while Abby stayed close to him.
Madison, Dorothy, and Toto kept on flying into the sky by the monkeys. Madison kept on struggling until she along with Dorothy saw the castle. They came to a tower and as they went inside, the monkeys released them and fell down to the floor. "Dorothy! Are you alright?" Madison asked as she checked on her. She saw the girl with tears in her eyes as she was scared. "I'm fine. What about you?" she asked and Madison nod. Dorothy looked around and notice something missing. "Toto? Where's Toto?" she asked. "I don't see Abby anywhere." said Madison as she looked around until they heard a cackle.
The looked up and with fear on their faces, they saw the Witch of the West, holding Toto in her arms. "Welcome. Welcome to my home." she spoke with a sinister grin.
